I bought this deck after seeing your video. It came in the mail a few days before the other deck I had been waiting for, the Förhäxa tarot. I've been using them together as partner decks in readings and the synchronicity is so on pointe, it's bizarre. I am really vibing with the Shimmering Veil, it's so great for meditating on the message of each card. Most of the art feels like it was channeled. It feels like it's alive. The Förhäxa cards draw me into an earthy fairy realm and speak very clearly, and then I draw a Shimmering Veil card to pair with each Förhäxa card, and those cards lead me deep inside my soul and add a layer of understanding that I have never achieved from using tarot before. I'm so glad I saw your video and that I decided to add Cilla's deck to my tarot practice! 💜
I didn’t even wait for you to get through your presentation before I scurried over to Cilla’s website and ordered this as my February tarot deck. (I’m allowing myself one tarot a month this year 🥴). I can’t wait to get it. I’ve just started trying to learn Tarot and the cards in this deck really spoke to my soul! I happen to have Soul cards 1 and want to try them together. The geometric shape that the High Priestess is holding immediately reminded me of the illustration used for unity consciousness, which is a BEAUTIFUL message for that card!

This deck totally spoke to my soul. Such beautiful energy! I just ordered mine yesterday and was so fortunate to see that Cilla also had very few of the first edition left as well. I ordered both the first and second editions. 😀😀 It was so funny because she sent me an email to let me know that she would be sending them out very soon and was surprised that I wanted both decks. She asked if one was for a friend and I told her that both are for me. I know, I’m such a dork, but from a collectors standpoint, it’s always nice to also have a first edition, if one is possibly available. So yeah, I hit the jackpot, and I think this may end up being one of my grail decks. Anyway, I can’t wait until they get here. This is probably not something you get a lot of comments on this, but your detailed descriptions of the card stock, size, finish and how the cards shuffle. I have very painful hands and I have decks I love but can't shuffle. So this means a lot to me.

I'm glad I walked through this with you. I thought it really interesting that you saw The Fool releasing the butterfly rather than reaching out to capture or follow it. The Lovers card looked dark to me, questionable facial expressions and a heart being rended apart (just my take). After dismissing it because of the card size and several of the images I didn't like, you've made me rethink my stance and it's now on a back burner, simmering near the buy button. It was interesting how well it worked with the Soul Cards, of which I don't have either.
Interesting take on the Fool and Lovers. Yes - it makes sense the fool is following the butterfly - my own first impressions are sometimes surprising to me too lol. I definitely don't see the darkness in the Lovers for myself - but I can see why it could feel that way to others!

I don't think I've ever done a video just about them!! I did do a video for the Unicorn Fam members on how I got started doing Past LIfe readings which heavily featured this deck... but I really should do a dedicated public video all about them!!

Making the choice was tough but the shimmering veil ended up being the one. I will be getting the rest of her decks. She is incredible and I love the way she was Called to create these decks.
I have all of the decks that you used at the end of the video, and I was so surprised how nicely the Hero's Journey paired with The Shimmering Veil. But really, I've really got to spend a month with Soul Cards and The Shimmering Veil. That was astounding! Maybe pull one card from the Portals of Presence and then, maybe a few pairs of cards from The Shimmering Veil and Soul Cards - or maybe a lay a three-card of Soul Cards and another three-card of The Shimmering Veil beneath it? They were amazing together. I've worked with The Shimmering Veil with Cilla Conway's other decks, The Intuitive Tarot and The Devas of Creation Oracle, but now....you've got me really excited to use Soul Cards. Thank you so much for doing this.
I feel like this deck might work really well with the Soul Cards and/or that huge deck with the faces by the author of the Soul Cards. Can't think of the name of that one... *Edited to add: I posted this initially while you were going through the Majors. The pairing with the Soul Cards is just stunning. I've never really resonated with the Soul Cards, but I got tingles seeing them paired with this Tarot deck. The other pairing looks absolutely incredible as well. Still not sure this Tarot or the Soul Cards are for me, but this video has definitely made me see them in a much deeper way. I've put them on my list for further consideration. I'd love to see a video of these decks working together.
Have you checked out Cilla's Devas of Creation oracle? That was one of the first decks I bought a couple of years ago. It really is as the title suggests: all the seen and unseen energies of creation, masterfully expressed. I prefer Devas to Shimmering Veil because there are fewer human figures, and that's where I seem to struggle with some of her art, which I think is otherwise amazing. (There's also the "multidimensional devas," but there are some very heady concepts in that one!) I think I'd have profound readings with Shimmering Veil and deepen my understanding of the tarot by using it (your insights were great, btw!), but given the price tag, I'll keep reaching for The Devas instead for now. Check out Kelly at The Truth in Story for all her reviews of Cilla's decks (she's a huge fan and has some awesome insights too)!
The Lovers immediately reminded me of Legacy of the Divine Lovers card too. The 6 of Earth reminds me of traditional RWS Hierophant. I like this deck. I will need to decide if this is a deck I want to have or a deck that I appreciate that it exists.
Your Soul cards and this deck are already paired on some plane. You might as well join them, on my view. This artwork is so meaningful and evocative but these are not my cards to read. They're like my Crow Oracle which I have expressly for the art.

To me, the card looks like someone stealing away at night... there's definitely some sneaky-sneak in the card :D Which is what I look for.

Wow what an experience!! So glad you're okay. I think this would be a wonderful deep dive deck for someone newer but I do think you'd need to spend time really getting to know it first!
Anyone else watching this and mentally betting with themselves as to how long it takes before Lisa comes out with a new reading she created (or an updated version of her past life reading) where she's using this in some way, perhaps with her soul cards? no? Just me? lol

The artwork in this deck, I have no words. It’s an amazing deck. Since I’ve only been doing tarot the past few months, though I’m told I have past lifetimes with tarot and runes. I feel like I’ve been burned at the stake for tarot and runes in the past. I’ll tell you something that gives me chills. In august of 2020 I was involved in an accident that caused 3rd degree burns to my left hand and forearm requiring surgery & skin grafts. I happen to be left handed and that’s my drawing hand….yep true story. Do you think this deck would be good for someone newer to tarot? I loved your walkthrough. Please do a live soon you guys! 💜💜💜
