Torn between: - Cell Ruling Earth and having to deal with the eventual Resurrection of Majin Buu - Cell searching for a Challenge and running into Brolly or Moro. - Cell gets bodied by Whis and the Dragon Team having to Train like never before with complete confusion as to what happened.
I feel like there is at least one other possible storyline, kind of a mish-mash of several. I feel like he may or may not blow up Earth, that's 50/50, but he would explore other worlds. With the intent of improving himself. I feel like he would be absorbing arious alien races every time he finds they have some interesting ability, or technique, making himself stronger, and training when he doesn't find anything interesting. Quickly though, he'd find very little challenge left in the Universe, and decides to set down roots, picking an out of the way planet, and actually populating it entirely with Cell Jr.s that actually have more personality and staying power. I feel like this new "race" of Cells would be looked at by the Kai's as moderately worrisome, but I don't think they'd call Beerus out, as it IS increasing their mortal-level after all... Cell himself would continue to train, but he'd send some of his promising Cell Jr's out to other worlds to absorb any interesting techniques, or biological abilities, and when they return, he'd throw tournaments between those that return, to see which of the abilities are interesting enough that he will absorb them into himself. In short, he'd be taking over the galaxy, improving himself, AND looking for a challenge... all at once.

Either way, it COULD make an interesting time-line. And that's ASSUMINGthat these versions of Cell just go around destroying everything. Not a safe assumption. If they're only "eating" (absorbing) a few of the powerful warriors on eac planet, here and there... I don't think the Kai's would interfere. You're right that that's a possibility though! Also, when Beerus wakes up, if there are no "Saiyans" left other than Cell, that might be interesting too!

Well if he absorbed dendea he would have both forms of namekian within him and likely through denea would possess the knowledge and power to create them. A being of ever doubling power tucked away in the dark of the cosmos continually wishing his own dragon to make him stronger would be a recipe for appocolypse.
If he could have made his own Dragon Balls, then he'd never have had to time travel, as he could wish Future 17 and 18 back to life and absorb them immediately afterwards. Whether that leads to a redemption arc for them, or the complete annihilation of Earth in the future timeline is anyone's guess.
Maybe. I think Super Perfect Cell might stomp Movie 1 Broly. It took Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan to bring down Broly. All of their energy into a single punch. Movie 2 Broly is a bit stronger, sure. It took SSJGoten, SSJTrunks, SSJGoku, and SSJ2 Gohan to take down movie 2 Broly. Gohan is a bit weaker in this movie with his SSJ2 form than he was during the Cell games too. I don't even need to say anything about the DBS Broly Movie.

I mean, Broly may be a bit weaker than how he was in DBS:Broly but since his power increases due to rage, maybe Cell will notice this and will let him enrage more until he gets almost as strong as him
If Cell continuously trained with Frieza's cells and Saiyan cells, he would be golden Frieza level or maybe even more than what we have ever seen in Super.

Seriously, at this point I'm starting to believe that the only reason they never bring Cell back is because of how busted he would be. I know it was due to Akira Toriyama feeling that drawing Cell was too difficult for him, but at this point there is a large team to help him and now there's technology to make things easier.
Scenario 4 could be really interesting! As long as they don't bother him the Z-Fighters are free to go as usual. I can see Namek and Dende restoring everyone back (except for Goku who won't want to return). Due to Cell still being alive somewhere everyone would train more seriously during the time-skip in case he would return , which would lead to Gohan being either equal or a bit stronger than himself during his fight against Cell. Everything will continue as usual in the series until the universe 7 vs universe 6 tournament, in which Cell will appear instead of Monaka. Cell would be immensely strong and would be the one to defeat Hit, getting everyone pushed to train even harder, including Gohan, who instead of sometimes training like at the origina, he would train harder and would re-open his potential much sooner. This could lead to Cell-Black in the Zamasu Saga and having Gohan actually participating in that Saga, hell, maybe even Cell would participate after hearing about how Zamasu took his body.
The Original team would probably be Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Cell, 17, 18, Buu, Piccolo, Krillin and Roshi. But Buu will fall asleep and they will bring either Tien or Frieza.

