Jim Carrey hosted the MTV music awards for a few years in a row, one year he started his speech with "would it kill you to play a little Foghat?" The following year MTV played this song as he walked out on stage and caught him completely off guard.
Definitely, I worked at Hardee’s and bought 7 concerts tickets, priced at $12. No bunch of dancers just good music. 1974 Peter Frampton with friends dad station wagon. Yeah we were cool like that 😂
There aren't many bands that people would say do the live album over the studio album but, Foghat live is a must. the energy is just that much higher. Also Frampton Comes alive by Peter Frampton give do you feel like we do a spin.
Foghat are an English rock band formed in London in 1971. The band is known for the use of electric slide guitar in its music. The band has achieved eight gold albums, one platinum and one double platinum album. David Jack Peverett (16 April 1943 - 7 February 2000), also known as Lonesome Dave, was an English singer and guitarist, best known as the original lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the band, which he co-founded following his tenure in Savoy Brown."Foghat" (a nonsense word from a Scrabble-like game played by Peverett and his brother) in January 1971. Foghat was born of the blues band Savoy Brown. Mr. Peverett, the drummer Roger Earl and the bassist Tony Stevens quit that band and decided to form their own group in 1970. Rod Price became its lead guitarist. They have produced 17 albums from 1972 - 2023
You just added another Classic Rock Band from the best era in music history. I suggested this band 6 months ago. Glad you got another request for them. They have a excellent list of great tunes like "Fool For The City"
Mid 70's and 16 years old. Every Saturday afternoon in the summer we were in the park, our cars were parked for miles and music like this blasting. No phones, no internet, just cool cars, beautiful girls, and the whole night ahead of us!
Saw Foghat several times throughout the seventies. They had one of the best album covers. It was for the album known as Rock & Roll and the cover simply had the images of a rock and a dinner roll.
Wonderful reaction. The lead singer lonesome Dave died from cancer when he was relatively young. Such a great loss. The drummer now lives in long Island and received an award from the long Island rock hall of fame. ❤
These were the days of $8 concert tickets and there was a great concert every weekend. Wow it was a wonderful time to be young. Great decade for music.
Caught Foghat one time, as an opener for Aerosmith at A-smith's "reunion" show at the Manning Bowl in Lynn, Mass. in 1985. It was the first show after Joe Perry and Brad Whitford had rejoined the band after quite a few years. Foghat was billed as The Kneetremblers, because Lonesome Dave Peverett was not with them for some reason. But is was all Foghat all the time during the show. I think they even got an encore. "Slow Ride", "Fool For The City", "I Just Want To Make Love To You", etc.. A great opener for Aerosmith.
Eight Days on the Road and Chateau LaFitte '59 Boogie...just sayin' that you NEED to hear these tunes, along with the rest of Foghat's rabbit hole... Excellent tune, excellent reaction!
My ultimate favorite song! The first song I learned on guitar and bass. I play bass mostly. I just love the groovy bassy feeling. I first heard this in gym class in middle school and fell in love. ❤️🎸🎼🤟🏻🎤
I get a major kick out of watching your facial reactions while listening maybe even more so than your excellent post-song analysis. You play the best music of any channel that I've viewed and you're really awesome at this reaction thing. It's fun to see your subscriber numbers slowly inch upward and they're only going to get better bro!
Their live version of “I Just Want To Make Love To You” is awesome. Their songs “Home In My Hand”, “Honey Hush”, “My Babe”, and “Third Time Lucky” are all great songs.
My very first concert was at the Savannah civic center and It started with Mothers Finest then Foghat and ZZ Top was the headliner. Great show all three bands were on fire. Try Baby Love by Mothers Finest,Live At Rockpalast 1978 if you want some funk in your life.
Another song that has an o overwhelming chance if you're listening to it while driving will end up getting a speeding ticket. Just like "Radar Love," you just did that one recently. Didn't you?
That is so funny because I was going to suggest this one or "I Just Want to Make Love to You" by them. That's another epic song. Matter of fact, I'm going to your patreon now!
I really enjoy your videos. I just have one issue that keeps me distracted the entire time. I don't know if your camera has an auto zoom feature or if this is something in editing, but the constant zooming in and then jumping back to a normal frame rather than zooming back out, is a LOT. 😊 Maybe it's just my aging eyes, but it's almost disorienting. I would love to sit and binge your videos, but I struggle w that too much to watch them back to back. This is just intended as constructive criticism. Otherwise, I love your personality and enthusiasm for music you've never heard and you have a beautiful smile to go with it. Please just help me FOCUS! 👩🦳👀🤓😂

Great memory...thanks!!🎶🎼🎵🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
The 70's was the greatest decade for music.

It is fun watching someone hearing a song for the first time that I must have heard well over a hundred times.
Thanks for doing the full length version!!🤘

TOTALLY AGREE😊
"Fool For The City", "I Just Wanna Make Love To You", "Stone Blue" are all great songs from Foghat.
And My Babe.
Definitely 💯
Another great song choice.... Thanks
Edit: check out Foghats "Fool For the City" someday... You wont be disappointed.
This song ripped my soul away when I was 15...still trying to get it back. Slow down.
👍
RIP Rod and Lonesome Dave. Thank You!
Try "Sarah Lee" next.
I graduated the year after 1977, this song was released. It was blasting on all teenage car radios.
When I was in the Marines my neighbors brother was the bass player in Foghat. Interesting people
Your neighbors brother was the guy who played this legendary line? Whoa!

One of the most iconic songs about driving your car real slow and then taking off real fast. Yeah that
hahaha...
it's NOT about driving a car . . . . .

A song with a great “climax”.

The bass line is awesome and leads the song
Saw them 2 times. Lawton Oklahoma 1981. 2010. Wichita falls. Tx.
High school days, this song was also on the soundtrack to ’dazed and confused’; coming of age set in 1976.
This song sure does end with a climax 😳

Responsible for more speeding tickets than any other song!
Their live version of “I Just Want To Make Love To You” is awesome. Their songs “Home In My Hand”, “Honey Hush”, “My Babe”, and “Third Time Lucky” are all great songs.

I don't see how they play so fast but it's definitely a jam
now this is ol skateboard music.
Try listening to the live version 🤟🤟🤟🤟👍
Dude watch the movie “Dazed, and Confused” it’s a coming of age movie, era mid 70’s. This song is in it! You will like it, great music!
Check out Ride, Ride, Ride from the Rock and Roll album. Overlooked album and I think is their best.
One of the "dirtiest " songs without being in your face with the lyrics
You need to check out their other hot tune called Smoke on the Water
❤😊
That bassist is funky! Let's see how long it takes you to get the message. (ok, you got it)
❤
Check out Israelites by Desmond Decker and the Aces
👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
How many speeding tickets were caused by this...lol
Sounds of my High School years.
REO Speed wagon golden country
This was definitely a favorite played by strippers in that sort of bar back in the day.
👍🏻🌼💛

You really need to hit Foghat's "I Just Want to Make Love to You"
Is the background real or digital?
Green screen
Did you think that it was a song about sex before you listened to it?
1975
I need a sandwich!!!!
Find a long version of 'I Just Wanna Make Love To You'
