Did you ever interview Peter Stanley? I'm going to start 5 varieties of super hots in the 1st of February. I started in early January last year and ran into space problems and stunted super hots. I haven't thought about bell peppers yet as I'll wait until March first. CC
This is always one of my favorite videos of the year. This is such an exciting time as we plan for the growing season. Your selections are always fantastic. I will absolutely be growing the CC jalapeño and CC Peri Peri. They are my favorite chili by far. Fun to grow the SH’s but I dont eat them much. I wish you and Mrs. CC a bountiful growing season in 2025. Thanks for all you do Shaun! Stay Spicy!!!
Getting really excited for this years season, even though I don't start chillies until March, I've started onions and whatnot. It'll be interesting to see what you think of the warthog CC
I'm obsessed (of course) with kimchi. Making an eggs with rice and kimchi bowl is my current favorite recipe. Every time I tell myself I'm only growing x amount of chilli's this year, I still break my rule. It's like crisps you don't know how much you will do until you're done. Lol. 👍🏼😃🌶️
I look forward to growing your Gochugaru seeds this year ive been making my own Kimchi for a few years now so thought it was time i had a go at growing some :)
I'm growing my first lot of chilli seeds this year! I bought a few from your store and got some KSLS as a gift which I'm looking forward to trying out. CC
A couple of years ago I had far fewer varieties, so the random seeds would have been of interest. Your channel is full of great information and has definitely helped me grow better plants over the past few years. Hope you have a brilliant season and stay spicy. CC
Wow, you've definitely got a lot of different varieties, Shaun. You need another big big greenhouse - you could call it Mega Chump! 😊 I've just ordered some seeds from you. I'm really looking forward to trying them. It's the cc Jalapeno. Thanks for sharing cc
For rocoto peppers I grow them outside in pots so in case of storm or frost I can take them inside greenhouse. As soon outside temperatures is more than +5c I leave them in shaded area for rest of season. In Latvia season is shorter than UK so maybe you can get more than one harvest
Another nice telephonebook. Loving it. Great talking to you. So i guess i am going to wait another couple of weeks starting with my seeds. I can not wait. By the way the overwintering of the CC jalapeño looks to be working. The plant looks quite healthy!
Just brought the cc jalapeño while I’m watching. Can’t wait to taste them…still have a glass of “cowboy candy” in the fridge from last season. Love your recipe. And this channel. CC
I love hearing this selection process each year, always fun hearing about all the varieties you’re planning on reasons for and against. Around 17 minutes in you were looking through Chubby Chilies offerings. The Howeller Orange, from the Michigan Chilli Grower just up the road from me. I grew them last year, fabulous tasting super hot, probably around 1 million-ish SHU. Cute looking medium wall pods with a thick stinger. Surprisingly fruity; made some awesome sauces with it, pineapple, ginger, and cardamom work very nice with it. It’s a Reaper X Aji Mango, grew really well for a mixed species cross, thick stem, very bushy, still got one as a Bonchi. Growing two of them in 2025, see how well they do in a raised bed vs a 7 gallon pot.
Started early this year and both CC Piri Piri and Citron I bought already germinated. Scotch bonnets are the last ones to germinate. Beyond that I have to more varieties that I overwintered so slowly trying to wake up those :)
Greetings from Serbia. I got a 2024 kit and ordered a few more, stuck in an apartment so there is not much room for all I want, however, I do love your seeds CC
Great video...I think this year I'll be sowing my pubescens in January. I never start my chinense until February. Every year my Rocoto struggle to ripen before the end of the year, so figure perhaps they need a bit more time inside before going out... Great video Shaun
I'll be growing about 40 varieties this year (trying to cut down again) 😂 Also growing less super hot peppers and trying to find more tasty varieties which suit my heat level. Barbaras Antipodes are on my wish list, Pepper Geek loved them so much. Looking forward to growing Ghostly Jalapeño, Mattapeno, Peppapeach Stripey Violet Sparkle, Nora, Antep Aci Dolma, Aji Amarillo, Tropical Tiger, Serrano Del Sol, Buena Mulata and more! Let's hope we get some decent weather, last year was pants 😅
I have tried this a couple different ways in the past. A full video, like this, where I made two versions of it. One with nearly 2 hours of me going through my seeds, and the other, a briefer one. The longer video got around 200 people watching it, vs 7k watching the other one. The editing that goes into a video like this one, and the other 2 hour one...it takes a lot of time, especially when releasing two versions. I am more than happy to do it, but there must be an audience for it! Else I need to focus my time on my other projects. Another time I did a livestream of me going through my seeds. Unbelievable the chat comments I had to deal with 😬.
The brain was the first superhot i've managed to grow and crop properly in a cheap polytunnel in Glasgow. one plant is being over wintered and looking well
18 varieties this year. First time since 2019 that I managed to withstand and didn't order any new stuff. Still had some untested seeds in my seedbox so have to get rid of those. CC
Shaun, I think the one you should really shout about is your Antep Aci Dolma - they were amazing last season and so versatile, in what was a poor growing season. Become a staple for me now.
Good stuff, got some seeds germinating already but still have a lot to go. First season with a decently big greenhouse so should be MUCH better than last year :) CC
Interesting with that Bhutanese chilli 😮Growing your Jigsaw Brain this year as I mislabeled it last year and the ones I thought were those were Bleeding Jigsaw. A revamp of that sauce from 7 years ago could be cool! Jes's Purple Peach looks cool. I have seeds for it as well. Lets see if it gets a spot this year! Pepper Geek did a review of the Barbaras Antipodes, you could check that out. I think I saw a salami named something with Diavolicchio Calabrese (or something similar) at the store today. Kind of makes me wanna try it hehe. Also, is it the pepper in Nduja or is that another one? Hallows Eve are pretty cool looking. The ripe pods almost look like glowing coals. Haha fewer plants. We'll see about that! And lol at another greenhouse. I'm sure Mrs ChilliChump would love that! I need to try growing Rocoto again. i've never had any luck with them but i really want to taste one! Cool with the Congo SR 7. Could be cool with a mild pepper with the Chinense taste. None of the no heat ones I've tried tickled my fancy, so something around 60k could be cool indeed! ChilliChump: i'm gonna grow fewer plants Also ChilliChump: i still have another 7 or 8 seed trays to go 🤪I like the look of tray 1 though! That Chocolate Scorpion x 7pot Primo sounds interesting! In tray 2 I'm interested in the Orion. I have seeds for it, but i haven't grown it. Lets see if *it* can get a spot this year! I need to make up my mind which Chinense to grow so i can start them ASAP. And when would you say it is a good idea to start Annuums (need to give your Jalapeno another go) in Sweden? Feels like it should be a week or 2 after you with regards to climate, right? 😄
I grew that 2 years ago and it was the hottest pepper in the garden. Was not the most productive, but it was the only one that consistently gave me hiccups.
Hey Shaun, I'm in New Zealand and trying to grow about 100 plants this summer and I am having a similar summer that you had 6 months ago, it's cold and wet and the plants are growing very slowly. I hope it starts getting warmer soon or I'm not going to get any super hot pods. CC

Jamaican hot red and Jamaican hot yellow are a C.Annuum and C.Chinense interspecific with dominant C.Annuum traits.

Giving KS seed is extremely commendable. Kang has developed some absolutely amazing peppers.

Hi Shaun, Jamaican hot red caught my attention too. The website I bought it from claims it to be Chinense / Annum cross.
That would make more sense! Will see how it turns out.
