- Organised by the North London Collection, this running day featured buses from the 1980's, 1990's and 2000's, all rear engined, many with low floors. Filmed in Godstone, Lingfield and East Grinstead.
A great low floorish idea for yet another enjoyable event.
It was a great event, no Routemasters, no RT's which made a nice change from the usual London related events.
Great video. I was only on LJ56 VSZ in October 2021 when it was operating Rail Replacements. How quicklyl things change but it's nice to see it's been preserved.
Thanks very much, it is nice to see that some more modern buses are being preserved.
Good to see DLA1 strutting her stuff again. Magnificent sound
DLA1 was at the Worthing bus rally too, looking amazing.
@@bobhodgestransportDVDs Restored to that new bus smell it had back in the early 2000s
That surely is was you call a little one just as others but alot longer
Great video
Thanks very much, it was a very interesting day.
Where is this (City) and is it always running those journeys every 10th of July?
Godstone is in the county of Surrey which is to the south of London, East Grinstead is in the county of East Sussex which is south of Surrey and stretches to the south coast of England. This event was a one off, it may happen again next year, we will have to wait and see.
@@bobhodgestransportDVDs You gotta let me know of the next time London Bendy Buses get rolling lol.
@@Moshimulations The last few ex London bendybuses have just been withdrawn from the city of Brighton & Hove, on the south coast of England, there are 2 or 3 preserved which turn up at events sometimes, I have 2 videos featuring the London bendybuses, one features all the routes that they worked on in London, and the other was filmed earlier this year when they were still running in Brighton, both are on my UA-cam channel. I will try next year to find out if any of them are going to any of the events that I am going to.
Very cool video , do you know if there is to be another one this year?
Thanks, the Bromley bus preservation group are doing it again this year on 16th July based in Godstone again and running 2 routes to East Grinstead via Lingfield. I hope to be there.
@bobhodgestransportDVDs do I need to buy a ticket anywhere or is it free ?
@@theWestSussexbusboy It is free, timetables are published on Facebook, I think on the Bromley bus preservation group page.
@@theWestSussexbusboy Sorry , wrong information in my last reply, the information about the 16th July event is on the North London Collection Facebook page.
@@bobhodgestransportDVDs I'll take a look now :)
An interesting concept to play with 'modern preserved' buses as main theme. Who knew that 15-20 years would fly so quickly?!
I guess that most modern buses last for 15 - 20 years so anything older than that can be considered for preservation.
