I love “when you run out of yarn your blanket is the right size” 24:29
My crochet goals are to finish my started projects. I made a list and it feels great when I scratch off a finished project. I do a small project in between just to keep me going.
Love the idea of your celebration wrap! My crochet goal for 2023 is to slow down while doing projects. I always seem to rush. Either a deadline to gift it to someone or just the excitement to see the FO. I want to slow down and enjoy the process more. The feel of the yarn, the growing project, the colours. Crochet should be relaxing, not rushing to finish something. I want to get back to really really enjoying a project.
Yes, to the diamond trellis tutorial! That's really gorgeous. I've made the cakes and candles, baby blanket. The crochet group ladies loved it! I've also made your drunken granny blanket. ❤️
It was me!!! CLASSY CARDI!!!!!
Ironically, I am working on my Party Cardi as I am watching this! LOL
I want to make each of my 11 grandkids a blanket, one they can keep and use into adulthood! Oh boy. Big goal!!
I like the popcorn stitch. I've been thinking of doing for my kid's birth year. My crochet goals are to start projects I bought yarn for and finish the other projects I've started and put aside.
My New Year's resolution is to not buy new yarn until I finish all my running projects. I love them all, they're not boring, they're just big works, and there's really too many of them already (I've started two blankets, for example, since I found your channel a couple of weeks ago... the Gingham was love at first sight), most of them are half-finished or quarter-finished. Sooo... according to my calculations, I will therefore buy new yarns around 2028-2030 😀
🤣🤣🤣 I can relate! When I first started crocheting years ago, I would work on one project at a time. It was something I didn't understand why people had so many projects to work on at one time. Then, after years of crocheting and working on blankets, it made sense to stop it because I was losing interest and start a new project.
I just failed that one! Just bought 16 skeins for a new project I started today.🤣
😂
Crochet goals: keep on track with my temperature blanket and make my boys a sweater for next winter.
I like the popcorns for celebration days, it stands out more.
Crochet goals for 2023: organize my craft room so my yarn is visible (in a bin right now). I’m an out of sight, out of mind gal. Start earlier on Christmas crochet gifts!
LOVE Stack In The Back. I look forward to that part all the time ❤️
Crochet goals: complete my own yarnery in our extra bedroom and making it a working guest room.
Love those colors and the stitch pattern! I crocheted a "Sky Color" blanket for the year one of my granddaughters was born. I looked at the sky every day at noon, no matter where I was. Super easy with only variations of blue, gray, and just white, and combos of those colors for cloudy, stormy, snowy, etc. days. I then marked her birthday date with a heart button and surfaced crocheted her name in the corner! I gave it to her on her first birthday! New years resolution...use my yarn before I buy more 🤣!
That sounds like a lovely idea Teri for your granddaughter.
@@deborahm4484 😁
Hi Christa. I love to see the happiness on your face and hear it in your voice when your touching/enjoy ing your projects and the yarn. I know the feeling. I do like the popcorn in your celebration blanket for your birthday. One of my favorite features is the "stack in the back" . Have a great day!
POPCORNS! Do the popcorn stitch in the rockstar yarn!
Crochet goals is to get more projects completed
Happy New Year, Crista! My goal this year is to continue working through my stash and use what I love or donate what I'm not longer in love with. I have yarn I bought for specific projects and I want to get them done! My favorite from your stack was the Speedy Granny Ruth Baby blanket. I love the texture of that blanket.
I love the baby popcorns. I would definitely keep going. If you do want to experiment further, I recommend you try the baby popcorns with the metallic yarn. I don't think the metallic yarn is really very noticeable right now since it is only one row. Thank you so much for all the work you've done to put together the directions for this very beautiful temperature blanket. I really want to try it myself, but, am having great difficulty finding the right yarn for this project. I live in a very warm climate - tropical. We have a very small amount of temperature variation. Most of the time it is limited to very warm to hot, with maybe 2-3 weeks of cool weather in January and February. I don't know how to get the color variation you've achieved. I will keep trying. I love, love, love your idea for this project.
