It's shocking to see this and think that not much more than a month, a month later, Shannon Hoon passed away. He was still on the ball, still an outstanding performer... I wonder how much he still had to give to the world of music. Such a shame.
I was wondering how much after this he passed ....huge loss imo
what a drummer!
Ive always thought that hi hat/snare shuffling kinda funky :-)
One of the best drummers I've seen. Such a talented band!!!
@Simon Hastings totally agree ☝🏻
the best art is given to us by the most tortured souls.
Absolutely correct, as an artist myself.
Sad but true,
what a hell of a talent not just Shannon but all members had..
Shannon is the voice of blind melon . The new guy doesn't cut it for me . Shannon just had that voice you cannot duplicate.
@@MeLoNHeAd00 I agree
@@conspiracionesy I have a hard time with people singing his songs that had so much meaning behind them. You could always tell his state of mind when he sang change or walk.
@@MeLoNHeAd00 Shannon was one of the kind, a true natural talent, and if I am not mistaken most of Blind Melon songs were written by himself, so I totally understand what you are saying, songs are stories and having someone else singing your stories is never going to be the same, transmitting the true feelings behind the story of the song etc, but well at least we have those amazing songs to listen to whenever we want 👌🏻✌🏻
@@conspiracionesy it is amazing!! You could feel Shannon's energy and how he was feeling in those songs. The old bass player quit for these reasons. He said it just wasn't right without Shannon.
Blind melon should have listened to the rehab Shannon was nowhere near ready to be out on the road nor did Shannon want to be .
Hoon was an incredible talent, and his band is tight!
Man that guy had DA VOICE
Top ten fav songs, ever. Shannon and the rest of the band are perfect. Literally and figuratively.
They are so cool, never gets old listening to them every day
kick ass song...kick ass band...miss that voice and music
Love and miss you Shannon. You changed my life and you're still an amazing inspiration. RIP
i dont remember the last time i saw an actual performance and not a choreographed piece of shit. these guys are awesome!
Gone at such a young age
Top ten things I wish to have been present for!!!!!!!!!! Holy fffffff badasssss
Rogers is the star with that fuzz face wah is fuck ing cool.He is a great player actually all you guys are!
Miss you man! RIP
mr hoon u really had agood voice
I almost didn't recognize him until he started to sing! he looked so different :( so heartbreaking. yet he sang better than ever
1:13 the hyper guy dancing hahah
LOL,at first I was like huh? And then I seen him busting moves in the shadows hahaha
Genius
thanks. my fav. melon song. shannon and the guys rule.
spot on-keeep the faith!
yes, Hoon had a great voice, but this band is really under appreciated, funky, bluesy, yet it still sounds fresh today...definitely a shame he chose to self-medicate rather than get help for his serious issues, his lyrics are very dark, cynical and defiant, not a good combo
JH Banks absolutely! The band is amazing. Hoon gad a great voice, but the drugs and being center stage made him burn out. He seems annoying, too. I feel Stevens, Graham and Smith push the genra of southern rock forward.
dark, cynical and defiant lyrics, huh...? gee, that's just unheard of in rock music!
Man his eyes at 3:00 are haunting. I've seen that same blackness in John Fruciante's eyes when he was on the brink of overdosing after the first RHCP departure in the early 90's. RIP Shannon, dearly missed still to this very day.
Really scary & haunting. John Fruciante was in really bad shape can't believe he pulled through. Sadly Shannon didn't.
My 2nd fav BM song.
(Was my fav till "galaxie"
What a shame so fucking good even now prefer this over radio
A sad story but my God what a performance.
Shannon was definitely high here.
Whatta Voice. Would've been epic to see if these guys formed something with Pearl Jam as Sound Garden did when they created Temple Of The Dog
Esa línea de bajo es de la PTM !
Another sad example of drug use!
Had a great voice!!
The needle & the damage done😥
god only keeps the good ones
FuRtHeR Proof that good bands provide good concerts.
🙌🏾
is that ozzy Osborne sitting in the crowd??
bummer death
Shannon Hoon meninggal tahun berapa ya Lur?
A month or so after this.
Look it up
guns still rattle
He's definitely on LSD here.
Why are you referencing drugs you know nothing about? Stop trying to be cool.
He's not on lsd.. moron
that was woodstock mane
That's a lot of heroin!
Well thanks for bringing to light your stupidity
They should have helped him. So fucking used......
This video is Heart Wrenching!!! Why the hell is Shannon even performing!!! He looks like he's dying right before our eyes!!! They used him up to the end $$$$ He should have been in a hospital ( Too late for Rehab) He should have had more support from his INNER CIRCLE!!! I know he put them thru hell with his Addiction!! Personally I don't think this video should be even showed Shannon is Gone!!! Look at his eyes so sad he looks near death!! Amazing he can sing so well for the shape he's in!! I think it's A Disgrace and disrespectful to Shannon for this video to be viewed!! Shit it!!! SHANNON LOVE YOU!!!
You sound like a fuckin idiot, I’m sure you are
