Great video mate, looked like a fair mission with lots of walking.

The killer was climbing Feathertop again from the north, but without a capable car I wouldn’t have been able to check out that side of the mountain if I didn’t slog it

Great video mate! Any plans to give champion spur a crack? Heard it's pretty feral

Not too interested in Champion Spur. In terms of disgusting bush bashes in the area I am interested on trying to climb Fainter South Spur from the West Kiewa River.

I was wondering what month you did this hike? I'm from QLD and I'm trying to work out the best time of year to come experience this.

April-May or Sep-Oct are the best times to hike in the High Country without snow. You may enjoy summer being from a warmer climate but I personally cannot handle the heat.

Thanks, actually I can't stand the heat, probably moving down to Victoria permanently in the next few years, one of the aspects that drew me to this hike is the snow you're walking alongside for some of it.

Then September has historically provided the best time to hike to Feathertop without a constant cover of snow, but still with snow on the summit.
Victoria also has very hot summers, but dry heat instead of humidity like Queensland. Every time it hits November I think about moving to Norway or somewhere as equally cold 😆

    Hey Mate
Can you camp anywhere on the track?
    Thanks

No you can’t. There’s 2 good hut camping sites along this track however, at Federation Hut and MUMC Hut.

Good one digger. Sorry, I'm aghast at people who encumber themselves with ski stocks when walking. It would drive me even nuttier. 😀🇦🇺👍

I whack my GoPro on them to film most things. I’ve been using them less lately however, but they have their place for sure.
