  • Nestled in the heart of Victoria's Alpine region, the Mount Feathertop hike via Razorback Trail is a must-do for hiking enthusiasts. This walk has you traversing the Razorback Ridge to the top of Mount Feathertop, the second highest peak in Victoria. Mount Feathertop via the Razorback Trail is 13.5km from Hotham, a 27 km round trip. Alternatively and if you have a car shuttle or transport arranged, you can follow the Bungalow Spur track down to Harrietville.
    From Hotham, the trail ascends steadily through the alpine wilderness, leading you to some of the most stunning views in Victoria. You'll be treated to panoramic views of the Victorian Alps, including the Diamantina Spur, the Cobberas, and the Bogong High Plains.

    Where was the spot you camped at? I stayed next to the hut which was 10kms from Diamantina Hut

      The initial plan was to camp at Federation Hut but the perfect weather made it far too tempting to camp out in the open. This spot was near the foot of Mt Feathertop - Dean

    Hi Dean, can I ask how you recorded the audio?

      @TomsOutdoors  4 місяці тому

      Gday Eddie. This was all done with a Rode NTG shotgun mic with a wind sock. I find this to be a fairly easy way to get reasonable sound in the field without lugging in too much extra gear.
