I’m not playing to win. I play for rewards. A lot of ppl who don’t gamble don’t realize you get free drinks while gambling at the casino. You also play towards free rooms for their hotels. I’ve gotten a free room in oceans casino by spending $200 in the casino. Their rooms go for $300-$1000+ per night. Plus the free drinks I got while gambling. That’s why many ppl gamble. The gambling addicts who are going broke and betting their life savings in the casino are a very small percentage of gamblers.

Even watching sports on tv or UA-cam sports shows. They’re all sponsored by draft kings or fan duel.
I think the industry has exploded so fast and has so much money in lobbying it’s outpaced regulation. I think it should be legal in some form but there should for sure be limits on marketing towards minors and also some warnings of what gambling can lead to. Like show a picture of some guy sleeping in his car after his wife left him or something.
It’s obviously hard to control with how many minors have internet and social media access but I’m predicting a big wave of gambling addiction when kids that are now in high school and college are in their 30s…

As someone who has never and doesn't intend to gamble, I am so TIRED of seeing ads or sponsors for Underdog fantasy, Draft Kings, ESPN bet, etc. That whole market is something that isn't talked about enough...
For someone who is trying to quit, it is hard to see EVERYONE having these ads. It's insane. I'm an adult who makes her own decisions, but I worry about 18-22 yos who are adults but don't understand how bad it is.

Damn… As a recovered drug addict, I’ve always been grateful for the fact that somehow I skipped the addiction to nicotine, alcohol, or gambling. They never did shit for me. My addictions were much more reckless, obviously wrong, and unenjoyable. In my experience, people addicted to socially acceptable and “benign” things have a MUCH harder time getting free.

Nicotine and alcohol addictions are some of the best to skip health wise, seriously something you should be proud of and grateful for. I wasn’t addicted to alcohol but in only 7 years of young adult nicotine use, I fucked up my teeth and blood pressure and finances. All of that recovered when I quit though 👍🏽

Gambling is not inherently harmful, gambling is just as addictive as let's say food. Certain people shouldn't do addictive things because they can't regulate themselves the same way other people do. As a adhd maybe autistic person I know first hand that alot of people problem with gambling, or food, or anything out there that isn't physically addictive, it's actually that they are addicted to the dopamine said thing gives them. They have addiction to the chemical in their brain, not flashy lights or screens that say you win

One time while at a creek casino the older gentleman chiefing cigarettes with an oxygen tank while playing the slots right beside me died.

It was sad.

One thing this video taught me is that when everyone was like "oh he streams on kick" that Kick is its own streaming platform and not Kik the old messaging platform💀 that also allowed streaming. Wild.
What bothers me is that a lot of people still don’t understand how dangerous gambling is. We all hear about gambling, but I don’t think a lot of of us know the statistics of how many people are ruined because they are actually addicted to it. So instead of pushing for mental health and more awareness of ways that people can curb their addictions, we just accept it, like alcoholism.

Don't ever create fake gambling profiles with fake information like Matty is talking about @7:15, that is the easiest way to be denied payouts because you always need to verify information for a big win. You could spend 100k over years and not win anything with no questions asked, the second you do win something; the questions will start flowing your way. If your details don't match they won't pay.

Gambling is gives a false hope to people who need money as an easy way out. It turns into a horrible addiction that is just as bad as a drug addiction. Poorer people are especially targeted which is horrible. I’m glad I’ve as of yet never got into gambling. I know I would get addicted. Only thing I ever did was play one hand of 21 at a casino and doubled my money and quit. I felt myself feeling that rush and I knew I would go crazy. Hopefully I can keep it that way. Gambling is just too addictive

I honestly believe that Drake has a gambling addiction, he's secretly in debt, and that's (part of) the reason why he's attempting to sue UMG. He's so desperate for money that he's willing to throw away all of his credibility as a rapper and sue a record label over a rap beef, which is basically career suicide.

I can still recall the painful hunger I experienced as a child. I remember going to bed hungry and waking up with the same ache because my mother was an impulsive gambler. After my father passed away from cancer, she began gambling. There was no food many times because of her gambling addiction.