Hi Christa ⚘️ Seeing all the blankets is taking me down memory lane 💕
I like the Speedy Granny Ruth bedspread. So pretty. I'd like to knit a shirt or sweater in 2023. I am more of a knitter than crocheter...I know, I know! Lol. I still love watching your channel.
My crochet goals are to use my stash- no yarn buying. Also, to not have so many big projects going so that I feel overwhelmed and am completing projects. I want to crochet projects that make me happy with no pressure.
What a pretty dress!!! It really brings out your pretty eyes ‼️‼️‼️‼️
The blanket is beautiful. The edging is gorgeous!!! The colors you picked out for the temperature blanket are bright and cherry. I like the rock star stitch.
Lol! I've been patiently waiting to see the v-stitch blanket up close. You sure have been hiding it!! It's so gorgeous! Hope Ice brings back the Magic bulky!
This year I want to be able too make as many hats for Christmas 23 for the homeless and needy 😊❤
My crochet goals are to learn how to make a cardigan for myself and clean up my yarn area.
My main goal is to get my ‘yarnery’ organized! It’s a hot mess for sure!
My biggest crochet goal is to sort out all my wips and abandoned projects! The hope is to do that before I start any new projects, with very few exceptions, like this year's temperature blanket and new slippers for my husband😂
I would keep the popcorn in the celebration shawl but also intermittently as I’m sure there’s not a special date every 20 rows or less. Using the silver yarn I would make a band of colour so you can see i better. All the blankets are gorgeous. I think using Flutterby bulky or stitch bird could substitute for the bulky yarn you want.
My new year's resolution is to spend more of my time crocheting because I love it so much. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I just love your temperature blanket 😊🧶
I always make things for everyone, so this year I want to make a sweater for myself. I also just got the pictures of a baby that a close couple friends of my wife and I as I was watching this video, so I will be making all of the baby items!!!!
I have 2 log cabin crochet afghans I'm working on and my coronna-covid blanket. They have been on my hooks for awhile and I'm still loving them ❤️🤣 You make gorgeous afghans!! I love your channel and the bonus channel!! 😁😁
Cakes and candles is my go to for baby blankets! I love just going until I run out of yarn,
Your temperature blanket is so pretty!! I love all your blankets…🥰
My crochet goals of the year are to work on my 2023 temp blanket as well as finish the entire Sophie’s Universe blanket I started (10 rounds done) in 2019. I also want to make at least 1 other project, wearable or blanket each month.
OH MY GOODNESS.... love your sweetness about the baby blanket getting cut. Perhaps using some fabric glue on the tips of the yarn prior to repair would be helpful in keeping it a strong connection? 😊
My goal for 2023 is to get all my old wips done and not have so many at one time and hopefully no wips at the end of the year this year.
I want to become comfortable with crochet charts and learn lots of new stitches. For makes I want to finish my Christmas throw by Christmas, LOL, and work on motifs and tiles.
Woo Hoo! Christa! New square coming out! Have decided on my color for the flower this week!
Wow! What a beautiful granny square!
Crochet goals- trying new stitches!!! Love all your colors for your temp blanket.
My goal this year is to take on some more challenging projects that push me to learn more. And to make Frankly Circles as soon as you release it. (hint hint) 😉😁😊
I would keep going because, like all creative projects, the end result may be better than you imagine and you won't know until you finish it at least one time
hiya christa! congrats to GIGI! great color choices for the temp blanket. i think no popcorn. QOTW: goals? to get my studio together after a long, injured yr and not being able to do it. wooohooo for stack in the back.
I'd keep going on the Celebration Shawl.
Keep going with your shawl and popcorns. So cute!
Thank you, Jean Crowder! 🌈🌼🌸
my goal is to make something fun and gorgious...crochet related ofcourse...