@@ianr.navahuber2195 Considering after defeating Gohan and the others Cell would probably just leave I can see Mr.Satan taking advantage of the situation and claiming that he defeated Cell or at the very least made him run away. So generally, considering the main difference between this time line and the original one as of now is that everyone are training harder, I can see Gohan wanting to become a scholar just the same as before. Which would lead to Gohan and Videl getting together. Majin Vegeta would still happen because while Gohan will be stronger Vegeta will be even stronger, so Vegeta's frustration will be the same. Also, I'd write a fanfiction about this, but I am more of an idea guy.
Given how much growth Gohan went through in the 7 years pre-time skip I feel that he would be roughly at Mystic level in base if he kept training during the pre-Buu timeskip.
I believe ot would be an interesting combination of things. I think he'd start by taking over the Frieza Force and planets. Then he'd pull a Demon King and create done Cell Jrs to become the Generals. Cell would explore new planets for strong fighters to challenge, recruit, or destroy. Traveling from place to place, he'd definitely have the time to meditate. Later on, Babidi and Dabura would start hunting down Cell Jrs to take their Ki in order to summon Buu. Shin would then Team up with Cell in order to try and defeat Buu..... Idk after that
Not gonna lie, I too would of enjoyed seeing the look on cells face fighting whis. I know i know we saw this with his fight with gohan, but im just imagining the sheer hopelessness in cells face as whis fends him off effortlessly and laughs while he does it like playing with childs toy ....it be perfect

Possibility: cell absorbs all the z fighter's and the namekians, wishes for immortality(freezer genes), absorbs the Kai's, dabura and all somewhat strong fighter's he can find in the universe, gets goldenform like frieza, fights beerus, gets stronger through zenkai boosts till he's able to overpower beerus,absorbs beerus, becomes the new god, absorbs hit,jiren and all other strong guys from the 12 universe, obsorbs all the other god's and Kai's from the other universe, absorbs whis and the other angels, absorbs the grand priest, absorbs super shenlong, absorbs Zeno, becomes the new omniking All hail to the new omniking omniperfect cell!
#6 Babidi finds him and enslave him, Babidi has Cell, Dabura and Buu and proceeds to murder Shin (which removes Beerus and Whis from the picture) and perhaps in future someone from Zeno comes to invite them for ToP/check what happened to GoD of universe 7
But, Babidi isn't realized that Cell has worked against him because Cell has Vegeta's DNA so Cell isn't under Babidi control. Cell then manipulates TOP. I got that idea from Dragon Ball Multiverse comic

I think the first option with Cell taking over Earth and revolutionizing it has bit more to add in Storytelling, especially with the upcoming Buu Saga and how he prepared the Earth for these kind of threats, as well as beerus coming in and learning about this artificial life-form with Saiyan biology.
I couldn't help but think of how this topic was handled in the Dragon Ball multiverse fan manga. This fan manga tackled option three of cell destroying the planet and wandering the universe for any way to fix his boredom. Part of me is honestly surprised that this manga wasn't mentioned, it would be very interesting if Masako learned about this manga story and potentially compared it to his what if.
My preferred take: cell kills everyone, him and children play and wreck havoc in the galaxy, then one day get invited to a certain multiverse tournament by a group of bird men Anyone get it? Wink wink
That final result could technically be canon. If that happened, and the Dragon Balls effectively restored things to that point, it would be easy to assume that Gohan was suddenly able to summon enough strength to push Cell's beam back and vaporise him completely. It could be barely noticeable that he was suddenly gone.
Please expand upon the first one. Bug me going throughout the universe(s) sounds fun. We might even get cell black, have meet up with the pride troopers, there's a lot of possibilities for this one to continue while the others seem like proper endings to the story.
Scenario 2 is gonna eventually be "What if Cell met Broly?" Scenario 5 could be an interesting trigger of Shin coming earlier to Earth before Buu Shows up to start training the Saiyans. I would follow up master roshi's leasson of "there is always gonna be those stronger tha you" and that buu shows up later is just a prety big coincidence. bonus points if shin learns of future trunks. or if the galactic parol starts doing something. maybe that jaco learned earth was destroyed and then fixed would cause him to check up earth even if only o see if his friend is okay in a very tsunderish-manner
i'd feel it'd end in a mixture of 2 and 4, cells desire for a challenge causing him to turn inwards and improve on his journey, where he'd challenge himself against the galactic patrol (sans Merus so the story doesn't end too quickly) where he'd learn of Zuno and by extension the other universes that exist, then make his way to the other universes seeking challenge
Scenario 4- Cell: *Meditating* Beerus: So this is the Legendary Bug-Man? Whis: Yes my Lord. Beerus: How could anyone miss this man? He's green. Cell: *Eyes closed* Y'know, I can hear you. Beerus: Tell me, do you know about the Super Saiyan uh... Whis: God. Cell: The f***'s a Saiyan God?!
Interesting thought. Cell goes off into space, then 7 years later he senses a huge power coming from where the Earth is. he get excited. he sees a new challenge, and then decides to step up.

