Excellent videos William, I've learned alot, thank you for your generosity and efforts. Im trying to look for more practical and easier ideas on what to do with all these scraps I have. Liked and Subscribed.
I've made a "ton" of wood spatulas of different shapes but the same principle. One will get really good at making them very fast so you can sell them at a low price point. They alone always pay my entry fee for shows. Good vid, Lee

Good Sunday morning, I came across from Huv at Wooden-It-Be -Nice and subscribed after checking out your channel. Very nice indeed. You are an artist in my humble opinion.
Thanks very much Andrew it is a nice easy project to start off with I have a few beginner project videos to check out might give you some more ideas , Happy and safe turning 👍
Great project. I’ve made a handful of these spatulas, and they sell pretty good at craft fairs. There is one company here in Michigan that makes a chuck to hold the blank more secure in the lathe, Rubber Chucky is the name of the company. I’ve used the chuck for those spatulas, and they work great. There’s also some videos of the Detroit Area Woodturners using the chucks and turning some spatulas. I am a member of that club.
Hi Will, I love these and not only a great use of scrap pieces but I think they would sell well at Craft Markets. Great video mate. Take care Will. Cheers, Huw
No need to seal, they will absorb a certain amount of oil when cooking and take on a lovely patina over time, and just wash in mild soapy water and leave to air dry, thanks for watching much appreciated 👍 😊
Any food safe oil will be good or leave bare the utensil will absorb some oil in the cooking stage anyway, I use chestnut products food safe oil on mine, thanks for watching 👌👍

You might also make salad servers, just a slightly different profile at the end, more spoonlike
@@mickleblade Good idea. I found one has to have "smalls" to sell also and I got so good at them I could sell at an attractive price point.