My goals for 2023 is to retire and make a craft room up. I have sooooooo much yarn I don’t even know what I have in that corner 😂 I ended buying yarn I already had 😂then I will sell some yarn I won’t use and make some charity items ❤️ retire , make a craft room and crochet 👍🏻❤️🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🙏🙏
I want to clean up my yarnery and finish 3 afghans. I don't love doing afghans but want to try to learn to love to. Ha.
I like the popcorn, keep going!🙂
My goal is to finish my ongoing projects and to work through my stash!
I remember the party carry, I love it.
I am doing a temperature blanket for my son. From the day he was born until his first birthday. However, it goes from an antique white to greys to blues. His bedroom colors.
A great vid as usual Christa! I reckon I'd do the puff stitches for girl birthdays & the silver rock star yarn for the boy birthdays on your wrap. It's looking gorgeous! I love your Granny Ruth baby blanket without the tassles best. I've got lots of crochet goals this year... actually they're craft goals. I've decided to do 3 CALS including yours, 5 goals around crocheting for charities with 3 locally & 2 nationally & to finally get another of my designs up for sale in my Etsy store. Also, I want to knit some socks & baby jackets, get out my knitting machine that I still haven't used to make hats & scarves for charity, make some stitchmarkers to sell & do some diamond dot paintings! Phew! I'll see how I go!! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
I want to make a temperature blanket and a scarf and shawl for my Cousin. I want to make myself a shawl. I'd like to make some Christmas gifts.
Crochet goals; finish my wips and any UFO'S either finish them or rip it rip it rip it.
Hi
I used popcorn stitches for my children's/family's birthdays and V stitch for the grandchildren. Anniversies also got a look in with treble stitch. It could go on and on, but l had to stop somewhere. Kids love working out which row belongs to whom. I also used the same colour not related to the temperature to mark the end of the month. Yes, it's a big blanket, but it fits a king-sized bed perfect.
Beth
omg that diamond blanket is beautiful yess please do another tutoriua
I've just discovered you!!! How fun your ideas are... never heard of a "temperature blanket/scarf" .. will put that on my list of future ideas... this past Christmas I made everyone a Slouch Beanie in lieu of a the traditional Christmas Stocking. My youngest grandchild is 15... but all the adult kids got one too. It was fun and each beanie was color specific for the person. They were well received. Fun, fun!! We also had a vegetarian Christmas along with some Gluten Free dishes. Yes, I'm on the opposite side of the globe from you, but I'm looking forward to popping in on more visits with you.... God Bless
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the two giant balls covered in granny squares, can youbtell me a little more about them?
I’d love a tutorial for the burned arm blanket!😂 That border is fabulous.❤
Good morning Christa
I want to make some Tunisian hand towels for our bathrooms.
My goal is to use up my scrap yarn and make more wearables
My goal for this year is to actually have holiday blankets done before the actually holiday. Lol Finish my 4th of July Blanket, and Christmas Blanket. Also to finish the cardigan I’m making my friend this weekend. Where I live it rains a lot so it’s very easy to feel lazy and procrastinate here.
Love the diamond trellis blanket. Yes, please do a tutorial for it.
You asked if we liked the puffs or the silver for birthdays? I guess it depends if you are doing all the birthdays as special days, the puffs will definitely show up as that something special. If you want it to look more uniform, then use the silver as birthdays. I've never made a temperature blanket. I've started all the planning and even had the yarn ready, and I started writing all the temperatures for the year. For some reason, just never started it.
I think that I would make the shawl without the popcorn stitch, as it would have more uniformity, but the colours you are using are pretty.
Hi Christa. My crochet goal this year is to complete projects from my enormous stash. Also to make a sweater
I want to get more projects finished 😊 it will help my wip pile and work through my stash lol we will see no pressure
I want to finish my husbands blanket. It’s 2 years old and very huge. I had to wait for yarn and lost my mojo and when I get it back it gets too hot in summer to have it on my lap. THIS YEAR!!!
