@@euniceshalom some black people in United States will tell you that they are not Africans and don't want anything to do with African people. There are also African Americans who love everything to do with Africans and Africa so it's always a very turf line to walk in which requires alot of balancing but some black people in America 🇺🇸 can be very nasty indeed.

I must say those that are acting this way in Africa is wrong and it needs to be checked but what gets me is that white people been coming to Africa for far long than African Americans and no complaints; what's that about.
For the record I'm not black I'm a person of color who is American yes shall I be condemn for it no but we do need to sit sisters and brothers leading with love and correct any misconceptions and bad behavior.

As a blk amrcn, I agree there are some ignorant and keyword..uneducated blk amrcns concerning people from africa, but for the most part, we are not here looking down on our bro and sis from africa. I know that for sure. The ones that react the way she is describing are misinformed and uneducated about african people. She should not generalize. Every chance I get, I am in Kenya, her country and I love it and the people so much. Sad that she has had those experiences but that is NOT all blk Amrcns. She also has to remember that blk amrcns have been conditioned to think that african people do not like us. I wonder who put that into our heads?? The same people that will be happy to hear her saying what she is saying about all blk amrncs and generalizing. Remember, divide and conquer? Which has happened to a small number of blk amrcns too. Lets stick together yall! Quit all this hate and division!? It actually is senseless. 😢

    1. Any black African who has lived in America would agree with much of what the lady says especially the feeling of superiority of African Americans to African Africans. But this does not apply to every African American.
    2. Anybody who has read about the relationship between African house-slaves and field-slaves, would understand why some African Americans would feel superior to African Africans.
    3. One can read more about this feeling of superiority of African Americans to African Africans in the opinion of E. W. Blyden, an African American Christian, in the book " The Invention of Africa" (1988) by V. Y. Mudimbe.

Listen Eunice, if you have never lived in the U.S as an African, kindly 🤫
I attended college in the U.S in the early 90's and I was excited about meeting the black community, however, all this fizzled out on my first encounter when I realized that they had a stereotype about Africans regardless of which country. They assumed that I was a primitive creature coming from the jungle ,😅 and was mocked and equated to the "Coming to America " characters.
I also must admit that I had an ill- perception about them from watching Hollywood characters from "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and " The Cosby show" ( Yes!!! We had TVs in Africa - ask Charity Ekezie😂)
I also didn't understand that systematic racism was still rife and so I also had unpleasant experiences of this walking into the stores or going to certain areas from some white folks.
Having lived in both continents; the African post colonial and Black American post slavery history, trauma, experiences and how they have coped, overcame and even make current and future decisions are completely different. We can't understand each other in this case. We can empathize and try to learn by asking each other of our experiences...but we'll still never get it. Just like telling a person whose child was murdered that you know how they feel if you have never experienced this type of loss.

Why are you shocked when she is telling it as it is? Some US black celebrities have been heard saying they are grateful, their great great great grandparents entered the ship (slave ship) and its not funny.

I saw one American yesterday telling other americans to unsubscribe to the two youtubers because they met Wode Maya and they are supposed to be Loyal to Marwa. He told them that tgey kive under their mercies and they are the ones who fund Marwas group so they are not supposed to meet WodeMaya. They think by telling us America we will bow down to them nkt

I hate when blacks start bashing each other ..we should be one family. We both wrong and we both right . Let's also give them accolades for some things like All the freedom and things that some of our brothers and sisters in America are enjoying is because of the struggle they went thru ...great music n beats that we rocking to.
