Desmond here. Glad you enjoyed the Granite View Loop.! The GVL is getting more difficult ( in spots) as time goes by, and was expected during the design phase. I inspected ( and repainted arrows) on the loop last week. The " New Sluice" and " UP Chuck " hillclimbs will continue to "improve"! 😉😉 I want to thank all of you that are staying on the trail and virtually no trash found! Thank you all for taking care of this new trail!
Considering how cameras do not do justice to steepness, the fact that they looked very steep in the video means some of those angles are horrendous. Great driving skills and great vehicle mods, Thanks for sharing!
The YJ in the beginning took the wrong line and that’s why things looked really scary when he almost tipped over so we threw the winch line for safety just in case because he was way too wide to do the line the rest of us took but I bet next time when we go out there, he will know how to tackle that obstacle sometimes when you’re leading the pack, you can’t judge which way you need to tackle the obstacle
Great video y'all! Been waiting for someone to post a good video on the RTF property, hoping to hit the loop on our next trip on the con. Sweet rigs, especially the cheros😉
Glad you enjoyed Granite View Loop (GVL). The route to the start is 1.1 miles and GVL is 2.2 miles. 0:58 - The route is on OnX and CartoTracks. More info on RTF Website. 1:00 - Leaving FOTR Group Area 1:59 - This is the COUNTERCLOCKWISE/CLOCKWISE decision point. Counter is harder! 2:06 - The yellow arrows are to provide assistance to stay on trail. An 8 yr old, Logan shuttled those arrows all day from rig to mount. His nickname now is Arrow Guy. 3:07 - That obstacle is called the Wedge 11:58 - This obstacle is called Up Chuck. It is extremely difficult. (Nice job Vas on 37s) 24:15 - I don't know about the observation spot you mention. We didn't close anything. 25:03 - This section is called Stage Fright. Not hard, just looks cool. Great job!
Thank you for detailed information about the RTF loop, the lookout I’m talking about is on OnX and Gaia GPS maps show TMI camping route and it ends at Rubicon Springs overlook but we did not find where the road turns right before up chuck obstacle. That’s the overlook I was talking about in the video. Not sure if it’s closed off or it’s a still available. It was just not marked that you can go in that direction.
@@4WDAdventureCrew Oh yes!! It's still there...not closed. It's right turn before you get to Up Chuck. Early in the season, theres a water bog to cross.
If you wanna tackle big rocks, you can easily do it with the manual. You just have to be geared down low enough to deal with rocks without burning your clutch!white XJ is automatic 37 inch tires 538 gears Green XJ is manual 4:1 transfer case 513 gears 37” tires Both tackle on this kind of obstacles with no problem it’s whatever your preference is

I'm a sub from Australia... The Rubicon trail is on my bucket list...I Would love to take my XJ through them trails...
Yeah Shipping will be expensive, but hit us up if you ever make here we can take you along with us.
I go way high driver on that , way more driver than the first rig went. On the one gnarly climb on the property.

@RubiconTrailFoundation oh that’s why we didn’t see the tire marks well will have to come back in fall to run it again
Cool video Voss! The XJ's for the win.....🤙🏽
Great video Vas. Looks like a great time.
Great video and nice driving.. thanks for sharing.
the 2 door, LUV and Sammy are Rad rigs
killer trail, thx for posting it
Yep it’s very nice I will be back on it later on in fall
Guess I'm next, Yay!! 😛
The winch hill eroded badly over the last couple winters. it was pretty mild before.
Awesome video. Can you share the gaia file. We are coming up next month
yeah send me email i can send the GPX file

Would this add another day if you still want to go from loon to tahoma
It only took us two hours to complete the loop so you should be able to fit it into your time schedule
Did you guys did the clockwise or counterclockwise direction?
We did Counter Clock
Love the Trump Flag!
I just don't understand how those XJ's outclimbed that YJ?
YJ is 1 foot wider than XJ and the tire placement is completely different for two vehicles
I have a question, is it easyer to drive manuel or an converter automatik? I drive stick and i have not that much experience in this kind of terrain

Another great video.. except for the cult followers that got behind you 😢 glad they didn't try to deport you guys.😂
Why would anyone try to deport productive tax paying citizens who was the flag of the country they love?
What an odd thing to say.
