In this Tactical Gear [REVIEW] we look at SAFARILAND 6004 Leg Holster for Glock17.
Definitely one of the best holster out there, great retention and solid build, sits tight to the leg without shaking, available both for right and left handed shooters.

I use this holster for my open carry, it's nice. People complain about open carry but people aren't looking for a fight, they're looking for victims. Ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Will it work with the Gen 5 Glock 17? In other words, will the ambidextrous slide realease on the pistol be a problem?
On Safari Lands website they have the option to select a Gen 5 Glock 17 as your holster model.

Is this a G21 holster? I was told the WE G series is a bit thisker than real steel so the G21 hlster will fit the WE G19 better

Yup, or you can get a Glock 20/21 Holster which will host WE/TM G17 G19 and G18 fine! ;-)

Hi ror, nope the WE G17 is larger than the real deal, it does get in but it's very hard to pull out after, I run the Crye GunClip with the WE G17.

I realize I'm a year late but no, the g26 doesn't fit the 6004, but it does fit the models 7385 7ts, 6005 SLS, and 7384 ALS. Go to Safarilands site and use their holster finder.

Can you disconnect the holster from the leg strap?
Yes. And switch to a safariland QLS. Same 3 allen screws
is it compatible with we g19?

Is it possible to mount it onto a belt?
It is mounted on the belt, unless you mean a belt loop, yeah just buy a mid ride mounr

This looks almost identical to a model 6280
They're the same, the 6280 is belt mounted while the 6004 has the leg platform.

There is a variant for the G19 - and since the 19X is basically a G19 with a G17 grip, I see a good chance for that it will fit.
