Thank you for your kind words, Mia! Thanks so much for watching my videos!
I love that you speak in a calm, normal voice during this instruction. Other videos feel like they are yelling at me with fake energy and enthusiasm.
Thank you so much, Marie! I appreciate that feedback and it is a great compliment. I'm so glad you found my videos helpful. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video. I was looking for something more complex than using the form button in the tabs at top, but less complex than VBA. Your video demonstrates the usage of many different component of Excel. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks Shawn! I'm glad you found this helpful. Thanks for watching my videos!

Sharon, this is great! I was trying to create a fax template to pull up existing data of contacts and you are the answer! Appreciate your educational videos! :D
that's a cool document to have.
This video was so clear and well done, and I'm excited about the possibilities. I was wondering, however, how a user would submit the form and whether it's possible to compile the submissions into a spreadsheet. I see other users have asked similar questions below, but I don't see an answer.
I can't see why you couldn't compile the results into a tab on the same spreadsheet, like having a summary sheet as the top of the tab list. But I'd like to hear from more of an expert as well. I'm not one.
Your explanation is way too simple to understand!! Thanks a lot! ❤ Keep up the great work!!
Thanks so much for the nice comment! I appreciate it. Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching!

This was a great tutorial Sharon, thank you. Speed of instruction and clarity was spot on.
I’m so glad to hear it! Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your valuable contribution. The drawback of this form-like worksheet is that the user is free to move the cursor anywhere, and even protecting it doesn't entirely prevent mischief.
Thanks for subscribing to my Channel, Mike! Glad you found it helpful!
your instructions were very easy to understand. As a result, i completed an evaluation form. Thanks.
Glad to help! Thanks for watching!
Exactly what I needed today!
Hi Willa! So glad you found this video helpful. Be sure to check out the video I posted today: ua-cam.com/video/oHxzDnCQlx4/v-deo.html it builds on this and shows you how to set up a drop-down list in Excel that allows users to make multiple selections. Thanks for leaving a comment!
Thank you for an amazing, video. It was amazing, well-presented and informative!
Thank you Chaya! I'm so glad you found my videos helpful. Thanks so much for watching!
Great form building tutorial. But, how do you aggregate the data? If it is a survey, reports will need to be created from what is collected.
That was crystal clear.
Thanks a lot. I really enjoyed it and I did put it to practice.
That is great news! So glad you found this video helpful. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Sharon. it was very helpful. Appreciate your insight and patience. You are a very good teacher

@@sayanamsler2884 Hi, nothing has been misunderstood. This was such a helpful video. My point was that I have sat through many long and tedious tutorials that went around in circles and made everything somewhat confusing. Sharons video was lots of quick great tips that have really helped. I issued a project form yesterday because of this! Fantastic :)
Great! Thank you! I am new to building forms using Excel.
QUESTION 1: If you send out this form to several staff to fill out, once you get them back, how do you collect all their individual answers (from several employees) into a single Excel sheet database?
QUESTION 2: Is there a way to automatically feed a spreadsheet with the data from each employee form done?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Did you get a response to this? this is what I am trying to learn now :) your help will be truly appreciated.
I am so glad that I subscribed your channel .bcz I learnt a lot off tricks from your channel in Microsoft word.once again thank u so much Sharon.

Hello Olaleye! Thank you for your kind words! If you need to create an online form, you may want to consider using Google Forms. I have a video on this if you are interested: ua-cam.com/video/VBFOOC8enVI/v-deo.html Thank you for watching my videos!

Learnt a lot there. I've encountered situations where this information could be very helpful. Esp designing such docs/workbooks for my clients who may need them for research work in the field. Working in a cyber in Kenya, this will definitely help my work.
Hi Dennis! So glad to hear you found my videos helpful! Thanks so much for watching!
@Sharon, this is fantastic. I do have a question though. I created a form using Microsoft Forms, I love the branching capability. However, I don't like a lot of the issues with compiling results and my process after receiving them. Is there a way to have multiple lines populate based on the drop down answer? So if the drop down is A, B, or C and they choose "C", can 3 different Yes/No or Text answer questions populate?
Your video was awesome. Thank you for that information. Now I can apply what I've learned at my job. Thanks again.
That is great to hear, Angel! I'm so glad you found my videos helpful. Thanks for watching!
This is very helpful - thank you. I would have used a radio button instead of a checkbox however, to avoid multiple selections.
Great tip, Sherry! Yes, if you want to avoid users selecting more than one checkbox, then radio buttons are the way to go. Thanks for watching!
You and your channel taught me something; keep up the good job.
Thank you, Eissa! Thanks for watching my Channel!

