I am trying to buy a Sega Saturn in 2022. I have always wanted one and for some weird reason I want to buy this game, some of the racing games, house of the dead, clock work knight and a few others.
This was the reason why I wanted a Saturn instead of an N64 at the time. I love beat em ups and to me, this is the best one. It was like Virtua Fighter controls meets Bad Dudes.
Thanks I had no idea this was on the Saturn. Its my favorite arcade game. Used to play it all the time as a kid. Just another reason I need to track down a Saturn
This game is way more fun than it looks here in this video. We played that trough 3 times in a row in one evening, and it was ALWAYS fun. Check out also "Dynamite Deka 2" on Dreamcast! Very good too!
I've watched a few of your videos, and I'm digging them. Keep up the great classic work (Saturn, Dreamcast, NES, etc), and I'll keep coming back for more. But you got a SUBSCRIBE out of me for the Stefon impression... :-)
I was looking for a review on this game and your video was the first one. I love cheesey games like this and on occasion movies like this. Hey this game is like Super Mario 2 on NES and there is nothing wrong with that. ; )
Had a flashback to playing this in the arcade, and searched up reviews for it.. I didn't even know it was released on Sega Saturn (though I never owned one, so that may be why). The game is a lot more bizarre than I remember, but it makes sense once you mentioned it was another game rebranded. Great review, and (unlike a lot of reviewers) an actually pleasant/not irritating voice. 👍👍
Is it weird that when I cook, I set your videos to run one right after the other? I listen on my headphones and glance over while I'm adding some "BAM!!!" to my meals.
@@Cannotbetamed1 Yesterday, I watched your vinyl episode, and a couple others while I made broccoli & cheese soup. From ingredients. No pre prepared bags. I think I saw Blaster Master, Phantasmagoria, and Vampire the Masquerade. I love all of those games. I played them all when I was younger. I so wish I had friends that enjoy games like you, Riggs, Kelsey, Metal, etc. It shall remain a closet passion.
I lost plenty of quarters on this game and for obvious reasons, was never able to finish it. The Die Hard Trilogy for PS1 is a pretty fun collection of games and the beat 'em up game on that collection was fun enough. Good review!
I find it ironic that the video game started off as something else, because that's exactly how the Die Hard movie was! It was originally supposed to be a sequel to The Detective, a film that starred Frank Sinatra.
Was this the same game that was released on the Dreamcast later on as dynamite cop? That game was incredible I used to play that like crazy all the time
I bought a second-hand copy of this as a kid but it would crash at the start of the dumpster scene every single time. Took it back to the shop but my mom thought all the other copies would have the same issue so wouldn't let me get a replacement. Think I ended up with Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 instead, which was cool, but man, I really wish I could have played this all the way through!
I have the sequel for DC (dynamite dekka 2) don't think I've ever played this though.. Fond memories of playing die hard trilogy with the light gun though :-) Great video and review! You have a new subscriber Lol those hands!
I wonder how this game compares to the Die Hard Trilogy for the PlayStation? That game is sort of 3 in 1, but this looks like a relatively standard beat em up.
This is an interesting game that I had once. Looking to pick it up again fairly soon. Still find it funny that John McClane is really Bruno Delinger in the Japanese version though he is called Bruno in the sequel for Dreamcast.
Totally a fan of your page, Miss Pam :) Besides using the STEAM for current stuff, I'm totally falling for retro games. I have the Wii, 360, Game Gear, Retron 3, and looking for a PS2 in my local PA area on the LetGo app.
Suggestion: Audio levels are very inconsistent. When you're talking in the VO it's way louder (actually about normal) volume. But when you are talking to the camera the sound is very quiet.
+ben decker agh! I had Enemy Zero in my hand at a show yesterday, but it was a bit too pricey. I'm sure it'll get added to the collection at some point.
The controls aren't the only thing that's stiff...... The weird animation when McClane is walking like he is wearing a dirty diaper for the QTE's is stiff and odd. Pervert.
This is a weird one, and it won't surprise me if it's difficult to find an answer, but I just got this for my Saturn and am using it on a Japanese machine with an Action Replay cart. Thing is, the cutscenes with dialog all have Japanese subtitles, and the QTE text is in Japanese as well! It doesn't say "kick" or "punch." Do you have any insight into this? The game is North American and the cart tricks it into thinking it's in a North American machine, so I just don't get it. Edit: apparently, the exact opposite happens if you play Dynamite Deka in an American machine. You can't fool all of the Saturns all of the time! I suppose the smart move would be to sell this for a nice chunk of change and just buy the Japanese version! Anyway, sorry to add this nonsense to your video (but maybe someone else will be helped by this in the future). Thanks for the review!
I only loved one PS1 game. I don't remember the name, but it was a swordfighting game that has no traditional health bars and you pick character and weapon independently.
Used to play this in the arcade. Graphics seemed amazing at the time.

Considering this came before final fantasy 7, it really looked and played amazing at arcades

I grew up playing this game in arcades as a kid. Die Hard Arcade is one of my favorite arcade games of all time.
One of my all time favorite games.

