I'm from Japan,I use a flower pot so I can rinse without removing them, and when they sprout, I put a plate over them inside so they grow thicker. I cover the entire thing with a black cloth.

These are marketable to restaurants since there's no dirt. You could sell the entire mat and let the chef refrigerate and cut as needed so they'd be serving fresh sprouts.

I think it's all about watering/draining properly to make the sprout straight. My colander mung bean usually does the trick. 😊

I've been doing them like maanchi shows.
I have an old salad spinner basket that I broke the spinner top for.
I set it in a stainless steel bowl and I put a paper kitchen towel(or you can use a reusable muslin towel/napkin) and I layer another towel on top of the soaked beans then I add a plate. On top of the plate I have a couple old hand weights but a couple water filled mason jars works too. The weight really helps them to grow longer faster. I have an old glass frying pan cover too to help hold in the moisture that I also rinse 3 times a day and cover the lit with an old towel.
I too trim them off the roots which grow through the kitchen toweling.

@@KeepOnGrowin her recipes are really good. Im trying to sprout soybeans right now but the quality isn't very good. I might just cook with them instead and maybe grow a few plants to get beans from next year. Ive had good luck growing my own microgreen seeds. Im starting to enjoy broccoli microgreens

@Maciej_Jan_Dlugosz You have no right to call me stupid just because I don't want to eat something that feels like a mouthful of hair. Eat your roots, I will grow with mine.

@Maciej_Jan_Dlugosz I understand bro, just saying I am not doing it. You do you and don't worry about everyone else. By the way, I'm Asian, lol.

Yeah if you don't crowd the jar they come out nice! I don't have the counter space for a sprouting tray...

That's called microgreens. Sprouts are grown in jar. These are 2 different things.

If I throw it in a stir fry people will say, "Good bean sprouts" . Semantics