Small tweak, cell was Biomechanical, not just tech, he was organic. He grew, had regeneration, bled, he wasn't technically an android, but he was an engineered organism.
I feel like scenario 2 would be motivated by a curiosity for how the planet would evolve over time, as literally every string fighter in the universe hailed from Earth.
Cell going out to find stronger foes, perhaps going his own power in the process would be interesting, like what your doing with Frieza turned good, him having his own journey
What If ideas I have had: Vegito being stuck as Vegito when he fought Merged Zamasu and is unable to defuse with anything other than the Super Dragon Balls for some reason(perhaps him being of both god and mortal energy causing problems with the Potara Fusion?) Goku getting absorbed by Super Buu instead of Gohan. Future Trunks staying in the past after Cell has been defeated for some reason(perhaps Future 17 & Future 18 had already destroyed enough of the world that staying would be pointless especially since they also destroyed Capsule Corp meaning no more Future Bulma?)
I would say a mix of 2 and 4 cell peacefully leaves earth to improve himself but also seeks out strong opponents to challenge him that is until buu shows up and they have a fight that could risk destroying the entire universe.
The final theory scenario could be possible if we ignore canon. For example the reset could be something like during the beam struggle, it wasn’t Gohan who vaporized Cell, it was Wis, just standing between the beams, unbeknownst to everyone.
Honestly a mix of scenario 2 and 3, maybe a hint of 5 near the end would be intresting, cell still blows up the planet like in the frieza scenario, but he doesn't know about new namek, so he doesnt think to search for it, but doesnt care to rule the universe, he just goes out into space looking for worthy opponents to fight, as for the hint of the kai intervention, somewhere near the end of it, cell would either stumble onto new namek and stuff happens, or cell would finally seem like a threat to the kais at some point on his space quest and put an end to cell then pull a dues ex makaina and either fix the timeline or just restore earth, idk, just a concept that might work with lots of room to spin it into something awesome
I liked scenario 1 yet there would be something I would add as a side 'What if'. Because of Dr Gero's message and Cell having Freeza's DNA; Cell would had made the Earth perfect yet he would had also consider creating a utopian (perfect) Terran Empire. You could say it would be a combination of both scenarios 1 and 3 jut no destruction of Earth. Now with scenario 2; he would find his newest challenge... Beerus. I wouldn't mind seeing that scenario continue that way.
I feel it would be more a combination of 2, 3, 4, and 5. Cell would blow up Earth, and search the universe for someone who can challenge him, and get even stronger. However, he would be disappointed to find out that most of the universe is mostly empty, with the few inhabited planets he finds aren't worth his time, and are just blown up from afar. Eventually, he either finds and kills the Supreme Kai, or Beerus finds and kills him
Could take the Cell Becomes King scenario and turn that into an alternate What if Cell Turned Good story arc. After decisively dominating the Cell Games, Cell deposes the current King and assumes the throne and the people slowly start accepting him. Then the Majin buu arc happens and now Cell is the only line of defense... and we go from there...
Upon the death of of the Saiyans he picks up krillin ready to murder him and destroy the planet. Suddenly hes struck with boredom. "Ill be back, get stronger" The last words he says before flying into space in a search of the next challenge. 7 years later at the 25th world martial arts tournament. Hercule is showing his blockbuster movie "how i defeated cell and saved the earth" Cell appears in the audience applauding before approaching the stage. Most of the sayians wouldve been wished back and gohan wouldve trained harder than ever possibly reaching ssj3. He kills Mr Hercule nonchalantly with a ki blast. And the buu saga ensues
