This is a MAJOR side effect and should not be ignored. My doctor put me on HCTZ in 2018. About 1 year later I began having Squamous Cell skin cancers about once every 6 months. I still have these cancers even though I am off of HCTZ. I have had several Mohs surgeries because of HCTZ. My advice is to refuse to take HCTZ, the side effects outweigh the benefits. Take one of the others.

Do you give more importance to Losartan than Telmisartan or Olmesartan Medoxomil ....One more question sir How much effective anti hypertensive is Losaratn? I have heard that Losartan is a short acting drug and thus can be taken twice a day while Telmisartan has longer effect for 24 hours.... Also sir please make me informed about the usage of Nifedipine Extended Release tablet in America?

As a pharmacist one of my biggest pet peeves is getting a prescription for HCTZ 25mg hs! It makes me think the doctor doesn't like the patient. LOL.
