Wow, just what I needed right now! Thank you! And what if you wanted that comment box to have lines for printable if you're dealing with old people who have shaky handwriting 😣🙄 Can it be both? ...
Thank you so much for your information. You are great. I've created term report forms for students which will be used by the teachers at my school. The teachers like to paste reward stickers on their students' reports. Is there a method i can use to get the teachers to do this without me allowing them to put the form in unprotected mode?
Hi Angela! Thank you for your kind words! Here is a video that might help you out. This shows how you can create sections around a part of your document that can stay unprotected while the other parts of the document that have form fields can be "restricted" to filling in forms. I hope this helps you out: ua-cam.com/video/Xsh6Tk6xJB8/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your simplified video.. how in word forms to put a yes/no boxes without allowing the user to check both boxes like in pdf forms by renaming the boxes the same name?
Hello Sharon, thank you so much for all your great videos! I made a form that has an expandable text fields, and it creates a blank page, is there any way that it automatically deletes the blank page? Thanks!
Hi Mabel! Thanks so much for watching my videos! I would suggest adjusting your margins on your page layout to allow for more space. Also, if your are using legacy tools you can consider limiting the number of characters in your fields (if that is appropriate for your form). You can also make the font a bit smaller on your form. These are a few things to try to prevent the form from creating a new page. I hope this helps! Thanks again for watching!
I have created my form, but my boxes all show "Click or tap to enter text" --- how can I get rid of this when I go to print Form field shading isn't working
Another really great video, thank-you so much!!! I'm trying to create a fillable form using one big table where each row as a different number of columns and different column widths. I tried making separate tables for each row, but can't seem to slide them together neatly. Because I have a lot of material to get onto one page, I can't put spaces between each of the rows, so I either need to be able to slide all the tables together, or I need to vary the column numbers on each row by by merging or splitting, and vary the width by highlighting two cells at a time and sliding the boundary line. I've been making this work, but I run into trouble tabbing through and in setting cell boundaries. I dont' know if I've written this so it makes sense, but I'm hoping you'll understand what I'm trying to say. Can you send me in any particular direction?
I found the video helpful, however I have a challenge for which I seek your help. When I use the plain text content control or dropdown option box and date picker, the placeholder text or 'click to enter tex't is visible when the form is printed. Can you guide me on how to remove that please @Sharon Smith. Thank you.
Great video. It's helping me a lot. But, one question: why do you pick only legacy buttons? Why not the newer ones? Can't we edit them like the legacies ones? Thanks.
Hi Isaac! Great question! Here is a video I did on Content Control form fields (the newer available fields in Word): ua-cam.com/video/n_Ni_fj-158/v-deo.html I tend to use Legacy Tool form fields as I find they are more versatile (you can use them to create calculating form fields, limit the number of characters in a response, etc.) and also I have found them easier to format for user input than content control form fields. Hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching my videos!
Hi Sharon! I really enjoy your videos and I've learned allot! I'm having an issue though. I made the third page of my document a different size and now when I print I get multiple warnings. Do you know if there is any fix for that?
I've done the bit at the end where you remove the shading, but when I reopen the form or go to print preview, they come back. I've used the text field under legacy forms
Hi Jenn! I have a video with one way you can make form fields mandatory: ua-cam.com/video/LEbggloba8A/v-deo.html Hope this helps! Thanks for watching my videos!
Hello, I have a question for drop down box. When I printed it shows up as the first options and not the 3 options. How can I print this in a clean version
I am looking for the opposite: I have table create with a text field in it, but I would like it to jump to the next sentence at the end of the table cell. Is this possible also?
When I save the fillable form, I am unable to fill it in Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Is there a certain way to save the file? Or I can only fill it in with word?