I still say Dr. Wheelo winning and stealing Goku’s body would be an awesome alternate universe. Since he’s a scientist in an extremely strong body I would love to see how he reacts to the various sagas of Dragon Ball.
Scenario 6: Cell becomes paranoid after how easily he defeated Goku, suspecting it was a ploy of some sort. He scours the earth for someone to tell him "What If" scenarios to help him plan for the feared secret plan.
I've actually found myself disliking Cell as a reaction to how much love he gets from the western fandom. But anyhow, Cell floats along until either Beerus wakes up, or he runs into Broly then he dies. Alternately he and Dabura battle and wake up Buu and then Buu kills him.
Cell should do the take over the world thing, fight Buu, and once the world is "perfect" he then goes off to meditate and train, and himself becomes something that could rival or take over for the god of destruction.
Entering into the Buu Saga in a post Cell victory world would be pretty interesting to think about. While Cell himself hasn't been seen since he defeated Gohan, the Cell Jr he left began would be a consent reminder to the every day people that he was out there. And while I would imagine most people would simply try to go about their day to day life, pretending everything was fine. The Z cast would be a different story. Vegeta would most likely spend his days throwing himself at the Cell Jr in an attempt to defeat it before fleeing back to capsule corp to lick his wounds. Mr Satan wouldn't be the great hero of Earth any more and if Gohan was spared by Cell before he left, I imagine he would be a complete mess with the knowledge of, when the time came for him to step up, he let everyone down.
Scenario 4 could be really interesting if you spice it up with bits of scenario 5. Maybe this would cause Shin to arrive early on earth to help the saiyans train in hope of one day defeating cell (and shiin's own agenda of hoping they will be ready to face off buu one day while he still researches where buu is). maybe goku will still stay a little whil in the afterlife, but if only to train harder. maybe king kai or shiin could tell them about the yadrats and spirit control. it could be an interesting arms race from the perspective of the dragon team to defeat cell, while future trunks is half preparing for the androids in his time half preparing for cell while shin sees this as "a third preparing them for cell, a third preparing them for buu, and a third preparing them for beerus". Also, Cell's personal training regime of wandering through the cosmos and eventually meeting Broly. and maybe shin learning of future trunks time travel machine.
I would love to see one of the scenarios were Cell does not blow up Earth, and the story continues with the Buu Arc starting and Cell having to face Majin Buu. There's no Hercule, so Buu would likely stay Fat Buu the entire time. Would Cell be complacent, like Gohan, while ruling earth, or continue to train, like Vegeta, and be ready to face Buu? It would be interesting to see Cell transition from villain to Earth's protector because he's the only character around to face Buu.
There's really only one. He blows up the Earth, accidentally wakes up Majin Buu, they duke it out, and it attracts the attention of Beerus and Whis. Beerus would then fight Cell and Buu, and beats them both soundly. Beerus would then use the 'Hakai' technique on Cell and Buu.
I like #1, and ithink it would be hilarious if Cell used the Dragon balls after to revive everyone else except Goku, so that they could help, they were a big boon to the planet power wise after all.
Scenario 4a: Dende knows he can't use the Dragon Balls to defeat Cell, lest he face a Cell Junior beating him, he uses the Dragon Balls to revive Goku. Goku is brought to Beerus's planet, where he trains hard with Whis (Beerus is still sleeping). Goku never reaches Super Saiyan 2 or 3, but he does manage to unlock Super Saiyan God on his own, followed by Blue. Then, they have an epic fight and Goku wins. The Dragon Balls unwind the damage.

