i am about to give my two weeks notice in 3 days, i am so happy for this decision. i was convinced that i was not gonna find a better job. and here i am, with $4 MORE an hour!!, for a job that really appreciates my skills and i already love the manager!. i am so excited to start this new journey!!!
I have a 1 month notice during probation. Unfortunately I had to tell them I have health issues which is half truths since the other half is me and the issues I cannot stand with management/HR/managers and the overall toxic environment
Can you just say you’re going to further your education??? Cause in some parts of the world when you tell them you got a better offer they get offended and might even tell you to leave effective immediately without serving your notice period
My lead resigned 3 weeks ago and now I don't have any supervisor. Should I directly send a resignation email to HR or should I talk to her in person about resigning? but I really want to resign.
Its true that most people quit because they got another job. But some quit and don't have another job yet. They gave a white lie about having personal plans and changes in their life etc - thats the reason they give to their boss. Because they are actually afraid to tell their boss they found another job because your boss tells you how valuable you are to the company but there are some major factors that make want to leave....
Hi, I need your advice, please. I love my job, I love the team. I only have about 25 days. I have to make a big decision I really need some advice I don’t know how to tell my manager I don’t want to hurt her feelings. Smh 🤦♀️
@@helmi_finance You’re right. That’s what I’ve been doing. I’m going to quit today and be very respectful about it. Thank you for the opportunity and byebye (in 2 weeks lol)👋 Man I hope my boss gets the mental health help he needs frfr
I am in a situation where I do have a job line up and it starts mid next month and where I work the notice period is 1 week. Sounds a lot easier to quit the job right, well not exactly the company salary payment cycle is 1 month and they paid mid of the month about 14th each month, for 2 weeks in arrears and 2 weeks in advance, when I quit I give 1 week notice period a day after I get paid (from a moral value point of view I feel guilty as I felt like too calculative quit the day I get my monthly paid). However, I will write in my resignation letter that I will work until the end of the month since I have been paid. The hardest part is because my mindset is already not with this company so subconsciously I would work a lot slower than usual and I know that not as professional as it seems, another issue is I already had performance coaching and my boss already told me the area I need to improve on. I really don't know what I should do in this situation to feel a lot less stressed, anyone who can provide me with some sort of suggestion would be much appreciated. There are still approximately 2 weeks after I resign I need to serve after I resign (1 week is notice period and 4 working days extra to cover for them paying me a whole month) and I will not feel like working as I felt extremely stressed for the reason I don't really know, anyone has an idea to help me out would be great thank you.
Whack giving the company notice. I would not give them the opportunity to mess with me before quitting... I hear what you're saying, sir, but certain racial classes of folks get harassed on the way out. Your advice doesn't work for all employees.
@@helmi_finance thanks , I've asked family members whom are more privy to this and checked my offer letter and they confirm that I only need 24hr notice

If the environment is toxic, a 2 week notice might be too long.
I know
Imagine 3 months 😂
On God.
Even 2 mins

I liked how you mentioned “you’ll never know who you cross paths with” since they say it’s “small world”. Otherwise great advise
Maybe you find your supervisor collecting unemployment benefits while you are there for the same purpose. Hey boss it's a small world....

Good advice and nice and straightforward letter.
Glad it was helpful!
How about I'm going to resign due to mental health or bcoz due to toxic of work environment.
What if I just want to quit but without another job lined up? Just say personal reasons?
What if they ask for the reasons? Do we really need to mention?
Just tell them that you wanted to try other career oppurtunity and you'ready to go..
You don’t have to go in the details about why you’re leaving. Just say I have a better opportunity at another place.
Thank you so much for your advice. Will follow this exact guide!

Any time!
We need to drop papers then inform supervisor or talk with supervisor then drop papers?
Talk to them first
Not in the US- 2 weeks standard, a MONTH for upper management
2 weeks is pretty standard. Here in Malaysia, 1 month is the norm. Some companies have 3 month notice, which is crazy
Very good content, informative, thank you 👍

Hey i wanna ask i resign on the 1st April 2024 when will be my last day given for one month notice period?
Thank you very much.
I have 2 supervisor, one immediate and one overall (head). I have talked to my direct supervisor, do I still need to talk to my overall supervisor
Depends on your company. Since you already talked to your direct supervisor, better ask him/her what is the company's policy for resigning.

Can they fired you during your last two weeks.
Employment contract? These are very rare in the United States.
You don't have any employment contract or agreement in the US? Hard to believe 🧐 Or maybe it's called something else?

i just texted i quit to my manager
Is it ok to do the resignation in hand writing?
Typing it will be more professional
if im still under probation, do i need to adhere to the 1 month notice ?

Is two weeks notice legally required or nope
That depends on your contract. You can find your notice period in your employment contract.
