Im going with the Santa Fe! Me as a truck owner have been looking into downsizing from a 1500 to either a mid-size truck or a slightly bigger than mid-size SUV. This would be the only SUV outside of a truck that I would think about getting. Of course it boils down to pricing for me at that point which might eliminate the Santa Fe for me unfortunately
The design on the Kia is more coordinated rather than that deliberate frenzy for a new design. But I have to say that there are so many new creature on this brand new Santa Fe which really make it attractive.

Both are great designs. I would like to see the production version of the XRT Santa Fe. That being said, the Sorento has been out for a couple more years giving it a likely advantage for reliability vs a 1st year all-new vehicle.
Kia just nails the exterior design so well. I got a Telluride back in 2020 the day it was available in Washington. I love that car so much, the exterior design with how boxy it is was perfect. The Sorento is also great but a bit too small for me now. I'm liking a lot about the Sante Fe except the rear end, just so goofy looking. But they do have a lot of great interior design ideas that Kia needs to adapt, like the center console storage area, the dual wireless charging, the dual glove box area, etc. Despite the rear end, I think I'd go Sante Fe over the Sorento.
For someone who is younger ,doesn’t have a family, cares about elegant finishes , and doesn’t need too much space . Kia sorento is definitely for me ! love the boxed look of the Hyundai though
Thank you so much for this comparison video. It's great to see these sister cars next to each other. For me, Kia's advantage is the better fuel mileage (I think) and that enormous sunroof. The Santa Fe has the better and bigger interior and large rear windows for the 2nd and 3rd row seats.

In terms of exterior - 2024 Kia Sorrento In terms of interior - 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Now I'm not saying that Sorrento has a bad interior and Santa Fe has a bad exterior. But when you compare both these cars with each other, you can tell which thing is comparatively better in which car 🙏

Here in Australia, the current Santa Fe's have been coming with a full size spare wheel, so helpfully they will continue to do so for the Aussie spec ones. One of the big bonus points for the car here because of the distances to be covered. @@CarSceneKorea
The prices of the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe in USD are as follows: Sorento 1.6 Hybrid 4WD model: $36,073 to $41,776 Santa Fe 1.6 Hybrid 4WD model: $36,957 to $43,728 Due to specification enhancements, the Sorento, which unavoidably incurs a price increase, is released slightly more affordably than the Santa Fe, which went through a full change. However, the Santa Fe comes with more generous basic options starting from the lowest trim, and even as you move up to higher trims, it offers additional features compared to the Sorento in the same class.

Santa Fe precisely was designed with that in mind since Koreans are really big on golf. It was demonstrated by Hyundai that you can load golf bags horizontally without drivers.
Think Hyundai would give us a genuine product, which will have solved all those problems. I don’t see bumpers being much of a problem to install a tow hitch.
Overall , I like the Santa Fe and it's great new design 😃 and like you said , it's really practicality that wins ( for me ) , because of the roominess of the interior 👍😁😎
HEV in Wolf Gray. The wife is waiting to see if the 2024 HEV will come in wolf gray. Then it's a done deal. It's a popular color in my area. Don't understand why it's not in the Sorento HEV.
Just inked a deal on a 24 Sorento even tho del not expected in Canada for 4 months minimum. Traded in my 22 Telluride because great trade in value and wanted to down size just a little.
Great video! The Santa Fe to me looks more like a van people mover than an SUV, and its boxy design appeal wore off very quickly for me as opposed to the Sorrento's more elegant aesthetics.
The sultan of my heart, Kia Sorento. Design is always number 1. Sorentos are better quality. Santa is also very advanced. How should I say, this is a Pullman Vehicle. (luxury train car is big and long) My preference is Sorento.
EV9 is a weak entry. Range is too short. 240 miles realistically in summer and 178 miles in winter. That means if you can't charge or don't want to spend time - trips one way limited to 120 miles in summer and 89 miles in winter. Even less if you only charge to 80-90%. That's ridiculous and exactly why we are not there yet with battery tech. We are looking at something as our next 3-row after Palisade in couple years, but EV9 is no longer considered. Hopefully by that time there will be at least real 300+ mile cars. EV9 also looks ugly. Kia should have learned some tricks from Genesis.
@@danguelph2676 Thank you for your opinions. In the worst scenerio of yours; 300 km range is more than enough, as the rapid charging is going to be avaliable in more places in time. 15-20 mins of break in every 300 km is perfect. I simply don't care about the range, as it is not issue for most people anymore. Have fun with your Palisade. As a Niro EV owner, ICE is nowhere near being an option. We already said goodbye to old tech. There's no turning back. Design is subjective. No need to comment on your statement.
This comparison is very similar to the Palisade versus Telluride debate. Over here in the U.S. Kia Telluride is outselling the Palisade, primarily due to the Kia having a more appealing exterior design. I chose the Palisade because it just has a way more usable and practical interior. And it looks like this theme is continuing with the new Santa Fe and Sorento.
@rocelioussmith8266 The starting price of the two are the same, unless someone wants to say that a few hundred dollars will actually sway their vote? Additionally, the top Telluride trim (sx prestige) now costs $770 more than the top palisade trim (calligraphy). The Telluride does not give you more options for the money, it gives you less. The gear selector is personal preference, where the kia gives you a traditional shifter. Palisade gives you the push buttons that people love to hate. But the button layout of the hyundai is what allows you to have massive storage space in the center. You also get power folding 3rd row seats with the hyundai. Etc. Trust me, I've weighed all the pros n cons METICULOUSLY before choosing the palisade. I'm very confident in saying that the kia is outselling because it has a more rugged boxy design. Just my 2 cents.
Well, I can't stand Palissade's Front and rear ends ! That grill is a bit too much ! In Canada Palissade Ultimate Caligraphy has almost the same price as the mid entry level Telluride SX ! Top trim Tellurides (X-Line, X-Pro) are roughly 4 to 6k more expensive and feature a better dashboard layout (dual 12.5 screens) compared to the Pallissade's 2019 carried over one !

