    I support this video 100%. I’m a vegan chef and a 7 time Nike champion I run over 4,000 miles a year and can’t lose. Food is medicine and diabetes runs in my family and my numbers are better than ever as I cook, sell and eat the healthiest meals on this planet. Plant strong! ❤

      What runs in your family is you're dinner plates! You eat what they ate. So Naturally, you all get the same diseases! You are, what you eat. I suspect you eat a lot of of cooking oil (Liquid fat)
      That is way too much saturated fat (Liquid fat) even for vegan. Stop eating Oil by the truck loads. I ate popcorn and gave myself a stroke. I was eating avocado oil like gravy, making popcorn, vegan right? The problem was I had sleep apnea causing High Blood Pressure. I went to ER three times with High blood Pressure 265/145 I was lazy and substituted Popcorn for dinner. (no salt at all, just dripping of avocado oil popcorn and seasonings). After a 18 mile bike ride and I couldn't walk after getting off bike. (stroke) now I take daily meds and it sucks. I'm stuck in the medical system. Still Vegan though. Had I not been plant based I would have died. Cups of Olive oil (Liquid fat) can't be burned off like cord wood!!! Running 10 thousand miles a year won't fix your vegan diet if you eat liquid fat!

    I reversed type 2 diabetes, resolved asthma, eczema , and migraines with a whole food plant based diet. I am so glad that this information is getting into the mainstream. So many people are suffering needlessly…and the food is delicious when prepared well! 💚

    The key word in this podcast was from the World Health Organization. They said "MOSTLY" plant based. NOT vegan. Olive oil and healthy meats are needed like in the Blue Zones.

    I am an omnivore and I eat what I need to nourish my body and not just for pleasure. I will always eat a natural balanced diet of plants and animals, but never in excess of what my body needs. Know yourself, moderation is key. And Ultra Processed Foods are not friendly to your health and body. Always be mindful and take care of yourself, you are all you've got.

    Important note! If you cook your greens and beans and legumes, Ie. pasta, rice, etc. and put them in the fridge overnight. You will drastically decrease their glycaemic index. It will turn much of the starch into resistant starch.

      that is a great tip I have never heard this. I do usually make a few days worth of beans and rice. Wonder how it works if you leave rice out? In the orient you see rice on the counter in a pot for a couple days regularly.

    Over the last 2 years I’ve massively cut down on processed food & no longer use seed oils. I’ve increased plant diversity to benefit my microbiome but I still eat some meat, poultry, eggs, dairy & fish. I also do intermittent fasting & I’m a stone lighter so no longer overweight & take no meds age 60+. A few days ago I listened to a podcast with Dr Anthony Chaffee who is totally carnivore & never eats plants. It’s so interesting (& confusing!) hearing such opposing views on what is a healthy diet. For myself I feel I’ve found the right balance without excluding any food group, except UPF, which really isn’t food anyway!

    • @abarthspider3479
      @abarthspider3479 8 місяців тому

      Opposite views are designed to confuse and are often in support of them! The industry or the person msking $$
      Why do you need to fast? On a truky whole plant base diet, minus oils, fats, sugars... You can eat as much WFPB as you like without ill effects....

  • @ivi122
    @ivi122 Місяць тому +2

    The older I get the more confused I get about what is good healthy lifestyle when it comes to food. I personally don’t think that the answer is to eat a lot of meat, but also it is not to cut out every animal product either. I believe as long as you cut out the junk food, like cookies, cakes, ice cream, crackers, bread, pretzels, bagels, etc. and you stick to fruit vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans, and some meat it would be OK

    I've heard this info many times, but I still need reminders. Thanks for stressing whole food plant based, not simply 'vegan.' When I eat vegan but not predominantly wfpb I gain weight and have more headaches and acid reflux.

      Yes, it’s hard to be vegan and not gain weight. The only way to lose weight then is to eat just salads or cocked vegetables on vegan diet.

My husband & i don't consume milk, we've cut down on eggs too. Switching to vegan makes more sense, thx for the awesome advice 🙏🏼
