Sandi….it took me so long to work with this deck until I paired it with Heart of the Faerie (Brian Froud & Wendy Froud) and I’ve had such a beautiful time connecting with it!!! ❤

Wonderful walk through. I absolutely love this deck. I love the wolf on the strength card. I lived with a wolf for 16 years. Gypsy was my strength and I miss her greatly. It was the most incredible experience I have ever had. It's why I had to have this deck! Thanks for sharing !

Oh wow that sounds amazing! How did that come about? Sounds like a very interesting story!
There’s also a wolf in the strength card in the forest of enchantment tarot! 💖 do you have that one? It is stunning!

@@ExploringTarot yes, I do have the Forest of Enchantment too. I got Gypsy from neighbors I had many years ago. They had both of her parents. Her father was an artic wolf, he was huge and a creamy white color. Her mother was a North American timber wolf..much smaller and mostly grey in color. The neighbors were originally asking 500.00 a puppy. They offered us a pup for 125.00 and my husband at the time jumped on it. I was on the fence about it as I had just read a book about raising wolves and I knew it was going to be a lot of work. I'm glad we did it though...it was a little rough at first and she was the hardest animal to get housebroken but once we got past that everything got easier. About a year and a half later we ended up getting a pit bull/rottweiler puppy that had been abandoned and when he was about 9 months old Gypsy went into heat. Long story short, they ended up having 4 litters of puppies over the next few years. We kept a puppy from each of the first 3 litters. By the 4th litter my boyfriend said no more. So we basically had a pack. Lucy, the only girl pup we kept looked a little like a coyote...at least I thought so at the time. Now I live out in the middle of nowhere and we have coyote packs out here and she didn't look at all like these coyotes.
It was a wonderful experience. They are all gone now and I miss them all.
I had them all cremated and have their ashes in a special box. When I eventually die my daughter will put my ashes with theirs and shake us up and let us go somewhere out in the desert to be one with nature again.
The picture is of Gypsy that I use here.

I'm so glad you got this deck Sandi!! It's one of the first decks I bought and I love it so much. I don't read with it a lot but it's still one I would never part with 🙈 I've been learning a new way to read, and now I'm curious to use it again. The star card is my favorite star card of my entire collection. For me, the meanings of the cards are in their facial expressions more than what they are doing. Their faces are so expressive that they communicate a lot!!

i LOVE 14 cards in this deck, not the rest of it. I bought it in the past and returned it. ever since (it's been years) i haven't been sure if i want to get it,....but i keep wanting to check it out but then watch a walkthrough again and I am again not sure. i love your authentic commentary and agree with so much of it, however I think that we have to keep in mind that the artist vision and our visions sometimes do not agree - ex. yes I would love to see more variety in body type etc in the decks that i work with, but the way a particular artist loves to paint/draw/express themselves might be just drawing thin people. that is why i think it's so extremely helpful when an artist describes their "theory" and talks about their art in the booklet and why they chose to represent characters in the way they do. i find so many decks are created by one person and illustrated by another - this creates a dichotomy sometimes.
fyi, the artist has a new deck out and it's kinda scary looking.

You have a great point there! when a deck is created by one person and illustrated by another there might sometimes be some misalignment indeed! At the same time if an illustrator gets hired to do a job like illustrate a deck for someone else, I assume that you would be working together with the creator/ author to try and realize their vision and not necessarily the way the artist best likes to draw people?
Either way I feel that the deck has the right to exist and be loved just exactly the way it is. I do love so much about this deck but at the same time there are aspects with the art that I feel a bit uncomfortable with. But such is life :) I will still give the deck a fair chance but it might end up not being for me!
Thank you for engaging and commenting!

Nice walkthrough! I had the exact response to the Magician that you did. And I really did laugh out loud at "I wasn’t prepared for a hedgehog!" 😀

Hey there, thank you for this. Could you imagine to do a video about the hidden realms and oracle pairings? It would be very interesting.

I love decks that just pop up. These are the decks that when they find us we truly use them instead of sticking them
On the shelf. I’ve never seen this deck 😂😂😂. It is beautiful

Hi Sandi, I can totally relate to what you are saying about the magician card. I was totally the same.....But after reading about the card in book and re- looking at the card...He sort of reminded me to Fonzie from "Happy Days"...He is like super cool and I feel he is saying to me in the picture ....Hey the magic is with in.....it's with in me. I can even hear Fonzie's voice saying" Hey". It makes me laugh when I see the Magician card now because I see him acting so ...Cool like Fronzie.....the message is the same as the magician card from RWS .....its just delivered through Fonzie which makes it very COOL indeed. I hope that helps you also. Terri from Australia
