- Part 4 - the final part - of the living room remodel takes us to the kitchen island. It divides the kitchen and living room in our open concept house and has been in need of some attention for a while now. In this video I'll take you all the way back to the original house (when this island used to be a wall), to the first time I built the island (a 2-tiered island with breakfast bar), and through the final design where I converted the 2-tier island down to a single level and finished it up with trim detailing and a new countertop.
Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!

Kitchen islands without overhang seating are the best, especially in kitchens that aren't super large.
It was a pleasure watching you upgrading your kitchen. You did a great job there lady.
Nice work! I recently built a mobile kitchen island in our house but built it in two separate bookshelf style parts that go back to back and bolt together, was a pretty fun project.
That’s a great way to build one
Found you online looking for plans on a mobile miter stand. You are awesome! Thanks for the videos and how to's! I will be building the mobile miter stand for sure. Thanks again! 😊
Good job!
Wow, well done!
Thank you!
@@TylynnM_, you're very welcome. I hope to become as good as you someday. I'm just starting out. I was given a 10" compound mitre saw, a skill saw, a cordless drill and impact driver for my birthday/Christmas. What other tools, etc... would you recommend to add, so I can get the job done properly? Also where did you get the brackets for your foldable mitre saw table? Thanks in advance
@@Dadofkidsx4 you can build a ton of stuff with those tools - that's a great start to your collection! I use my brad nailer and Kreg pocket hole jig all the time and would recommend picking those up at some point.
You can find a link to the brackets for the mobile miter saw stand over on the article with all the details for the build. I'll grab the link for you
