    That vette sounds AMAZING!!! My ET Street Rs will be here tomorrow for my GT500. I will be on the lookout for that vibration. Thank you for the video

      Thanks!!!! Nice!! They hook great. To Save yourself some hassle, take them to a shop experienced with installing radials and slicks. I made the mistake and took them to what was opened at the time. Paid again when my normal shop was open! They take alot of weights to balance.

    Same problem with my tires. Had them balanced 4 different times..they hook like hell but after 80 mph the car gets violent.
    They suck man.. put my nittos back on and bam,,, they aren’t as sticky but I can do a 100+ mph.
    The biggest thing about it is I hate I ordered them.. Maybe after a few good burnouts they’ll begin to level off..

      Dang.. that's sucks!! 4 times???? I balanced mine again and they do well. It took alot of weight to do it. I'm switching them to new wheels next week. We see how that goes!

    I dont think you will feel the vibration at WOT on a run, on my trans am i run weld draglites with full slicks and are not balanced because the wheels have that floppy center and cant be balanced and at the track i have no issues when racing car runs 11.17@119 car runs straight as an arrow and no drama but if i were to drive it to the track on the slicks im sure i would be annoyed

      Nice! In the 1/8th I don't notice it, but then again, I'm focused on other things. I'll have to test it at least once in the 1/4. I got up to 100 after the traps. It didn't feel any worse than 70. I was also wondering if they were causing me to scrub some mph.

    If you were to purchase new tires which tire would you go with thanks and what do you think about the mickey thompson et street radial pro 275/ 60r 15

    • @JReedsLoveofCars
      @JReedsLoveofCars  3 роки тому +1

      I would still go with the ET Street R. I took them somewhere else to get balanced and that fixed the issue. However, he had to use alot of weight to get it right. 275/60/15 is a 28"in tire. That's going to change your gearing. Keep that in mind. If you are at stock power, it's going slow you down. If you have a manual, it might not make that much of a difference. If you have a z51, GS or Z06, you'll need to do a 15" conversion (you'll need LG spindles and brakes to clear the wheel.) et street radial pro will definitely get the job done at the track. If you daily the car, you should park it during the rain. That's a recipe for disaster.

    I’m running 305/45/17 ET Street SS on my 19GT at 950whp and while they hook well, I’m strongly considering going with a street R. How’s many miles are you getting on them and also if you get caught in the rain with them, can you make it home if you drive under 45mph?

    • @JReedsLoveofCars
      @JReedsLoveofCars  2 роки тому

      I have two sets of rears wheels/tires. I only run my MT when going to the track so mine don’t have many miles on them. So far, I haven’t been caught in the rain. However, I have read alot online on the subject and the consensus is same as you mentioned - 45mph and you’ll be fine. My daily commute is 75 miles a day so there’s no way I would daily them.

      @@JReedsLoveofCars yea I keep my SS on 24/7 and they last about 6 months (roughly 5000 miles). I imagine the R would probably last 3000mi if I’m lucky!

    Hey did you ever find a solution ?? I’m having the same problem, I’m in a base running 305/45r17 on vms wheels put them on car brings up a bunch of codes like engine drag control active and steering wheel tightens up a bit I’m not sure what’s the problem and anything past 60mph feels shaky like my ass is gonna fall off too lol ANY TIPS ID APPRECIATE IT !!

      Every time I change to the drag pack, my ABS light flickers and the brakes kinda lock up. then it goes off and the car is fine. As far as the shakes... LOL. Yes.. I fixed that. It was the balancing. I took them to the place I normally go to. The guy there mounts radials, slicks, big tires.. whatever. He re-balanced and Parkinson went away. They require alot of lead. The first tire guy didn't have much (went to them in a pinch..FAIL). My normal guy, added ALOT. This matched what I read online as well. Take them somewhere else to get balanced. Call around for someone that knows how to balance radials. If yout wheels don't have much lead on them, that's a pretty good sign that balancing is your issue.

      @@JReedsLoveofCars thank you very much man , I’m going to call around and see who knows cause the place I took them too to get the wheel into tire they said they don’t balance them cause they didn’t have too but I see they didn’t know what they were doing … thanks !!! Let’s see when I get them balanced it fixes the problems on shaking next will be all those codes that pop up …

      Yes!! It was bad. Luckily, I solved the issue. They take alot of weight to balance correctly.

    I say get toyo. If you drive it on the street go Toyo r888r's They hook too. And handel like your on rails. With that out of balance situation. Sounds like a defect. I hears there awful with wheel hop too. That can damage parts!!