reminds me of Dragon Ball Multiverse Cell's universe where Gohan gave up during the beam struggle and lost to Cell
That was also due to Vegeta not interfering by attacking Cell

Seriously, at this point I'm starting to believe that the only reason they never bring Cell back is because of how busted he would be. I know it was due to Akira Toriyama feeling that drawing Cell was too difficult for him, but at this point there is a large team to help him and now there's technology to make things easier.

What I thought would be a great idea, however, is if they make Cell participate in TOP instead of Freiza.
Scenario 4 could be really interesting! As long as they don't bother him the Z-Fighters are free to go as usual.
I can see Namek and Dende restoring everyone back (except for Goku who won't want to return).
Due to Cell still being alive somewhere everyone would train more seriously during the time-skip in case he would return , which would lead to Gohan being either equal or a bit stronger than himself during his fight against Cell.
Everything will continue as usual in the series until the universe 7 vs universe 6 tournament, in which Cell will appear instead of Monaka.
Cell would be immensely strong and would be the one to defeat Hit, getting everyone pushed to train even harder, including Gohan, who instead of sometimes training like at the origina, he would train harder and would re-open his potential much sooner.
This could lead to Cell-Black in the Zamasu Saga and having Gohan actually participating in that Saga, hell, maybe even Cell would participate after hearing about how Zamasu took his body.
The Original team would probably be Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Cell, 17, 18, Buu, Piccolo, Krillin and Roshi.
But Buu will fall asleep and they will bring either Tien or Frieza.

@@ianr.navahuber2195 Considering after defeating Gohan and the others Cell would probably just leave I can see Mr.Satan taking advantage of the situation and claiming that he defeated Cell or at the very least made him run away.
So generally, considering the main difference between this time line and the original one as of now is that everyone are training harder, I can see Gohan wanting to become a scholar just the same as before. Which would lead to Gohan and Videl getting together.
Majin Vegeta would still happen because while Gohan will be stronger Vegeta will be even stronger, so Vegeta's frustration will be the same.
Also, I'd write a fanfiction about this, but I am more of an idea guy.
Given how much growth Gohan went through in the 7 years pre-time skip I feel that he would be roughly at Mystic level in base if he kept training during the pre-Buu timeskip.

The thing is, with Option 3, we just have to wait until Cell runs into a certain saiyan deserted on a lone planet and gets obliterated.
I believe ot would be an interesting combination of things. I think he'd start by taking over the Frieza Force and planets. Then he'd pull a Demon King and create done Cell Jrs to become the Generals. Cell would explore new planets for strong fighters to challenge, recruit, or destroy. Traveling from place to place, he'd definitely have the time to meditate.
Later on, Babidi and Dabura would start hunting down Cell Jrs to take their Ki in order to summon Buu. Shin would then Team up with Cell in order to try and defeat Buu..... Idk after that
Not gonna lie, I too would of enjoyed seeing the look on cells face fighting whis.
I know i know we saw this with his fight with gohan, but im just imagining the sheer hopelessness in cells face as whis fends him off effortlessly and laughs while he does it like playing with childs toy

Pretty sure Vegeta would try and surpass super sayian leading to grade 2 within a couple years if not sooner.

But, Babidi isn't realized that Cell has worked against him because Cell has Vegeta's DNA so Cell isn't under Babidi control. Cell then manipulates TOP.

I think the first option with Cell taking over Earth and revolutionizing it has bit more to add in Storytelling, especially with the upcoming Buu Saga and how he prepared the Earth for these kind of threats, as well as beerus coming in and learning about this artificial life-form with Saiyan biology.

I couldn't help but think of how this topic was handled in the Dragon Ball multiverse fan manga.
This fan manga tackled option three of cell destroying the planet and wandering the universe for any way to fix his boredom.
Part of me is honestly surprised that this manga wasn't mentioned, it would be very interesting if Masako learned about this manga story and potentially compared it to his what if.
My preferred take: cell kills everyone, him and children play and wreck havoc in the galaxy, then one day get invited to a certain multiverse tournament by a group of bird men

I'd rather call seek out a challenge but I live the idea of him getting buddies by Whis aswell.
That final result could technically be canon.
If that happened, and the Dragon Balls effectively restored things to that point, it would be easy to assume that Gohan was suddenly able to summon enough strength to push Cell's beam back and vaporise him completely. It could be barely noticeable that he was suddenly gone.
Please expand upon the first one. Bug me going throughout the universe(s) sounds fun. We might even get cell black, have meet up with the pride troopers, there's a lot of possibilities for this one to continue while the others seem like proper endings to the story.
Scenario 2 is gonna eventually be "What if Cell met Broly?"
Scenario 5 could be an interesting trigger of Shin coming earlier to Earth before Buu Shows up to start training the Saiyans. I would follow up master roshi's leasson of "there is always gonna be those stronger tha you" and that buu shows up later is just a prety big coincidence.
bonus points if shin learns of future trunks. or if the galactic parol starts doing something. maybe that jaco learned earth was destroyed and then fixed would cause him to check up earth even if only o see if his friend is okay in a very tsunderish-manner

i'd feel it'd end in a mixture of 2 and 4, cells desire for a challenge causing him to turn inwards and improve on his journey, where he'd challenge himself against the galactic patrol (sans Merus so the story doesn't end too quickly) where he'd learn of Zuno and by extension the other universes that exist, then make his way to the other universes seeking challenge
For some reason, I could see scenario five mixed with another what-if, Gohan being the savior of Earth.
That's a tough choice man. All of those potential what ifs sound super entertaining...

