I love this deck. Didn’t realize there was a second printing. This deck is an amazing reader. I love it. This one and the Faery oracle by Brian Froud. Those would be the ultimate Fae/Faery decks. I appreciate the “realness” of the images and just the respect for the accuracy of the drawings
I did watch this back (since I got pulled away for a meeting that day) and was able to see the 9 of Pentacles. 😍 And can I just say I love your purple edging job on this deck. Gorgeous! 🥰💜
Simon, you gave me an idea. What if every time you see a moth on a card or painting you think butterfly or faerie? This might help you over your fear if you turn your mind to thinking it is not what scares you. I found I got over my fear of spiders by turning my mind. I bought video games where I knew there would be spiders so I could work up the courage to play it and kill them. Now I can swat one if I have to without any fear because the game empowered my mind to think, not a problem to run from, just pick up a book and smack it. This way to, you don't have to kill the thing you are afraid of since video creatures are not real. Then the next time you encounter a real one, the fear is not there anymore and you can swat it away. Let me know if it works for you.
@@the_hermits_cave You don' need to do the whole video game thing. Just train your brain by saying butterfly or faerie every time you see one. The fear will subside or maybe even go away.
I want to like this deck, because it is fey and beautiful. But I really struggle to connect to it. The close-up portraits don't give me anything to catch onto when I try to read them. Without the larger scenes, they all look kind of the same to me.
I find this (tarot of the hidden realm) a really hard deck to understand and connect too. I decided instead of using the deck I can Bluetack them to my wall as Art.

I qad thinking that this deck and the Froud decks would pair well.
They might pair with Fairy Lights and Secret Forest tarots, too.

I know it sounds pretty lame, but the thought of even having to go through that is off-putting. it’s a fear of the fear, if that makes sense!?

Better to put a spider outside than kill it. They're gentle creatures and cause no harm.
I see dragon eyes too.
