“Together, this is a good band.” Understatement of the year Rick. It’s 2022 now and you guys are one of if not the best bands ever!

I grew-up 45-miles from Rockford and have a similar Midwestern twang to Rick on certain words. I’ve lived out-west for quite a while and my friends laugh when I say “caaalage” instead of “college” etc. 😂 Jerks

It's 19 miles from Beloit to Rockford...and Rockford is where Robin spent his childhood.

I was at their show in Vancouver. They brought Motley Crue on stage and played AC/DC's Highway to Hell at the end of the show

Used to stay up till 1 a.m. back in those days to watch Good Rockin' Tonight with Rachel. For some reason, that Canadian show was alot better than what MTV was doing then. We loved it, and really enjoyed it. Good times...and I miss it.

This interview is diffrent from the ones in the late 70s. They seem more humble and are joking less. They were probably having a lull in their career. Cheap Trick for all intensive purposes should have been a huge band. Rick Nielson has written some amazing melodic power pop songs reminiscent of The Beatles and The Who. Robin Zander is one of the best vocalist in rock music and their look is what so attracted me to them.

Love Cheap Trick, always different but maintain a good chemistry! The members, Rick, Robin, Tom and Bun E. are all great guys. Too bad Bun E. isn't still with them... Daxx is great too! They put on a great show all the time!

First time I ever heard #CheapTrick was on MTV in 1985 with Tonight It's You from the Standing on the Edge album which still 'effin smokes no matter what anyone else says. From that point on, I was hooked!
I did write you guys after The Doctor came out about "too much synthesizers or keyboards" and I have no idea if you ever even read that garbage but you did knock back the keyboards until The Latest.
Yeah, a lot of people only know #CT from hit songs like The Flame or I Want You To Want Me or Surrender but there's a whole catalog of awesome songs including a ton of stuff that never seemed to get any radio time.
Whenever I play some #TrickTunes to anyone, from people that are in their 50's all the way to teenagers, they like what they hear. Except for the Lawrence Welk crowd but, let's face it, they're pretty much dead anyway.
Some people are surprised that #Trick is still rocking along when I tell them they need to check out the Bang, Zoom, Crazy and We're All Alright albums. Even I was surprised to see the Christmas album, and yeah, it's a little weird to not see Bun E. on the drum kit but it seems like Daxx has breathed a bit of fresh air into the best fucking rock band ever!
Thanks for the years and the tunes!

Without a doubt. The constant sniffing, wiping, leg bouncing, sweating, and finger twitching...which I think Robin is actually pissed/annoyed by. The look on his face when Rick interrupts him during the Astro Dome question seems to say as much. There's another clip on YT that's a news segment from 1985 and it's even more obvious.