The prices of the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe in USD are as follows:
Sorento
1.6 Hybrid 4WD model: $36,073 to $41,776
Santa Fe
1.6 Hybrid 4WD model: $36,957 to $43,728
Due to specification enhancements, the Sorento, which unavoidably incurs a price increase, is released slightly more affordably than the Santa Fe, which went through a full change. However, the Santa Fe comes with more generous basic options starting from the lowest trim, and even as you move up to higher trims, it offers additional features compared to the Sorento in the same class.

Compared with prices in your country and also ad the tax (22%) i'm asking myself where the money will goes😢😢😢...
Star thinking to come in your country, buy the car and coming back home😂
Yet a lot of Koreans complain that it's expensive 🥲
Which car accommodate golf clubs with the third seat down? What’s the opening width between the Santa Fe and the sorento?
Santa Fe precisely was designed with that in mind since Koreans are really big on golf. It was demonstrated by Hyundai that you can load golf bags horizontally without drivers.
Is that Santa Fe in the Pebble Blue Pearl colour?
Precisely.
When would it be available in the USA?
It usually takes about half a year to reach other parts of the globe 🥲
Do you think a tow hitch will work on a new Santa Fe? Seems like the bumper is really low, maybe too low for a tow hitch?
Think Hyundai would give us a genuine product, which will have solved all those problems. I don’t see bumpers being much of a problem to install a tow hitch.
Need to go over the space/leg room between them.
Will do in the future!
All new Santa Fe but as same platform as Sorento facelift. It’s an old platform, is it because they will design a new one for Kia Sorento next gen?
Overall , I like the Santa Fe and it's great new design 😃 and like you said , it's really practicality that wins ( for me ) , because of the roominess of the interior 👍😁😎
Totally agree!
HEV in Wolf Gray. The wife is waiting to see if the 2024 HEV will come in wolf gray. Then it's a done deal. It's a popular color in my area. Don't understand why it's not in the Sorento HEV.
Can I ask if there is a new 2024 carnival yet?
Pre-production models are being test driven as we speak :)
Just inked a deal on a 24 Sorento even tho del not expected in Canada for 4 months minimum. Traded in my 22 Telluride because great trade in value and wanted to down size just a little.
If you are willing to give up a bit of size, Sorento will actually be an upgrade in many ways! Congrats!
Un gran orgullo que hallan fabricado tan hermosa camioneta para Santa Fe, Argentina,..muy agradecidos Corea. Je..je..
¡Absolutamente! La Santa Fe es una belleza. Muchas gracias a ti también 🇦🇷✨
Great video!
The Santa Fe to me looks more like a van people mover than an SUV, and its boxy design appeal wore off very quickly for me as opposed to the Sorrento's more elegant aesthetics.
Good point!
Great video!!! What are the mpg comparison?
Didn't get it on this video, but both cars do provide more mpg than what's written on the paper.
Do either of them feature a heads up display?
Both of them have HUD.
Thought so but none of the local dealers know that
Is there a way to option either one without the third row, or are they standard that way. (Mainly for the NA market.)
There is the five seater configuration without the third row. Therefore you have a much larger trunk.
The sultan of my heart, Kia Sorento. Design is always number 1. Sorentos are better quality. Santa is also very advanced. How should I say, this is a Pullman Vehicle. (luxury train car is big and long) My preference is Sorento.
I feel you :)
Great review, nice car from Hyundai KIA. Try get a camera guy.
I really wish I could afford a cam 🥲 Will get there one day, soon enough hopefully!
Is it a quiet drive or is the cabin noisy?
Not at all, it's super quiet actually.
Both of them are great SUVs but my vote clearly goes to EV9. Awesome design and it is an EV. Ticks all the boxes.
@@danguelph2676very unsual to drive more than 350 km without a 15 min break….
Speak for yourself. We bought Palisade specifically because we were surprised at how ugly Telluride looks.
@danguelph2676 Yes, he spoke for himself and not you, 🙄...
I think the Telliride sells more because of the price point, and the options you get for the price as compared to the Pallisade
SANTA FE❤
Do you know if they will give us the XRT concept?
Not exactly like the concept, but there will be the "production version" of it.
Which one has the better resale value?
That ought to depend on the market, it seems. It's quite similar here in Korea.
Saving 😂 Do you have any information when will it be available in Vietnam?
It usually takes about half a year to reach other parts of the globe 🥲
