you should do a table top with this weave pattern and then epoxy over the top of the weave! that would look incredible!!!!!! keep up the great work bro!
I love that you can adapt your style to so many different forms. For me, that's where I find the most fun in woodworking. This type of stuff is honestly an inspiration!
Hey, love your videos and ideas. It occurred to me that you could make peeling the grip tape off a bit easier by adding some spoke handles or a large wheel to the rolling pin you use to peel it off. Way more leverage!
That’s just freaking cool Enjoy your videos. Your very talented. I was recently turned on to your channel by that Australian guy who makes everything out of pallets Also a good channel Looking forward to your next videos
New to the channel, I like the niche you’ve carved out. I’m sure it’s been mentioned before, but it dawned on me about steaming the boards then pressing them flat, if it worked your material yield would greatly increase. Giving you more money for your efforts 🤷🏻♂️ Hot steam to remove the grip Flat boards to de-decal in the drum sander.. might be worth a think
Amazing piece of art and craftmanship as always. My only critique is I would have done a more robust hinge. Something so amazing should have the best hardware possible.
Try soaking your table saw blade in some simple green, then hit it with a bristle brush. Should stop it from burning your cuts. It's probably just pitch buildup. If not, it's time for a sharpening, or replacement.
i thought you were gonna use the graphic side of the boards for the effect, mighta looked kinda comic booky compared to how you did it though. sure theres a market for either tho. nice shop man
At 1:25 into your video you have 3 stacks of wood, I’m guessing one is the round ends, one stack is holy and the last stack is grade A color ply. Would you be interested in selling me a medium flat rate box of the Grade A color ply? I think it would a lot of color to my boxes. I did take your suggestion on calling or visiting skate parks. The kids just take the trucks off and then rip the board up. 😮
Nice try. I want to suggest you to introduce another step in your process: washing the boards before cut for hygienic reasons. They were near the asphalt in the past, where people walk and dogs pee, and in the box people can put food ...
I'm unclear about what has not been "done before"...Please explain, as I want to understand. There have been wood-woven top boxes in Asia for millennia...or did I miss something else that you did in the video that is new???
@@DaleDix The most obvious thing was that and I simply did not make the connection...LOL...I was too focus on it being a form of "adjiro," made from wood and failed to take any special account that it was made from salvaged skateboards...Thank you...!!!
The one project we never knew weave always wanted 👌
Oh you
Oh that’s a great pun
Who wood have known

Great idea. Always appreciate your careful attention to the unique properties of the material you’re using.
Love to the new no talk approach. Very relaxing to watch. Great work!!
Your creativity knows no bounds!
Beautiful work - both the boxes and the video editing.
Awesome!!! Great way to think outside the box!! 😂
The weave pattern looks great… Love your approach to Woodworking. Have a great Sunday. !!!
Those look very cool! Love the one you showed at the end with the only blue ones!
Love that you went back to the older editing to the music style. Awesome work
I think everything you make using old skateboards is great but as a weaver I absolutely love this project! 😍
creative idea! I always enjoy seeing what you come up with
Those are sweet and I love your style. Thanks for sharing.
Great design! Love it. I think it’s time for a new table saw blade. 😮
Ben, you make top tier stuff because you are a top tier guy.
Very cool idea, I love the boxes!!!
That is a beautiful and great idea. What is happening on Van conversion?
Awesome! Where can I get that screwdriver? I checked your website and didn’t see it!

I wonder if it's a mix of speed, torque, and area. I love the idea of little wood spokes.
Wonder what one of these would look like as a wall light or desk light. Would the light filter through the weave for a cool effect?
Love these. Do you have a link for the screwdriver you were using?
🤣🤣🤣🤣overspray on the truck… great vid love the channel much love from deep river Ontario Canada 👊✌️🤙👍😎🇨🇦
Very cool great idea they look amazing
Brilliantly executed
Love the traditional Woby video edit. Great projects as always Ben. Love it!
Beautiful woodworking
Try to cut the miter with 45.5 degree so ur edges close tighter.
Those boxes look so beautiful!!!!
I really like the idea! But I have a question
Do Ben remove the sticky part after ripping of the grip tape? won’t it affect the saw blade if not ?
Can you steam bend the thinned down decks? If so, perhaps make them into steam bent chairs, tables, shaker boxes, etc?
New color grading is slick!
Awesome idea and they turned out amazing!
Where did you get that screw driver from?
Super cool, great looking project and a banger of a video! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful work!
M8 they are next level awesome! Weaving wood who knew! 👍🏴
What screwdriver are you using for the screws for the hinges?
Do you have a link to the miter gauge you use?
Looking amazing great job
Very creative, as always.

That looks amazing.
so cool man you're an artist
8:40 now THAT sounds like Woby Design!
Another creative banger!!
Amazing piece of art and craftmanship as always. My only critique is I would have done a more robust hinge. Something so amazing should have the best hardware possible.
Good music
Those boxes are awesome 👌
Cool, its time for 'woooo' !
The pan shot turned out great! Won’t jig for the win! Beautiful work as always.
only 181 likes how??? Still lobe your work and your delivery
Inspirational. Maybe not from skateboards... haha. But I definitely want to try that.

Damn. I thought these were going to be speakers! The mesh front made it look that way ;) Still cool af
amazing , congrats
Gutted these are all sold out! They’d make amazing watch boxes with inserts put in them!

RIP to that trucks paint with all that overspray😂😂
All I can see is that spray covering your pickup lol

You are not a woodworker. You are a wood artist.
Honestly, I was expecting the final product to be a new skateboard. The Wicker Kicker. The Streetweaver.
Genius!
Likeeeeee from Brazil 👍 🇧🇷
Holy Overspray! That poor truck.
Clap hands - okay!
you're inspiring woby, love that shit

Just don’t buy it

If you sold your car, I’m sure you can buy atleast 100 skateboards to help the children too

Probably not with skateboards. Six of one, half a dozen of the other, I suppose.

Make a purse with skateboards
This one of my favorites yet. Less music more machine sounds please. I hope you explore this further
Fucking great work!