Small tweak, cell was Biomechanical, not just tech, he was organic. He grew, had regeneration, bled, he wasn't technically an android, but he was an engineered organism.

I feel like scenario 2 would be motivated by a curiosity for how the planet would evolve over time, as literally every string fighter in the universe hailed from Earth.

Cell going out to find stronger foes, perhaps going his own power in the process would be interesting, like what your doing with Frieza turned good, him having his own journey
What If ideas I have had:
Vegito being stuck as Vegito when he fought Merged Zamasu and is unable to defuse with anything other than the Super Dragon Balls for some reason(perhaps him being of both god and mortal energy causing problems with the Potara Fusion?)
Goku getting absorbed by Super Buu instead of Gohan.
Future Trunks staying in the past after Cell has been defeated for some reason(perhaps Future 17 & Future 18 had already destroyed enough of the world that staying would be pointless especially since they also destroyed Capsule Corp meaning no more Future Bulma?)
I would like to see either the Vegeta/Goku or Piccolo situation taken to the Buu Saga. Cell relishing the challenge of fighting him would be awesome
I would say a mix of 2 and 4 cell peacefully leaves earth to improve himself but also seeks out strong opponents to challenge him that is until buu shows up and they have a fight that could risk destroying the entire universe.
The final theory scenario could be possible if we ignore canon. For example the reset could be something like during the beam struggle, it wasn’t Gohan who vaporized Cell, it was Wis, just standing between the beams, unbeknownst to everyone.
Honestly a mix of scenario 2 and 3, maybe a hint of 5 near the end would be intresting, cell still blows up the planet like in the frieza scenario, but he doesn't know about new namek, so he doesnt think to search for it, but doesnt care to rule the universe, he just goes out into space looking for worthy opponents to fight, as for the hint of the kai intervention, somewhere near the end of it, cell would either stumble onto new namek and stuff happens, or cell would finally seem like a threat to the kais at some point on his space quest and put an end to cell then pull a dues ex makaina and either fix the timeline or just restore earth, idk, just a concept that might work with lots of room to spin it into something awesome
I liked scenario 1 yet there would be something I would add as a side 'What if'. Because of Dr Gero's message and Cell having Freeza's DNA; Cell would had made the Earth perfect yet he would had also consider creating a utopian (perfect) Terran Empire. You could say it would be a combination of both scenarios 1 and 3 jut no destruction of Earth. Now with scenario 2; he would find his newest challenge... Beerus. I wouldn't mind seeing that scenario continue that way.
Dragon Ball NH is an amazing story that goes off of this question
I feel it would be more a combination of 2, 3, 4, and 5. Cell would blow up Earth, and search the universe for someone who can challenge him, and get even stronger. However, he would be disappointed to find out that most of the universe is mostly empty, with the few inhabited planets he finds aren't worth his time, and are just blown up from afar. Eventually, he either finds and kills the Supreme Kai, or Beerus finds and kills him
Could take the Cell Becomes King scenario and turn that into an alternate What if Cell Turned Good story arc. After decisively dominating the Cell Games, Cell deposes the current King and assumes the throne and the people slowly start accepting him. Then the Majin buu arc happens and now Cell is the only line of defense... and we go from there...
I like the first scenario. I think he could go that way since he is a product of the Red Ribbon Army.
I really liked the meditating idea....wonder what would happen with the Buu arc and Beerus and all that.

