I think stage 18 is the queen stage for the riders and us as fans in part because Tadej was demolished on Col de la Loze 2 years ago. Sets up this 2025 course as a full on revenge tour..
Spencer and Johan I’m curious… who are your favorite riders in the men’s peloton? I know you guys are pundits but telling us your favorites is not an issue I think. Great content though. Cheers
Does the Earth revolve around the Sun? Of course it does and it is scientifically proven. Since the days of George and Lance bikes have become 16% faster at the same amount of effort.
If Remco was smart he would not ride the tour and focus on all the Flanders classics, he can win every one of those , tour is total waste of energy for Remco.
There will always be something new and better. I think amateur sports has the most soul sucked out of it because if kids don't start training for a sport and know the right people at the right time, they don't turn pro. It is harder to get noticed just on pure natural talent alone
Mentality has changed, for years they raced for 1ste place, now they race for 2nd to 50ste place like idiots, that makes it faster and much more dangerous.
Johan asks why would Cav do another year and id say if he does it's purely for a fat cheque whilst waiting for an offer to work in a team off the bike. I'd do it if i was him and the offer came along. Look at Froomey he's making bank just playing the domestique.
Froom is pathetic, why i champion like that ends his career like a F looser ?!?..if i was him not for all the money in the world , i would rather clean toilets !!
@simoncbr900rr They don't go off for a year. their wives and family often travel to the races. Military personnel spend a long time away and make peanuts for their families future in comparison
The fact that most of the course is in the north I think benefits Tadej. He seems to ride much better in the cooler temps. I don't think the mountains phase him in the least. He's probably out climbing all of them now he loves cycling so much. 👍🏼🚵🏼💯🇸🇮
Thank you for all your time and work on the show
After all these years people still don't get Roglic's sense of humour 😊
Love the podcasts/ videos. Its a welcome distraction from politics.

Not gonna happen. Jonas has peaked or close to it. Pogaçar has an unknown threshold as of now.
@@Tererami1991Jonas gonna put Pogi to the test.
@@JensThomasNepper for sure and that’s what makes him keep improving and I’m here for that! Loving the golden era we have right now
Johan, huge fan. Keep educating the ppl.
Why would it being hard hurt Pogacar, experts? To me it seems the opposite.
Jonas wins the tour next year.
@@FTA38yearfreerideagreed 100%, Jonas will be in the best shape ever.

Always enjoy these two. Would be interesting to hear Johan’s thoughts on Contador when his name comes up. Anyone else agree?

yes
❤
Cycling is at its best ever. Popularity is going up, it's getting to be a global sport more and more.
I don't see any big issues 👍🏻
Hmmm yes and no. Road bikes sales are not at pre covid levels and participation is lower. Offroad and especially ebike is where the growth is

Yep, modern technology has ruined cycling. It's boring!

That's because the riders and the teams even more need the points
@JohnDoe-ch3qz they always talk about that cycling becomes more dangerous and all they need to do is to change that freaking points system

Trying to Pog-proof a TdF parcours will have as much chance of success as the Masters trying to Tiger-proof Augusta in the 2000s.
Make it a lot flatter, and it would open it up a bit more........
Or try get hold of a few vials of the new UAE juice.

What are the chances Mark Cavendish had a motor in his bike for his stage win in this year's tour? I'd say more than likely.