Sharon, the information and presentation are Amazing! I started into a project and you answered MANY of my questions in this one video, and it just happened to be the first source I found. I do have a question on how to disseminate the form to at team an then retrieve the form ideally via submit button that sends form/file to admin with time stamp). Is this possible utilizing a Microsoft 360 account? It would be great to give users unlimited access to the blank forms, then once its submitted have the finished form locked, but accessible to the user and the administrator.

Thank you for ALL your videos, they have helped me so much. I have gone through all your tutorials for word but I do need to know how to make a auto fillable cell in excel, where the more you write in the cell or cells it auto expands. Is this possible and how?
very clear helpful Sharon you simplify excel .....thank you !
You are very welcome! Thanks so much for your kind words and glad you found my videos helpful. Thanks for watching!
Hi Sharon - great job! Is there a way to link the answers from the created form, so they autopopulate in a table format in another sheet or workbook?
I don't think it's possible without using VBA
@@michel.7048 can we do the same with VBA?
Using VBA in Microsoft forms response sheet is not possible, coz response report is an excel online platform.
You should have a million subscribers. Thanks, for your channel.

Good video. Once the form has been completed and submitted, is there a way to download or collect the results automatically so that you don't have to manually update a spreadsheet.
I really liked the "very hidden" part! I tried to unhide it and I couldn't. I didn't have a project property window open. After I opened that it was all good. Thanks for the tutorial !
Hi Alan, so glad you found this helpful! Thanks for watching my videos!

Thank you for this! Exactly what I’ve been looking for. Can this excel form be made into FORMS and be accessed on my iPhone? I can’t bring computers into my meetings, but would like to collect data on my iPhone while I’m in a meeting.
Very helpful, thank you!
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching!
"Shawn Spencer - Communications" LOL! Love all the Psych callbacks. You didn't give poor Lassie a title. :D
I was looking for a form to input data into a spreadsheet for later data analysis. In the case of your employee engagement survey, you'd want to record the responses. For my needs, I want to build a db for my beehives. Inspection date, queen present Y/N, Honey yield, that sort of thing. Something that can easily be manipulated with a tablet out in the apiary.
Mam I really appreciate you.
Very clearly explain and thanks you so much for sharing your great knowledge about excel.

I enjoyed your tutorial! I followed along and was able to complete the project, it looked just as yours did! Your instructions were clear and understandable, your pace was unhurried and easy to keep up with. As an educator in Special Needs Education for 40 years, I know how important those qualities can be in teaching those who may not be as well versed in working with computers and software programs. I've seen quite a few tutorials on You Tube, some of them are very good, like yours, and others are, for me at least, hard to follow. The host either speaks too fast, or moves through steps too quickly with little explanation of what he/she is doing and why. Some of them know their subject so well that they forget that the person viewing their tutorial may not be as knowledgable. True, they can stop and repeats parts they miss or need help with, but I' for one, don't want to have to constantly go forth and back. After viewing this video, I'm encourage to viewm others by you! Great Job, Sharon!!
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words! I'm so glad you found my videos helpful. I strive to produce videos that will help everyone. I really appreciate you watching, and it is great to hear this feedback. I wish you the best of luck!

Watching your video, has given me an 💡 idea.
How would this form be created and provide individual totals, # of days between two dates.
It never occurred to me i could even do this until i saw your video.
I hope to hear from you!
I didn't know Tina Fey knew Excel so well!
😄 I’ll take that as a compliment. Thanks for watching!!
Fascinating! 4 questions 1. Does the form have to be saved in a particular format? 2. Do respondents have to have Excel software? 3. Do I attach the form as a traditional email attachment? 4. How do I access the information? A simple example, let's say I'm offering a limited number of free tickets to an event. I need the names of those wishing to attend and how many tickets they want.
Instablaster.
