You showed me inside the metro in detail. I love it so much. Inside the train is wonderful, so clean !!! I can imagine how comfortable the passenger using this mode of transport. Allow me to share your channel to my students. Thanks for this great Video, Mr. Patrick. 🙏🙏🙏
@Sky Of The Universe. I work in a university in Indonesia. I like to share the video channel to my students that I think it is interesting and important to them for example respect the nature, learning the life and culture of other country from you tube instead of only learning the theory. Surely, i find your video is interesting....👍👍👍
I've been to Place d'A rmes station! I went there when I visited Old Montreal! I have been on the Montreal Metro 3 times. I went one time to Biodome de Montreal. I got on at Parc Station, went to Jean-Talon, I then went to Berri-UQAM, I then went to Pie IX, and after I left Biodome, I got back on the Metro at Viau. One time I got off at Square Victoria OACI (My favourite Metro Station), and I visited a shopping mall there.
I believe that the thick bar is for the electricity to flow into the train and the small bar is for the electricity to flow out. The cement part is where the train's wheels move. I will double check!
@@SkyOfTheUniverse oh ok thanks for that!! Also the only way i could differentiate between the mr 63s & 73s were those vents. The older mr 63 had circle vents and were used on the green & yellow lines while the mr 73 had square vents used in the orange & blue line. This was what i remembered when i was a kid taking the metro with my sister & grandma to go shopping or whatever back in the 90s.
Yes I remember the circle vents very well. Also the MR-73 has the lights beside each other in the front on each side and the MR-63 had them on top of each other. Compare the front lights (The white and red one) of the MR-63 and MR-73 you'll see what I mean 🚥 MR-63 🚦 MR-73
@@SkyOfTheUniverse Other obvious differences between the MR63 and MR73 Metro cars are: 1) The interiors of the newer, Bombardier MR73 cars are clearly numbered 78-NNN or 79-NNN (substitute actual numbers for the Ns). Check Google Images for various interior photos. 2) The end windows of the MR73 cars have a shorter, narrower slope at their bottom "sill" than the older, Canadian Vickers cars. 3) The MR73 cars have three, thick connecting cables located on either side of the emergency end-doors between cars, with the exception of the motor-man's cars on the end of trains. The MR63 cars had only two such cables on either side of the doors. 4) The original MR63 cars had transparent celluloid protectors covering the then more-varied advertising strips above the side windows. The celluloid was removed following a fire that destroyed one car. The MR73 cars have interiors that are presumably less prone to such a fire hazard. For those who may not be aware, the Exporail Museum has an MR63 car on display, although it does not contain the original grey vinyl-padded seats or vintage advertising seen in 1966.(Exporail.org).
I think it's when the operator controls the doors but the train movement between the stations is controlled by the computer. Manual mode is when the operator controls everything including the movement and speed of the train.
Je suis content que la police de Montréal réprime les mendiants dans le métro ! Les gens ne s'attendent pas à être harcelés par des étrangers pour de l'argent.

Thank you so much! You are a teacher? What country are you based? I would love for you to share my video. Yes, our metro system is beautiful
Montréal Subway is the very best way to discover the city... nice and clean! (but some station to avoid (Berri Uqam for example)

Thank you so much! That is a great approach. Your students are lucky.
Very clean. Much cleaner, and smoother than the Boston, MA metro system.

I LOVE DIS SUBWAY TOUR! 😆
Thank you! There are many more videos on my channel.
The tunnel wall between Vendome and Place Saint-Henri is due to the CP rail line above - it's a weight issue.
Oh thank you so much! That explains it.
I've always wondered what are the bars in the middle between the 2 tracks are they the 3rd rails?