Upon the death of of the Saiyans he picks up krillin ready to murder him and destroy the planet. Suddenly hes struck with boredom. "Ill be back, get stronger" The last words he says before flying into space in a search of the next challenge.
7 years later at the 25th world martial arts tournament. Hercule is showing his blockbuster movie "how i defeated cell and saved the earth" Cell appears in the audience applauding before approaching the stage. Most of the sayians wouldve been wished back and gohan wouldve trained harder than ever possibly reaching ssj3. He kills Mr Hercule nonchalantly with a ki blast. And the buu saga ensues
Dr. Gero made a grave miscalculation. He didn't send any micro-tech bugs to sample the Kaioshins or the Angels's DNA. Let alone a God of Destruction.
I still say Dr. Wheelo winning and stealing Goku’s body would be an awesome alternate universe. Since he’s a scientist in an extremely strong body I would love to see how he reacts to the various sagas of Dragon Ball.
My favorite outcome would be that Cell spares Gohan and trains him because he wants a challenge. This could also set them up for Buu.
Scenario 6: Cell becomes paranoid after how easily he defeated Goku, suspecting it was a ploy of some sort. He scours the earth for someone to tell him "What If" scenarios to help him plan for the feared secret plan.
I've actually found myself disliking Cell as a reaction to how much love he gets from the western fandom.
But anyhow, Cell floats along until either Beerus wakes up, or he runs into Broly then he dies. Alternately he and Dabura battle and wake up Buu and then Buu kills him.
It's funny imagining cell just leaving a cell jr. At every place/ planet he visits like a little flag XD

Cell should do the take over the world thing, fight Buu, and once the world is "perfect" he then goes off to meditate and train, and himself becomes something that could rival or take over for the god of destruction.
Entering into the Buu Saga in a post Cell victory world would be pretty interesting to think about. While Cell himself hasn't been seen since he defeated Gohan, the Cell Jr he left began would be a consent reminder to the every day people that he was out there. And while I would imagine most people would simply try to go about their day to day life, pretending everything was fine. The Z cast would be a different story. Vegeta would most likely spend his days throwing himself at the Cell Jr in an attempt to defeat it before fleeing back to capsule corp to lick his wounds. Mr Satan wouldn't be the great hero of Earth any more and if Gohan was spared by Cell before he left, I imagine he would be a complete mess with the knowledge of, when the time came for him to step up, he let everyone down.
I think a challenge would be best out of these. Maybe he'll wonder around and find Broly on Vampa or even run into Merus sometime.
Cell and Zamasu would play a game of civilization against each other
Scenario 4 could be really interesting if you spice it up with bits of scenario 5. Maybe this would cause Shin to arrive early on earth to help the saiyans train in hope of one day defeating cell (and shiin's own agenda of hoping they will be ready to face off buu one day while he still researches where buu is).
maybe goku will still stay a little whil in the afterlife, but if only to train harder. maybe king kai or shiin could tell them about the yadrats and spirit control.
it could be an interesting arms race from the perspective of the dragon team to defeat cell, while future trunks is half preparing for the androids in his time half preparing for cell while shin sees this as "a third preparing them for cell, a third preparing them for buu, and a third preparing them for beerus".
Also, Cell's personal training regime of wandering through the cosmos and eventually meeting Broly.
and maybe shin learning of future trunks time travel machine.
I would love to see one of the scenarios were Cell does not blow up Earth, and the story continues with the Buu Arc starting and Cell having to face Majin Buu. There's no Hercule, so Buu would likely stay Fat Buu the entire time. Would Cell be complacent, like Gohan, while ruling earth, or continue to train, like Vegeta, and be ready to face Buu? It would be interesting to see Cell transition from villain to Earth's protector because he's the only character around to face Buu.

Beerus would then fight Cell and Buu, and beats them both soundly.
Beerus would then use the 'Hakai' technique on Cell and Buu.
I like #1, and ithink it would be hilarious if Cell used the Dragon balls after to revive everyone else except Goku, so that they could help, they were a big boon to the planet power wise after all.

Scenario 4a: Dende knows he can't use the Dragon Balls to defeat Cell, lest he face a Cell Junior beating him, he uses the Dragon Balls to revive Goku. Goku is brought to Beerus's planet, where he trains hard with Whis (Beerus is still sleeping). Goku never reaches Super Saiyan 2 or 3, but he does manage to unlock Super Saiyan God on his own, followed by Blue. Then, they have an epic fight and Goku wins. The Dragon Balls unwind the damage.
I like the one when cell blows up the world and buu wakes up.
