I just made a steel chassis for my Slash with a cheap harbor freight mig and now I’m addicted to making them and about to drop some money on a AHP 200 tig welder and begin my journey into this side of the hobby
Wow I love it that is awesome, I will be watching all your videos on this build question the son of the digger body is it as big as that axial gravedigger body because I have the TraXXX son of the digger body and it's too small, and Merry Christmas to you and the family
Good evening Tony cages look awesome thanks for the close ups. How is the weight, on the cages I see the monster truck has dual torsion bar mounts. Dual shocks like your Grave digger would be cool. Have you seen newish proline solid axial Servo saver? I think they replace steering drag link but yet to install mine. The mud truck, my Scx10 is heavy and I use Traxxas Slash proline rear shocks, had proline scaler shocks even with 100 weight shock oil, the truck would sag. Happy Holidays. Later
Wayne Miller I went with a metal transmission, metal links, metal sway bars etc. only thing still plastic is the axle cases. Kept them, but put meta tubes inside.
Malaysia Custom Crawler Fan..... Good job bro...

Are made of rods or tubes?
Rods.
That's funny that you're showing this because a guy's been making these on UA-cam for years from scratch
Where is the link?
Do you know how much he charges for a chassis?
It was $400 a few years ago.
I'm a fabricator and am going to start building my own, just wondered how much they were.

Kind of a waste with a metal roll cage when everything else is plastic still

To u is a waste to others not.
Get rid of the trailing arms as monster trucks dont use them.