Ha, thanks. Welcome to the channel
Sooooo many quarters was spent on this game! Great experience/memories!!!
+Lifespiller79 I remember seeing this one at local movie theatres, but I always gravitated to the light gun games in arcades.
+Cannot be Tamed Exactly! That's where I remember playing it at too! Also played at the arcades.
I was looking for a review on this game and your video was the first one. I love cheesey games like this and on occasion movies like this. Hey this game is like Super Mario 2 on NES and there is nothing wrong with that. ; )
The beginning of yakuza coach fights

I've actually beaten this game at the arcade back as a kid. loved it.
+EMPERORCEASAR12 That must have cost a lot of quarters
I used to play this all the time at an arcade, that used to be across the street from my house. It's truly a classic!
+Randomark3087 My experience with it was always in an arcade too.
"Joey! This is Die Hard one again!" Chandler
"Oh, but we watch it a second time and it's Die Hard 2!!!!" Joey
I always liked this game, and played the arcade version before I found out it got a home release.
Is it weird that when I cook, I set your videos to run one right after the other? I listen on my headphones and glance over while I'm adding some "BAM!!!" to my meals.
I put on my 'watch later' playlist when I cook as well

John McClane on the title screen looks like an action figure version of Sean Bean.

I think the Dreamcast one is the sequel, based on Dynamite Deka 2.
Great video. Bizarre game. Keep up with the good work 😉
Thanks!
I love this game still play on my Dreamcast Dynamite Deka 👍🏿🤟🏿
I never played the Saturn version. I played the Arcade Cabinet though. I remember I think the Novel that Die Hard was based on is The Detective.

LOL the painting in the back right heh, awesome
+Durrpadil It's from the artist Lora Zombie, I love it :)
the co-op character looks straight up out of Virtua Cop 2!
I have the sequel for DC (dynamite dekka 2) don't think I've ever played this though..
Fond memories of playing die hard trilogy with the light gun though :-)
Great video and review! You have a new subscriber
Lol those hands!
+GRUSS Newton Thanks!

fantastic game action in sega saturn / ps2
excellent review!
+Михаил Талагаев Thanks!
In my top 10 all time ✊
Good onya for doing something on the Saturn
+Retro Cynical There are a lot of Saturn games in my house, figured I should give them a try.
Very nice review. I agree with you. The blocky polygon graphic do not holdup well nowadays
+Longshot Thanks! It's a shame, poylgons seem like such a mistake when games could have made lovely 2D graphics.
Excellent
I loved your reference to the Stefan character from SNL 😅😅
Thank you :)
Totally a fan of your page, Miss Pam :) Besides using the STEAM for current stuff, I'm totally falling for retro games. I have the Wii, 360, Game Gear, Retron 3, and looking for a PS2 in my local PA area on the LetGo app.
Yeah that was a really well done reference, glad to know I'm not the only one who caught it.
so this is why the dynamic cop games to me always look similar to me
Suggestion:
Audio levels are very inconsistent. When you're talking in the VO it's way louder (actually about normal) volume.
But when you are talking to the camera the sound is very quiet.
+Trebor Almasy Oh. I thought my sound levels were pretty good on this one.
I loved this game when they had it in movie theatres...i'm still slacking on getting it for the saturn
Very nice review. You have a new subscriber.
Welcome!
Cannot be Tamed motoro...
32 bit polygons are my favorite
Oh cool, Dynamite Cop!
I had this game! Now my Saturn collection consists of 8 games. Maybe enemy zero for a future review?
+ben decker agh! I had Enemy Zero in my hand at a show yesterday, but it was a bit too pricey. I'm sure it'll get added to the collection at some point.
+Cannot be Tamed really? I picked mine up on Amazon last year. Around 40$ and it was complete in box.
Thanks for the vid! Your face mic was kinda low.
also explains the weird enemies also how in dynamite cop the main character caused over a billion worth of damage lol noeni see how
Which version had 'Death Adder' from golden axe as the one boss instead of the football guy?
The controls aren't the only thing that's stiff......
The weird animation when McClane is walking like he is wearing a dirty diaper for the QTE's is stiff and odd. Pervert.
+RetroGamingTube 85 ha!
The old saying happy wife happy life. That's why for the grocery shopping.
This game's cool, good reviews 👌🏻💜💜
Thanks!
My First 3D Game...
I love this game. Wish it wasnt so pricey
+Jim The Retro Gamer Grab the JP version Dynamite Deka.
Dont you need a JP saturn?
+Jim The Retro Gamer you can get an action replay cart that lets you play Japanese imports

Was this the game you could pick up the grandfather clock and hit/throw it at people in the lobby or am I thinking of another Saturn game?
Yes
What do you use to record your footage?
A Hauppauge HD PVR Rocket
Is it better than the elgato game capture HD?
And I just did play the Japanese version, the die hard trilogy game was a better use of the franchise
hey how about that NES version though with the twin towers? ...that was disturbing
+Kaptain Klassic I haven't played that one. It's set in LA though, right?
+Cannot be Tamed yeah the picture looks like the twin towers though lol
The girl on the title screen looks exactly like Jodie Foster...
Oh dear, those old 3D graphics of that time. Kinda cringe worthy today, at least for me.
+Lord JS Yeah, they are not good. A lot of my old PS1 favs also look terrible now.
I only loved one PS1 game. I don't remember the name, but it was a swordfighting game that has no traditional health bars and you pick character and weapon independently.
+Cannot be Tamed
The game I was talking about is Bushido Blade
Have you played Bushido Blade?
Playstation version is better
