thank you for the review! this is perfect for what I’m looking for! I don’t need an everyday case so I don’t mind the speaker thing. I mainly want it for when I’m swimming with friends or going to similar events! The waterproof is what I’m looking for! Do you think the 14 plus would fit my 15 plus? I saw they were the same dimensions? I might try it out for the cheaper priced case!

how does it handle phone calls? I’ve had some cases that muffles my voice when I’m talking and I’m trying to avoid that
What’s the drop protection like though?
Have you ever looked into, or tried the Catalyst Total Protection case and if so, what were your thoughts ? I've had a couple Lifeproof Fre cases in the past. I got tired of the hard plastic swivel door for the port, so I went for the Catalyst Total Protection, which had rubber plugs on the port, for my last 2 phones. However, I see that Otterbox have now updated the Fre with a rubber plug for the port as well; that said, looking at the design of both I believe the Catalyst is easier to open due to a small tab which is made to be grabbed, especially if you have gloves on (I live in a cool climate). I also liked the clear back on the Catalyst, vs. the solid black on the Fre, and I thought that the sound quality was better with the Catalyst. In terms of quality of construction and toughness, I thought they were comparable.

you can’t have protective glass on it
Does the iPhone fit with a screen protector installed? Thinking on buying for the 15 Pro Max, but I know sometimes tiny specs of dust/sand can get in and ends up scratching the screen. I know this because I used to have this case for the iPhone SE 1st gen. So far from the pictures on their website, this seems to be the only one that is fully closed, it doesn't have the old cut out for the silent switch some other cases have.

I’m a longtime defender series xt user cause i need to use MagSafe for driving but i always had to buy a separate screen protector. So glad i found this video and glad otterbox came out with this cause i need the protection but with MagSafe thanks for the in depth review definitely getting this for my 15 pro
Does it keep like lint out of it and dust and how’s the call quality can the other person on the other end hear u just fine?
i've had this for just under a year now and it muffles north incoming and out going sounds. videos and calls, where mine makes me sound muffled to others on facetime. i also got a scratch on the camera protector, which makes some pics blurry
I've always used the Lifeproof fre. Watched your review and ordered a case for my 13. My most important thing is dust protection from sawdust as I mill logs on my sawmill, and woodwork a lot. Drop is the second most important thing. The biggest failure mode I have with these cases is the soft grip on the outside wears/tears off from all the in and out of my pocket. thx.
Life proof cases used to be amazing, multi colors, I had a fire blue and orange one back in the phone 6 days
Waterproof cases are really practical. I was on vacation in Greece in July with my S23 Ultra and my case of choice was the Ghostek Nautical. They make great waterproof cases as well and I was really happy with it, did a great job. It has crazy tight water seals for the s pen and the charging port 👍🏼
Ghostek is the exact same as oak tree and a few others. More than likely same owners or alibaba specials. Not bad cases just not the best as far as I can see (I have an oak ridge on a iPhone 12 Pro Max)

I’m a truck driver and I’m thinking about getting one for my iPhone13. I did a double layer of liquid glass on my screen. I think it helps with the double layer. But I’m not going to test it. I only use otter box for my phones.

I’ve been looking for a rugged case but I don’t like the built in screen protector because I use a privacy screen protector already and if I was to buy this I’m notaries if I take the built in one off it would fit properly so I’ll pass
The screen is exactly what i was looking for i tried the case with my glass screen protector and it created bubbles in the built in screen

My lifeproof fre on my XS Max has ensured my phone is spotless, scratchless with no wear and tear. The only thing ive changed is the same case itself bought from amazon at ocassional discounts. And that is 5 years.

I’ll NEVER understand why lifeproof CONTINUES to use the most BASIC && BORING colors on their Fre cases . At that price point you’d think you’d be able to customize ur color . Or even at least give us more than boring black && other colors NO ONE wants . I want Black n Red , or Grey or SOMETHING

As soon as I stopped using the case yeah phone broke with a belk case! Trash smh. Will be ordering again.
But remember iPhone 14 Pro Max is already IP-68 can withstand 6meters submersion for half hour.
I just stick with my Pitaka MageZ pro 3 and rebel gen 4 🥳
The screen protector on it is alright but gets dirty easily
I don’t think it’s worth it if you’re not in wet or dusty environments because the front plastic screen protector gets really oily and it attracts fingerprints like there’s no tomorrow.
I wouldn’t use the case as a daily case but if you’re in either of those two environments, it’s perfect. I’m going back to the beach this weekend and I’m slapping it on again and once I get back home, I’m taking it off again. Case with a purpose.
I use it for work. I work at an auto collision facility, and I weld/ grind metal, sand body filler all day. With out the case my camera gets full of metal all around the lens. Works like a charm to keep it free from bondo dust
Bought one for my phone. I do construction work so it seems Ideal to keep my phone protected throughout the day

Yeah I mentioned that in the videos and it’s not an everyday case. It’s made for when you need it and then take it off. Serves its purpose.

I personally use protective cases on all my phone's because phones are too expensive not to protect .. But That's Me .. Too each his or her own ..
