I thought that Medjed was just a meme someone made after Among Us blew up. Now I know the truth, lol
hahaha Noo, I feel like the truth is even weirder lol (Ancient Egyptian among us when? :D)
I find it really funny and weird that Medjed became a lot more popular (again) because of Among Us memes, and pretty crazy as well.
I mean the internet discovered a ancient egyptian deity thats uncannily similar to a meme'd to death character from a video game that randomly got popular.
Medjed might be an aspect of Amun, because Amun's name means hidden. Also his eyes are sometimes depicted as the eye's of Ra and Horus, which represent the sun and the moon respectively, so he might also represent the part of the sky that is hidden from view by the earth. Ancient Egyptians believed that this part of the sky was the realm of the dead, where Osiris rules.
I just love his derpy look.
