I read that there was no 4k release because of the cameras used during production. Disney sure did drop the ball on an upscaled release though. Could've done it for its 10 year anniversary, and I'd buy the hell outta it.

Some people don't understand why this movie is so harmonically good. It's not because the BEST people worked on it. It's because the PERFECT people that matched with the theme of the film worked on it. You could argue that the best composer they could've brought is Hans Zimmer, and most will say yes. But would've been a good match? And who better to direct and design a world from 0, than an actual architect. Sometimes dreams, like planets, do align once in a while.
the only problems in this movie are the main actor and basically his entire contribution to the plot. He's idiotic, rash, doesn't make a single good decision, and comes out of it as a triumphant hero. Get this guy outta here and show me Quorra and Jeff Bridges.
The first "Tron" was a revolution. And the second was an evolution. It´s a hidden gem that not everybody gets to find. And the soundtrack is just epic.
I just loved, loved, loved this move! The visuals were excellent, and soundtrack was awesome!!! Plus, I always have liked Jeff Bridges' acting. When I first saw the film, I couldn't understand how or why he still looked so young. LOL
Unfortunately Disney will be doing it and they churn out garbage discs now, audio in particular. Damn shame cause this movie in 4K and Atmos should look and sound phenomenal.

I'm sorry but this looks terrible, I have the 4K UHD HDR copy and it looks nothing like this. What ever you have done to this,you have oversaturated the colors and killed the contrast.