Your temperature blanket colors are so pretty!
My crochet goals for 2023 are to drastically reduce my stash, buy only the yarn I need for a project I’m currently working on and finish my WIP’s, which are large and small and number in double digits. 😵💫😩🥴
For 2023 I hope to make that Team Spirit Wrap! I've picked my yarn and colors for my temperature blanket using Herrschner's worsted 8 with 2 shades of purple, followed by 2 shades of blue, then 2 of green, up to daffodil, raspberry, a shade called longinberry ending with blaze. I've used the moss stitch before but it usually comes out weird on one end lol so I've decided on the Suzette stitch.
I am not doing a temperature blanket but love listening to you.
Oh thank you so much, Brenda McChristy! 🌺🌻🌸
Hi Miss Krista! My crochet gooals for this year is to get my stash and fo's organized once and for all
Popcorn stands out more for birthdays etc
I will be crocheting a temperature blanket in New York
Yes, please on doing a tutorial for the Diamond Trellis blanket.
I haven’t started yet, still picking colours 😆
Fishing my husband's blanket I've been working on
Sounds fabulous, 😘rednecksu#RHEC🎶! Thanks! 🌺🌷🌸
My goal this year is to finish more projects than I start! Thanks for sharing your love of crochet with us.
I love the colors for your temperature blanket and celebration shawl. I like the popcorn stitches for birthdays. I plan to eventually make a temperature blanket.
I guess I'm the odd ball, I redid my craft room and reorganized everything. I did the Marie condo style, put everything on the floor and go through it. Was a lot of work and I'm still not finished. I have another week or more before I'm finished.
In 2023 I want to crochet Lacey stitches with superfine yarn. Ophelia Poltava has some lovely lacey patterns. Like you my workroom needs a big sort out.
My crochet goals are to work on my temperature blanket a little everyday and not get behind.
I want to crochet a temperature blanket and I want to make a few baby items for my new grandson due in June. Plus I want to organize Mycraft room and yarn. I want to make myself some bags.
Yes YesYes diamond trellis tutorial please! You are wonderful❤
Oh thank you so much, Michelle Cronmiller! 🌺🌻🌸
Hi Krista I would love for you to do a tutorial on the diamond blanket I absolutely love lace stitches
I love to make blankets! My new year thought is to finish the ones I've already started! But I get bored so easy and I'm impatient with myself! Just got through with 2surgeries for cancer now I have to heal! Lol Love your patterns! I've made quite a few baby blankets with them! Sincerely Janey from NC
I like the Rockstar stitch, I would go with more of what color appeals to me that day. Example group the colors tones light to dark. And then mark them one for each day of the week. That way you have a more of a variety.
Rather than the temperature but that's just me. That way you could vary the colors a little bit more I think. Either way it'll be interesting to see how this shall turns out looking forward to seeing that. Thanks for this video.
I am doing it! I am using 2 weight. Year should be 63" x 73" plus tassels. Adding a sparkle white for snow.
I want to work on my stash, wips, ufos, and kits....without buying lots of extra yarn....I have lots of ufos and a few wips. I started 16 blankets last year and finished and gifted 6 last year. I finished the other 10 this December. I will have maybe 2 leftover to sell after the others have been distributed...I hope to even finish some of your projects that I started and am thinking of a temp blanket also. Furthermore, I want to get back to filming.
My goal for 2023 is to make a wearable that is not a shawl. I like your party cardi from the stack in the back. The last 5 or 6 minutes of this video was black screen.??
Wonderful colors, tips & tutorial! I’ve been thinking on a temperature blanket; but def quite the commitment. Fun though and a real treasure when finished! ❤
Beautiful blankets.
Hi Christa! I love these videos! I want to make as many Afghan I can this year. I'm going back to school to get my bachelor's degree in Healthcare so ill crochet as much as I can. But I really want to make blankets this year.
