Belen to Mountainair, NM in 4k - April 2024 - Meets, Manifests, Oil, Work train, Intermodals. Today was another good show on the Southern Transcon. Different action and a few trains were not near track speed, so it was nice to catch 'em. No wind issues. I should also note that west of Abo Canyon they are doing track work, so it seemed like westbounds would be held if you were wondering why it seemed like they were being held. Thanks for another good one. Some good sound again. It’s a great area to watch trains and you captured it well. Lack of DPU a bit surprising but I’m sure that will be the opposite next trip!

Thanks Richard. I'll visit this area again for sure. Lots of action and places to catch it. It's odd how I don't see many manifests out here, but then I hit Tehachapi and it seems like there is a fair amount. Same with intermodal. Not many in Tehachapi, but a ton from LA to New Mexico (and beyond). I know that they are different lines, but it's a good change.
