    On trail 31E301 over the saddle to Green Lake over look, it is a straight out and back. You have to stay directly on the trail path although it looks the same all over it is not...fighting really hard to keep that section open and the wheel tracks off track get photographed extensively by those wishing to close the section. I'm just one of the many who work on that trail system. It's through tons of volunteer hours it stays open. We logged about 200 hours of labor in the last 3 weeks alone ;-)

    I'm not opposed to placing a flag at the top of the mountain. As with any adventure. Whether you are on foot or in a 4wd. Pack it in pack it out. I understand the placement and thoughts about the flag. IMO it should not have been left if in fact it was.

    You guys need hood vents!! Cherokee run hot all the time

    • @4WDAdventureCrew
      @4WDAdventureCrew  3 роки тому

      white one has then not big difference before and after vents even has two puller fans in hood to help it cool, but still gets hot, its the 4.0 cast iron problem and small Colling system on those jeeps

    For example. Kirkwood ski resort has a max elevation of 9600 feet. Highest ski elevation in the state.

    are you guys ever planning to do a black rock desert trip? just north of there along the or/nv border there are tons of opal mines to check out, hot springs, free showers and campgrounds too. I would love to tag along with you guys.

    How long did the trail take? It looks spectacular out past funnel lake! Can it be done as a there-and-back day trip?

    • @4WDAdventureCrew
      @4WDAdventureCrew  2 роки тому

      Yes that’s what we did in one day but getting to that area take some time to get to Sacramento it’s 300 miles away you get there you can get up to 12,000 feet and back in one day beautiful to camp there

    Coyote Flats is getting to be LA's version of Bowman lake,,,,,

    • @4WDAdventureCrew
      @4WDAdventureCrew  3 роки тому

      yes Its very popular for LA people to come that way, but we like the elevation up there and the views but hiking not so much, will have to come back there sometime later.

    I got into offroading back into 2018 with my Subaru Forester and have always wanted to hit Coyote Flats. I got a Tacoma last year and finally feel confident to hit this trail up in about 2 weeks. What's the name of the trail and the name of the mountain where you guys planted that flag? Appreciate this awesome video!

    • @4WDAdventureCrew
      @4WDAdventureCrew  Рік тому +1

      The Name of the Mountain is Hunch Back/ Coyote Ridge 37°10'21.9"N 118°31'09.0"W
      but I don't think anyone can get there till End of July or August because its 12.300Ft Elevation and with snowpack that we have in mountains it won't melt off that Fast.

    • @4WDAdventureCrew
      @4WDAdventureCrew  Рік тому +1

      Yeah it’s all above 9000ft high so it will be a while until snow melts

    Get rid of the Chrysler and get yourself a Toyota. Then you'll start enjoying the trails instead of working on your vehicle all the time!
