The quality of this engineering, the tone on the guitar, his vocal performance, the hip moves, the energy of thon bassist, the twinkle in the drummers eye keep me coming back on at least a weekly basis
Kudos to the engineers for KEXP - after watching other versions of these guys playing this song this one sonically blows them away. That guitar tone in the intro....man.
It helps that this is a different drummer. I don't know why, but I like this hillbilly looking dude the most of all the drummers I have seen playing with FJM. He just gives a subtle little more swing to it.
I agree. At least on this version you can understand the words. Others the music is so loud that you can't hear the words to understand what the songs about.
This is the closest version I've found on here to how they perform it live. It's like he's going through an out-of-body sexual experience onstage. Intense.
@@ironmaven1760☆ I was just thinking, then I smelled something burning? Me! Just joking... Your a very beautiful woman if I may say so. Also, I would have never thought you would like the 'Scorpions'. I have a very funny story, and I'll tell it to you if you would like. Just let me know, right? Excellent! Love it! Thank you! Love the music, I give a great thanks to KEXP for the content they provide however, as a Seattle resident my whole life (age 35) I have to ask why so many people with KEXP stickers on their cars in Seattle drive like absolute a**hole*? How do they listen to great music and then want to be sh*tty to the human behind them on the road? Anyway love the tunes!
Listen to Latte sip and jam over n over probably over 10x… having a small rage moment- ( good or bad) this is my jam. Fuk another cancellation … Thank you Cheryl
Having just spent the last two years trying to turn the life of a long-term drug addict around who wanted to be my wife it's fair to say I feel every moment of this masterpiece.
I've watched this clip about 100 times and a tenth of those views my attention is averted from the awesome sound to dudes wacky dancing which is an altogether different kind of awesome
Great performance. God bless you Father John MIsty! Let me tell you that you made Elton John's influence alive. Does anyone knows the vintage guitar brand?
This is an example of a live-sound engineer out-doing the studio album version. Good lord, Kevin Suggs, keep doing your thing man!
KEXP has the best engineer in the biz! all their studio recordings are the bees knees!!
seriously what the fuck, suggs is great
gave me goose bumps :O kudos to him indeed.
Except the bass is way to loud........ way loud
Best 👍

as it shoud.
I'm straight, but those hip thrusts make me think unpure thoughts
You still coming back? Song rips. I'm just hearing it now
the hip moves...
I want to marry every single person in that room. This is beyond.
I can't be the only one that appreciates the shot of his keys swinging to the rhythm of the song.
came here for this comment
The rhythm guitar tone is holy grail material. Sweet non-denominational Jesus...
good ear. I think he's playin an old Guyatone
Gold foil pickups are a gift from god
God, how many times have I hit replay? I don't remember. This really IS a good latte-sippin' jam.
Right? Pretty sure I've listened to this everyday since I heard it 5 years ago...
Badger Poppy? that’s because it is ☕️🍶🫖 but I still like the screaming part

The intro gives me all kinds of serotonin kicks! :D

That guitar tone in the intro is what dreams are made of.
Joe Keenan At least for some of us :)

sheryls face was just melted, and she didn't even know how to deal with it.
this is how every rock band should strive to perform...
Still can't believe this video is 10 years old. What happened ?
I've easily watched this 500 times in the past 2 years lol
Easily one of my top five songs about fuckin' in a graveyard...
This is the closest version I've found on here to how they perform it live. It's like he's going through an out-of-body sexual experience onstage. Intense.
"Yes he's going through a out of body experience, back to his home planet, Pluto perhaps? Take Care Friends: 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ®️.
@@growingupwithfloyd2184 HAHA I'll totally agree with that assessment

So incredible. I've seen him twice. He's better live than on his albums. Hard to imagine right?
lol @ "another latte sippin' jam!" He is THE BEST!
Totally random auto play(which I never usually use) selection from UA-cam's algorithm, and I'm happy they did, cuz I love this.
Every video I watch of him,I absolutely love-funny,badass and handsome. Can't get enough and I play this song practically every day.
Greatest single KEXP song ever.
Oh wow I was not expecting that violin. What a perfect song. It makes me feel things no other song makes me feel. Beautiful and harrowing.
This is an amazing vibe in this live take.

I fell in love with Father John Misty's music in the summer of 2016 and I still feel that way 6 years later. He stirs something deep in my soul.
After months, still my favorite video on UA-cam.
