Oh my god, it is insane how much Vita stuff was on the shelves during these times. I would lose my mind if I walked into a place today with those same prices…..never again I guess!

I still need to play Senran Kagura, Touch My Katamari and the Hyperdemension games. I'll add Steins;Gate, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, Killzone Mercenary, Muramasa Rebirth, Rayman Origins and Legends, Sly Cooper series, anything from Drinkbox Studios, any Oddworld title, TxK, Kick and Fennick, Olli Olli 1 and 2, Velocity Ultra and 2X and Hotline Miami to your list of gems. Also all the music rhythm games I've played on Vita (Hatsune Miku PDf and F 2nd, Persona 4: DAN and Superbeat: Xonic) are all great as well.
+daKandiman14 The fact that you can add so many games to my list and that I agree with all of the ones that you recommended which I've played, just further confirms the Vita is a worthwhile purchase.
Not as often. My only drive to play the 3DS is Nintendo 1st Party titles, because I love Nintendo games. But the low resolution is always a huge turnoff for me. So, I want to play it more, and the one way Nintendo could entice me would be with a higher resolution display. I kind of feel like that was my whole experience with last gen. I wanted to play Nintendo Games in HD, but the Wii was way behind the PS3 and 360 in that department. It didn't stop it from selling like crazy though. That being said, I love the Wii U for all of the (finally) HD Nintendo titles. But, it didn't sell well. So Yeah. I guess that just further proves my opinion is not in the majority. :P
***** lol, yeah, I guess I went a bit far with that. But there are probably about 10-15 3DS games I've played extensively (beyond just a few hours) Mostly Pokemon and Nintendo 1st Party titles.
I agree with your video and it was a nice one man, however in regards to your fps shooter comment all I will say is this: Killzone Mercenary! It's bloody brilliant.
+Elliot Manton You know, I don't think I gave Killzone a fair chance. I remember playing it very briefly after putting some time into Borderlands 2 and being very disappointed in the frame rate of BL2. I'll definitely put some more time in to KZ. Hopefully I can give it a more accurate review when I do my Vita collection video. Thanks for the input.

+Kenneth Kim You can also use it for remote play with PS4. There are lots of new games coming out, many of them are JRPG's and indies. I would say look at the current library first, there are a lot of niche games on the system. And if you like JRPG's, there are a lot, with many more coming.

hi I got a question. If I have a hongkong PSN account and I bought a R1 US or UK physical game copies, would I still be able to play it on my vita using hongkong PSN account?
Yes. The PS Vita is region free.

As someone that collected for the psp I can understand your enthusiasm for the Vita as they both pretty much mirror each other as underrated systems in the west. I almost went with a Vita myself but I opted for the 3ds as I was itching to play some first party nintendo titles. I don't see myself getting a Vita now as the budget won't stretch for another collection and I've yet to get a Ps4 which is my priority now. Still it's tempting just so I can play uncharted golden abyss. What's your view on that game?
+Champion 2D Rob Man I forgot about Golden Abyss. Another great game, I played all the way through it a long time ago, so I forgot all about it. Most games I put down and come back to frequently. Great graphics, and makes use of some of the touch features on the Vita. In your case, I wish I could recommend the PSTV because it's been on clearance between $20-$40 lately (I use mine all of the time to capture footage through HDMI and play on a bigger screen at home). You get a fairly cheap system and can at least pick up the good cheap games to go with it. Unfortunately, Golden Abyss is one of the few games that are not compatible with PSTV.
#1 reason over choosing physical on vita is because digital downloads take a ton of space from your memory card and those aren't specially cheap.

I need the shelves you have. Did you purchase them online or in store ? All the ones I see in the stores around me have to much depth. 11.5 inches or so.

+Colin Jensen The prices on amazon fluctuate a lot, sometimes you can get a really good deal there. But the best thing to do is to check the forums at cheapassgamer.com they are always posting where the best deals are currently at since sales seem to pop up occasionally at various online retailers.

Lately I've been getting most of my Vita games online. You can get European and Japanese games since unlike the 3DS they are region-free

I just picked up a vita and Walmart, target, Best Buy and every other store I went to doesn't carry any vita stuff. GameStop keeps them in the back and has a paper to look at. Shit sucks having to order all my games

Totally agreed, basically anything on the Vita is a hidden gem. That being said, play Persona 4 Golden and Danganronpa 1+2, they are SO GOOD!!!

should i get borderlands or killzone?
Killzone plays well on the Vita. Borderlands plays better on console, but it's still nice to have on the go and there is a lot of content since a new copy comes with all of the DLC. I'd probably grab Killzone first.

Uncharted Golden Abyss, Killzone:Mercenary, Gravity Rush, Tearaway, either of the Rayman games, Lumines, Mortal Kombat, The Sly Collection, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Wipeout 2048 are all pretty good. Not sure if you consider Odin Sphere Leifthrasir a JRPG, it's a side scrolling action hack/slash RPG from Japan, but it's pretty amazing if you give it a chance.
I do games Thanks. I love the vita but Jrpgs just aren't my thing. Too slow and too much romance or cheesecake to deal with when I'm trying to stop the sun from exploding.

I hate how limited the titles are if you are not into JRPG's, none of the recent release titles interest me. I'm having a difficult time finding new games to go for, but I do love the Vita so I'm staying hopeful.
I have grabbed a couple titles that I normally wouldn't to give them a shot. So far I have found that I like the artwork and theme and can get into the game for a few hours but still ultimately get bored and move onto another game.

Jan 2017, there are almost no vita games for $10 here in so cal. Retail stores no longer even carry physical games. Even the God of War collection is going for $20 used or $40+ new. Physical vita games are becoming extinct.
Same here, GameStop and a few other used game shops have used games and of course the new stuff. But it seems the best place to buy new games is online, about 2-3 months late. A lot of games tend to get discounted by 50% months after release. Others you are best going with the prime/GCU discount right on release. It's getting hard to tell how many copies are being printed of the new stuff. I miss the days of $10 retail games. For people late to the game, several Walmart stores still have about 4-5 of the commons for $10. Games like, Lego Batman 2, Wolf Among Us, MLB 13, etc.
September 2019 games are basically extinct most commons go for more than 10$ and majority of anything good is above 25$ let’s check back in 2020

wowgek7 you can grind and explore as long as you want after a certain point in the game. I think it's July or the month of August when you unlock the ability with Rise which allows you to recover sp after each batlle. I leveled up my izanagi from lvl 50ish to lvl 93 in a single in game day
wowgek7 oh and I saved the victims in a single day too lol It's not bad trust me. give it another chance. I thought the "save the person from the TV world within x days" was intimidating and annoying but I came to find out that you can basically do everything in one day with the sp recovery ability. So no the game isn't sh*t and the time limit is not a problem
but if you dont grind because you forget or anything and youre at the boss and too low level you got fucked because then there is no wya back:P
and I have no idea what you mena with saving people lol and you might not consider it a problem but I do
in an rpg I explore everything and thats impossible with an time limited an time limit in an ropg is just breaking the whole game for me for me that looks like an boxing game without ko or an soccer ame without goalie etc
