The Daytona 392 Rocks!
You can buy a Daytona with the graphics deleted from the factory. You’re also getting 20x9.5 forged wheels and 275 series tires for the 5,000 premium over a standard Scat Pack.
Neither the Daytona, nor the SRT are worth the price differences (you can add/change all that stuff for less than 1/2 the price yourself), which is why Dodge stopped making them.

I feel dodge calls scats a R/t to hurt the buyers ego and encourage them to drop that extra 12k

Good video bro!!! The SRT like you said is correct. some people flock to the SRT because of the suspension and the pages. The SRT you can custom your car to ECO, Sport, and Track. I figured, to save almost a 12,000 difference in price, I would get a tazer for $300.00 and unlock all the pages the SRT has. Good video bro!!! Hope to catch up with you soon.

My 2019 SP has all the features of a Daytona. Only thing missing is 6 piston and adaptive suspension. I’m upgrading to leather seats for $1200 from the dealer

I went from the 2017 Camaro SS to the 2019 Daytona 392 Charger. The Daytona comes with a Cold Air Intake which MOPAR states give you a little more HP (between 5 to 10 more). After driving my wife 392 Scat pack plus, I can tell the difference a little when applying the gas.
I picked up a 18 392 Daytona and along with cold air intake. The Daytona is tuned higher with a functional hood scoop. Just research it. The Daytona is above the Scat Pack.

I have a 392 Daytona and personally it’s the bang for the buck only thing your missing is the adaptive suspension and the seats are different from the srt392, buy a tazer and your good to go.
Most SRT 392s I’ve been looking at came standard with premium leather seats similar or identical to a hellcat interior wise. With kids, I need leather seats so the SRT is definitely in my sights.

If you have kids then leather is not what you want at all. Not sure you know much, but it will wear and tear a lot faster. My 2017 Scat Pack has the 6 piston Brembo calipers up front, Hellcat wheels, SRT steering wheel, 275's all around and the extras in the performance pages for suspension and so forth. I have 275/40/20 on the front and rear, but I run Firestone Firehawk Indy UHP 500 tires on the rear. It hooks well, but I am not a retard UA-camr that acts a fool at every stop sign, stop light, etc...

The Scat Pack logo was a variation on the drag-racing Super Bee found on, well, the Dodge Super Bee. SRT has SRT badges. Daytona has daytona in the grill. The daytona also has a cold air intake & matte black paint. The other two don't.
Is the MSRP price for the scatpack the base price or with other extra accessories like leather seats, beats sound system, gps, seat warmers, rooftop?
I work for FCA and SRT is just it’s own brand. Just like how it use to be DODGE RAM and now it’s just RAM.

I saw your comments about the three 392. It was good. I own a 2017 SRT CHARGER IN RED LINE RED IT IS BEAUTIFUL. I LIVE IN CENTRAL FL AND THERE IS NOTHING LIKE IT ANYWHERE. AND YES I PAID 50 grand for it but for me the extras like the top of line srt leather seats are great. If I had to do it again I would By the way they stopped making the the true SRT chargers in 2017 I hope this helped. I put about 2000 miles a year on and it is just a fun car to drive. A Daytona 392 comes with some options that you can get or comes on a hellcat that you can’t do on a scat pack at least for the 2019 models. That’s why it costs more for a Daytona 392. Pretty much you go for the Daytona 392 if you want those options. If you don’t want those particular upgrades you get the scat pack.

Mines came with a 6 piston Brembos up front and 4 pistons rear. 2 piece rotors slotted. Stock exhaust is louder than scat pack exhaust. 275 all around and most of them come with Hellcat wheels already. I like Daytona better in my opinion. I think you get more bang for your buck.

