That terrified guy was the best actor in this whole anthology by far. His fear induced performance genuinely raised the quality of this short film.
It was good. Especially as he normally plays comedy roles

I liked the very end where the guy wakes up, looks over, and thinks 'fuck this I'm going back to sleep' and puts his oxygen mask back on hahaha. Very well done throughout!

Someone needs to do one of these for the scene that would have occurred in Aliens after Newts family introduced the infestation. It would be a juicy one, so many colonists and no one there to help. You can tell they tried and put up a good fight too, love to see an interpretation of that!
You should read alien river of pain its basically what happened before the marines and Ripley show up

Amazing how there is always one human who, disastrously, wants to see the alien survive and then it runs amuck. Also, when the alien is at its most vulnerable, they stare in shock instead of kill it.
well it’s implied in some media that xenos have telepathic powers, so that’s how i justify the “staring in shock” thing. could also just be frozen in fear
Tho the fact that in the series & the comics people had & can kill a little Xeno just begs the question why not go after it while it feeds on the last kill.

Acid blood means killing it is probably going to get them killed by its blood breaching the ship but it's not too dangerous. If you know what it is stab it as it comes out

now this episode was trully a great one - perfectly captured the atmosphere and claustrophobic feel of the original masterpiece...this director should make a full length feature movie and he may even improve on the original classic!

Each Mini-Movie is crafted so well. I say "crafted" because each, ALIEN Anthology series episode is so carefully worked out. Even the actors, seem completely invested in their parts. In 1979, I snuck into the theater, when I was 9 years old, just to watch the original and I've been addicted ever since. So far, each installment makes my hands sweat. That's saying a lot. They are like these; small, jewel encrusted, shiny platinum gilded, highly ornate jewelry or puzzle-box pieces -- Brilliant. (They tried to do the same with Hellraiser, but it flopped.)
An incredible atmosphere. So I imagine the next Alien film. Thanks for that.

I'll never understand for the love of me why in horror movies: 1) people stand there and watch the creature develop rather than kill it then or run 2) people fall down and can't seem to get up, until the creature kills them smh

I kinda wanted there to be no alien on board and have a study on the paranoia and after-effects of surviving a containment breach. I think that would have been something we had not seen before. Having said that, the short was still fantastic and a great ending.
What an absolutely amazing short alien film all actors where brilliant this should be made into a feature length film 20/10

VERY nice! I was a kid when the original Alien came out, even read the book before I saw the movie. CONTAINMENT kept true to the feelings I remember seeing the original.

OMFG guys. these shorts are INCREDIBLE!!!!! I knew instantly that dude was gonna pop but the tension and atmosphere of the Alien universe still had me on the edge of my seat! Truly the perfect organism! Glad to see a chest burster get some long deserved dedication!

oh my god... everything I wanted. a perfect return to the design of cassette futurism on the original 1979 movie, which was also encapsulated PERFECTLY to Creative Assembly's 2014 Alien: Isolation. I hope that in the future of the ALIEN franchise we can have a return to this kind of low-fi 70's and 80's technological looking future. I LOVE IT!!!!

Loved underrated films like Europa Report & Life as well.
That gas giant looks very similar to the planet KG348 that Sevastopol Station orbited in Alien Isolation. Great short too. Captured all the best elements of Alien, very nicely in 8 minutes.

I love how the beginning is essentially the classic end to a horror movie. The remaining crew are “safe” and the event is “over”.

I have a suggestion. I challenge Chris Reading to make seven more Xenomorph short films where MEN giving birth from their necks. Their necks would inflating in terror for long period of time and burst out aliens.
Pretty good movie. I figured out that the crazed soldier was infected early. I could see a bump in his shirt from the prop. But still a good movie.👏
Really liked this one. It's like the ending to an episode in a TV series.
I like the dramatic music. Its armageddon music at it's best. In reality, I think they would open the door anyway despite what it says on the glass because people are curious cats & curiosity killed the cat.
I thought this was very well done! From the visuals to the cast, amazing work! I can absolutely picture this as a continuance of the Alien series. This short film captured the essence of the original. Chris Reading has nailed it...in my humble opinion anyway. I would love to see a feature length telling of this series, by Chris. Was the pilot of the shuttle an actress from the TV series VIKINGS? She looks very familiar.
