Got my Bog about 2 weeks ago. So much fun. I did snap an axle and blow my servo up but I was sending it off a pretty big ramp. "Bed" section of the body only lasted 2 runs before I tore those off. Plan to swap the body out so wasn't a big deal there. Bunch of new wheel/tire combos on the way so I can run it on asphalt or dirt.
We’re racing mega trucks in Southern Illinois. I’ve raced against LMTs that are running Fling Kings which makes them very similar to the new RTR mega truck.
Just previous week, I went mud bogging with my basher. A thought of an rc specifically designed for this stuff came across my mind. Now, Here we are !!!!!

ive had the chance to see both trucks in real life, and they are incredible. I am so glad they decided to do this. I hope (they dont need to do an rtr for all of them) they can put out some accessory kits that have a body and color coordinated chassi rails and cages for trucks such as ace in the hole, the purple king sling, and some other trucks that go to mmsp.
Hard to decide on Dennis or Weston’s truck. Both are amazing but I just can’t decide. Bog Hog gets my attention a bit more though. Great rigs and great review Greg, thanks

You did another great review. It looks like a lot of fun. I was surprised that there were not holes in the battery box. There should be a warning about the vented wheels since it's the Bog Hog and it will spend a lot of time in the water. I saw one other review and in that case the shocks leaked also. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Yeah it needs some holes in the box especially if someone is running a shorty pack. There is a Wet Conditions Maintenance paragraph in the manual that suggests how to get water out of the tires. Not sure what’s up with the shocks though. Still thinking on that. 🤔
@@rcdriver I zi think it's much easier to prevent water from getting into the tires than getting it out after wards. A simple piece of good duct tape covering the vent holes in the wheels will accomplish that. I did that this winter in the snow with my Summit.

For the shocks do this, flip over that allow the oil ti stay inside, and if you don't want to do that use green slime, and the axle can reinforce with epoxy become more solid
Having the entire Anderson family on board with the LMT, I knew this would be coming eventually. Still haven't got me an LMT.....keep trying to sell my slash drag car,(mamba x, 4.5 turn surpass motor, custom airbrushed Nova body) or trade it for one, but not like that's likely. I bought some king fling tires for my smt when they came out. I just love these trucks tho
Love that orange chassis! I might be waiting until a chop shop sells a slider version. I've got sufficient electronics and would rather get a clear body and different tires.
My area is in a drought. The median of our local highway caught on fire 4 times in the last month. It luckily rained a few hours before I went to shoot video, so at least I could get some sorta mud action. 🙂
I am wondering if these new parts will make fitting bodies to my LMT easier. I have had my LMT since launch ran it every week, broke almost nothing. The LMT is a fun reliable truck. Great video again RCDriver
It is. The battery in my GoPro died while I was filming the speed test. There was one insane speed crash I was hoping to show. It cartwheeled for days. Ugh! But the truck survived.
That machine is sick! I watch the Diesel Brothers and the dirty 7 and that thing looks just like the real truck. I'm sure there will be a class of racing now that these are out. They did it for the T-Maxx, and the slash so I am sure they will do it for this too. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Of course, they release one after building my SMT10 mega truck LOL. I'll just add this to the list of things to buy. As for the leaky shocks... best way to fix that is some Proline Powerstrokes, I"m slowly replacing all my shocks.
It's really great that Losi put together something that fit a new real-world motoring genre, rather than a LMT2 with a longer wheelbase and new battery straps...Well, now, come to think of it, I guess that's what they did. Still, enough changes to make it very cool.

It's gorgeous, I love the color!! You know there's a new FMS that just came out, the 1950 Ford F1. It is called "MAGNUM SCALER 1:18 FMS - ROC11814". I just bought one it is beautiful.
Is the receiver box actually sealed i know all the other rc iv got they say they are sealed but the receiver always gets wet and something electronic goes out when playing in wet areas thats my biggest concern is will it actually be waterproof and wont mess up…. My son wants one bad but since its made for the mud thats where he will have it 90% of the time just want to know if it will hold up and not have to pull the receiver out after each session to clean it and dry it out
Yes, I did a number of slow drives through the water which allowed water to get in. It’s similar to what crawler guys are putting their trucks through. Thick mud tends to stay on the outside. Watery mud runs the risk of getting inside.
@@rcdriver thanks, good to know. I wonder if packing the ends of the axles with a bit grease will help, especially around the bearings. Would’ve been nice if they made seals for this truck.
@@rcilluminati26 Yup, grease around the edges would be the easiest way to get them sealed up. Creating actual seals for this multi-piece axle probably wouldn’t be an easy task.
To be these types of mud trucks, they should have put a 6s system in it. Definitely a nice LMT option but i already have the LMT Gravedigger which would be easily converted if i had the desire to do so. Probably cost me less to do too. I'm not saying someone who likes the mud truck shouldnt get one, im just saying for me it wouldnt be ideal to buy a second one. My current LMT is fairly modified and would be ideal to make the changes to the Gravedigger.

I bought the spectrum 1900kv 1600 series motor off jennysrc not realizing it wasn't the Lazernut 550can 1900kv motor , it's an 8th scale motor 4270ish size can. I wonder if it will fit

My smt would have a wheel hanging off, and would have destroyed the pinion bearings after a run like that.

Truck looks awesome orange is the one I will get. What makes these water proof though? Kinda iffy running electric in the water.
They sealed up pretty good just need maintenance and understanding won't last as long

@@ryurc3033 the losi I'm sure is a much better rig out the box but yes they're very comparable same exact layout tvp style chassis front rear solid axle monster trucks. Obviously the losi is much better quality