Changing your rpm and shift point’s is what makes the huge difference in speed, trust me the srt 392 stock with the right shift points leaves all scat and Daytona stock, also who doesn’t want better comfortable modes for driving yea it’s worth it 2 me

You also get the hellcat laguna leather seats with srt on them the gauge cluster font is the same as the hellcat the sp get those stick figure look numbers and figures plus srt on the dash I have a 15 SRT charger I love it 🤷🏽♂️
Thanks for the rundown man. You've just added another datapoint for me, confirming my decision on buying a used 2016 392 Scat Pack. I'm picking it up on Aug 16 (2019). Why would I care about the flat bottom steering wheel (I am only 5'6" and 200 lbs), active damping and the six piston brakes over the four piston brakes. If you're in a position where that last little bit makes a difference on the street, you're *ALREADY* screwed. Now, I am definitely going to be putting in a differential brace, they are only a couple hundred bucks. For tires, I am most likely going to be going with Nitto NT01's in 255/40/zr20 all the way around. At about $360/tire on Summit for the Nittos, that's not bad. Maybe a pair of Mickey Thompson drag radials to go on the rear for track days. If I need anything more than 275's which will fit on the 9" wheels, I can always pick up some Weld S71's in a larger size. Remember, this isn't my track car, I've already got that.
I look at this car as the modern equivalent of the 1960 Chrysler 300F, which is way out of my price range.
That approximately $12,000 difference goes a LONG way towards building my 360LA engine for my 68 Barracuda AND completely rebuilding the fifty year old suspension. Now that I'm moving the Barracuda from daily driver to occasional driver and track car, I am more willing to go with a solid flat tappet cam bigger than the 235/243 @50 and .525/546 lift, which is what I had planned for the street. If I weren't going to spend the money saved on the Barracuda over the SRT, I could get a Dynatrac Dana 60 with better gearing for lower 60' times. I'm already running a Strange S60 in the Barracuda with 4.10 gearing, and I beat on it hard.

At some point I think they simply changed the SRT badging on the scats when they came out with the big dog SRTs...because before the scat...we had the SRT8 that had the SRT badge. But then hellcats n shit came out. Idk I could be totally wrong n making shit up. Just what I noticed.

I got 2021 scatpack Challenger 392 6.4 I love it
The six piston brakes compared to the four piston brakes amounts to how much brake fade you will experience I know when I drove to Daytona with the standard for pistons coming off the highway I got brake fade when I had to push the brakes harder than I expected because there was a broke down car on the offramp half of the lane. Having to six piston brakes would’ve prevented the brake fade and would’ve stopped me sooner than me having to smash on the brakes with more force.

I have a 2017 5.7L daytona with super track pak (performance pages) timers for 0-60 0-100 1/8 mile timer 1/4 mile,G force monitors, lap timers, launch control etc. No brembo brakes and came with 245s right around put 275s in the back tho
I also have the adaptive cruise and reg cruise control heated front seats heated back seats heated steering wheel leather wrapped steering wheel also the auto high beam and labe assist. I literally got everything besides the bigger engine and brakes but it's big enough fpr hawaii

The main thing is if u get a scatpack n put aftermarket to get the same as a srt or daytona ur warranty is out the window that comes in a big play now if u keep it stock but u want better parts srt all the way but is u don’t care about warranty than scatpack and drop what ever aftermarket parts. So as I say it’s up to ur preference.

SRT models had given you performance driving day, On west coast in AZ Bondurant racing School professional drivers showing the capabilities of SRT models and you applying them. Some things to include on SRTs. Also Harmon Kardon system standard, Leguna Seca leather(options) as opposed to Nappa leather. Red seat belt(option). This was the options prior to Dodge cutting the SRT392 from the line(so this could be case for Scats now). Last but not least if it matters to the person, depreciation. SRTs hold value. But all in all you said it best, what matter to you. And remember best time to buy Nov/Dec. You can acquire 50+k Dodges well under 50k. You can’t go wrong with any of the models. Happy hunting

basics goes daytona for the unique horizontal trunk black decal + "hemi" decal in the front + written "daytona" on the seats - Scat pack - scatpack emblems all around no unique graphics on the outside, depends on what your liking, I plan on getting a used scatpack or daytona 392 2017/18 model in a couple years, both would look good in B5, scatpack Id prob add black stripes to go along with it, to me the scatpack sorta needs more on the exterior but clean with nothing works too, hope this helps

You can add the Hell Cat airbox and headlight tube for $100 bucks for "real" cold air intake. In any case, the Scat Pack and Daytona have the same HP and torque, so the CAI does nothing, performance wise.

