That warms my heart. Being a long-time Suzuki owner/fan, having owned a '83 GS1100ES, an '86 GSX-R 1100, and a '01 GSXR1000 (all bought new and ridden for at least 50,000mi each the '01 I put 79,000 trouble-free miles on!). Each one of those was ground-breaking, especially the '86 and '01. If I ever won the lottery I swore I'd buy excellent examples of all my old bikes, so, seeing this bike ripping around just makes me smile. Honestly, if I DID win the lottery, I'd probably buy 2 '86's and 2 '01's, and set one of each up to do "period-correct" (per whatever rules) endurance racing. I have fond memories of all the 24-hr WERA West races I saw at Willow Springs in the '80's to early '90's. Sprint racing doesn't really appeal to me (I'm not fast enough, especially at 59 now), but I think I'd be good at endurance racing because I'm fast enough and really easy on the bikes. Owing/running/riding for a competitive team would be a blast! Excellent vid, as always, keep up the good work, and ride safe!
Love the k1!! It was my era, always reminds me of David Jeffries dominating the 2002 tt on one! Great days. Also when litre bikes had some low down grunt! And sweet fueling
I’ve got a K1 I restored to standard in the lockdowns mainly using parts from the Suzuki Vintage Parts program which is great. I’m seriously thinking about getting another to build a rep of this bike it looks fantastic.
That's the very first bike I saw onboard footage of on the internet. I remember downloading an .avi file of someone in the US flooring it down a long straight and there was a cop passing him in the opposite direction. No chase or anything like that, just a beautiful day out stretching the legs of a K1 gixxer.
That has to be the sexiest GSXR on the planet ! Team Classic Suzuki UK is off the charts with this build. I think my 86 and 04 GSXR might have to end up with this body work colour scheme. Bellissimo
Ive got the Black and Silver K1, just runs and has such usable controllable power and very low maint. The things that have been replaced are the fluid res on the antifreeze and rear brake due to oxidation, she still looks very modern and correct me if im wrong here but its as light as any modern 1000cc ride.
Nathan built/owned a pretty trick Rgv 250/500 years ago it had some of schwantz kit parts on it, ask him about it next time you see him, this was mid late 90s down in worthing 👍🏼
Will you guys be testing the new zx4rr on release? I'd be really keen to hear your thoughts, especially compared to the r7 and rc390 for a first bike from 125. For someone keen to get on track and take it seriously, while still enjoying a few jaunts on t'road!
Thats because its not an SRAD.....its one of the K series bikes which changed in 2001 onwards. I have the last of the SRAD's which was 2000 if my memory serves me correct.

why are holes inside the break disc's ? ...look so close to superleggera 😅 can you make a copy , beside suzuki 125cc with jhs experts with more jokes , please 🤧 (um you my idol again 😊)

Such a fantastic build I’ve got a lot of love for Suzuki after spending a long time rebuilding a MK1 bandit that hadn’t been started for 9 years.

I have to say Hicky reminds me of him, in the way he seems to find it so effortless
@thestranger5182best big rider I’ve ever seen not many can ride that well with all that weight and size

Also cant wait in 5 years to see a 200hp 150KG K6 obliterate the completion
A K5 will do it in 4 years, seeing as it’s the same as the K6
@@flamintasty At least the K5 can claim a WSBK championship with Corser.
The k5 has an insane dry weight at 166kg. For a production 1000 that is as light as they come, other than a v4r and possible m1000rr

Whenever 44teeth feature a gixxer it’s a good day 😂👌🏽
What a lovely bike , love all the K series !
Such a shame to see Webb throw it down the track but this era of Suzuki we'll never see again. From SRAD to K135 was incredible.
Glory days of Suzuki.
Stunning bike, it reminds me of DJ’s TAS K1/2 also…….amazing 💪🏻
Thought the same 👍
This was absolutely fascinating. Such a deep dive.
K3/4 dash is interesting. Wonder if ecu etc as well

Last missing part is to invite ghost rider to race for you guys :)
No he’s an old man
Me either! As you can see from my thumbnail
@TheInfantry98 have you not seen his latest video on K6?
🙈🙈🙈 how did the exhaust hold up in the crash?
After searching for a period exhaust for my 2002 R6 I know what its like to find gold.
Stunning rig, shame you didn’t get to race it in anger!
The exhaust is so close to matching the tail line its really bugging me 😅
I never liked the shape of the SRADs. But whatever they have done here, and I think its in the tail part of the bike, it looks *Great*.
