A great place of visit. Having lived for 30 years in North Manchester, before moving to Whitefield, I rode on many of the buses which are now in the Museum, including trolleybuses, which used to serve parts of East and North Manchester until December 1966. I remember the acceleration of the trolleybuses was quite impressive, when compared to comparatively low powered 6 litre and 7 litre diesel engined ones. A nice place to vist, with a nice tea room and plenty of places to sit and things to see. And the 53, whose terminus was Queens Road, the location of the bus depot and museum.

Hi Paul Thanks for watching, I don't know when you last visited but the Tea room has recently been refurbished with new seats and tables and a wider range of food is now available, there have been several events on this year celebrating 200 years of bus services in Manchester (and Salford), with another one due on 28/29th September recalling the "Orange years", from Selnec to De-Reg and GM Buses. Maybe worth a visit.