What is difference if any I rear gear ratios ? Being long time racer as long as the 245 tire can hook up with driver mod equally on hole shot it will win straight line drag race ! Mid track thru big end is where shorter tire will pull away ! Taller tire with same gear ratio makes in real life race to seem to be a higher ratio hence less power , also more tire resistance on pavement hold car back ! Why simple things as maxing air pressure in front tires for less resistance with pick up 1/4 mile et ! Race cars run skinnys on front for reason ! Do u know answer on rear gear ratios ? Also are there and difference in weight of 3 cars ? Options like spoilers ,power seats , ground effects , other things ever subs in trunk can add weight ! 100lb rule of thumb is .10 second in 1/4 mile all things equal ! Reason 1le camaro had hard top base interior seats no power windows u can find all thru years a.c. delete for weight reduction lol ? U seem knowledgeable of these cars those are only things I see missing in comparison sir ? But great job and those answers tell all !! P.s just sold my daughter's 14 charger full factory up graded se ! Will say this I changed tires talked to friend with all packages these cars are extremely danger about hydro plane on wet pavement !! It's the nostalgia. The 6 piston make a difference. Also the interior is different plus the air intake . The new chargers all look the same. You can't tell the difference between the models any more.. The Daytona still stands out.

found a daytona 392 at carmax. They are asking $36000 and its a 2017. My WRX right now is worth 22k and I owe 8k on it. Not a bad trade but I will hold off for now
In my Challenger RT I did get the performance pages with the Track RT editions. It has the ability to change take off RPMs as well.
I have a 2021 dodge charger scatpack Daytona edition and the steering wheel says dodge not daytona
I got my Daytona 392 with the Dynamics Package and the Tech Group. Adaptive Cruise, Lane Keep, etc.. were a big deal when i made my selection. I found a lot of Scat Packs on the lot and not as many D392. I assume that the SP move faster regarding sales because i only paid 43k for my Daytona. I recommend shopping around because there are deals to be had.

Thanks. Forgot to mention the 19 speaker HK sound system. Now it’s great for mids and highs but the low levels were underwhelming.
I removed the connection to the sub in the rear deck and ran a line converter to my amp/subs. It blends very well now and I didn’t have to touch the head unit. Thankful for that since EVERYTHING lives in the main display now
I have a 2016 SRT 392 in red line red which is the only one in all of central Fl. I understand what you said but I special ordered the leather seats in that dark camel. These seats are to die for. The look is incredible. I love the special ride with all of the glory owning a SRT. BASICALLY it is a top of the hell cat with of course the smaller engine. I paid just what you said the price was. Dodge did not dicker with the price. The car has 12000 miles on it and I drive it for a weekend car and because of the color which is amazing it turns a lot or heads. I have the 275 on with continental all weather which are amazing. Believe it or not I have never smoked the tires but with the different rides available it’s great. I keep it in performance mode and I love it... THE Video you made was great but honestly I will never sell this car. It is five years old and it looks and rides like I just got it The color with the sparkles in that red which is not available any more is great. I feel ya brother...i bought a 2016 rt plus scat 392.I have all the hellcat goodies in alcantra seats with heated flat bottom steering wheel I put a AFE momentum GT air intake and a catch can in mine.I have a hurst slap shifter in mine and a Borla Atak cat back exhaust.I just got my girl some new socks and shoes for Xmas..🤣🤣Geanelli rims and 275/40 on front and 305/35 Michelin pilot sport 4's on back. It turns more heads than hellcats...I am in love with my girl.And what's great is im a child of 90's.So with the honeycomb interior and 🐝.I had a badge with honeycomb and a Mustle killer bee for between my taillights.Then my tag actually says K1llerBee...Threw a custom metal Wu-Tang W on left side of my tail spoiler and bam!Got my Wu-Tang killer bee!..🙃🙃u got to know Wu-Tang clan to get it..."killer beez on a swarm!"..One of a kind and nice!Oh and mine actually has the srt with bee in grill...
