For anyone considering Shellrus Sapphire screen protector iPhone 14 version: I had terrible experience with the installation and believe mine has defects but customer service thinks I installed it wrong when I asked for a replacement. The installation guide left warped sides on mine from the nubs holding it in place and I can see areas on the adhesive that are uneven causing bubbles. Also the blue tool they tell you to use is too thick and ends up warping the edges if you have to release a bubble or reapply. I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated since I was so excited for this protector but the free protector from miracase (ordered bc of this video) included with silicon case off Amazon was easier to install than this and looked better than my Shellrus one right now. I’ll try heating mine to fix the bubble issues and send evidence to sapphire but with the high cost and advertisement of a easy install, if mine can’t be recovered i will never purchase from them again. I am impressed I got a response from customer service within same day though based off other reviews online reporting terrible customer service
Just a point of interest on the Mous cases for those that are considering it or wondered why there is only a lip on 3 sides of the camera. The reason that there is no "bottom" wall on the camera lip is so that it doesn't interfere with magsafe accessories connecting securely to the back of the phone. some accessories can't connect solidly to the back of the phone if that bottom lip is too thick. :)
When you have to worry about the CASE breaking, I'd think about another choice. I've used Otterbox Defender since 3GS. It's expensive, but I'm protecting a $1200 phone. I get a kick out of the cases that have an armor look, but are simply molded plastic... The case isn't the place to skimp...
I'm currently using Nomad Sport case in Lunar Gray on my Space Black iPhone. It looks so sleek and stylish, in my opinion. The white contrasting with the black frame and black camera module just looks really nice. Loving it.
I’ve been running otterbox on older phones and I’m rough on phones. Never had to replace a lens since going to otterbox. And that’s dropping phones a lot, and on all sorts of surfaces.
I like the Otterbox Clear Symmetry, Apple Leather Case, Speck Presidio Perfect Clear with MagSafe, Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagSafe, and Speck Presidio 2 Grip.
Phone Rebel case puts all other cases to shame. I personally love the Phone Rebel Flex series. Like a naked phone with more protection than even most heavy duty looking cases. The case actually compliments the phone rather than compromising for safety. Love it! EverythingApplePro really changed the game switching from UA-cam content creator to phone case engineering.
Pretty disappointed with my experiance with phone rebel. Case had a manufactures defect and they wouldn't cover replacement. When looking online i see many others complaining about similar issues.

My totally favourite case's are Castify, i swear protection plus even with the minimal protection case. I think i have dropped my iphone a dozen times and not even my screen protector has cracked it just bounces off the ground any surface lol. Bar Castify my next or 2nd fave i love is DBrand just as good as Castify. Yes both these brands they cost more but protection is just about guarenteed. The fact i am still on my first screen protector says it all for me. I guess you get what you pay for :-) Great Video by the way ;-)

Great video on cases. Very informative. I just got today my 14 pro max and I’m “glad” they run out black leather cases at the store. My choice will go then for Nomad or Mous.
I dropped my 12 pro max yesterday on hard vinyl tiled floor, and the apple silicon case by the weight of the device pushed the case off one corner and I have no doubt that though the device did not show any damage, it definitely hit floor. So I will be looking for a case with more overlap on the screen and a tighter fit . I might add , the phone took a chunk out of the silicon on the corner. At best I would only rate that case as medium to low protection.
Got the Mous Limitless 5.0 Aramide 😍 Super happy with it, the buttons are great, drop protection is superb and the Aramide is really longlasting! On my 11 Pro Max, I used the Mous Aramide Case for 2 years and it still looked gread 😮
For me it’s the best case I have ever had! I would buy it again :) And the durability is definitely worth the extra price, considering a 14 Pro Max is like 20 times the price of the case
I like Torras Guardian cases. And for me, the lanyard /wrist the strap holes are a must have. And if you take advantage of them , you won’t drop your phone!
That Miracase is one of my favorite looks wise but I am getting a new phone and haven’t had MagSafe yes so will probably stick with something that has it.

i like the apple leather, nomad leather, mous, and nomad sport. some of those in the latter part of the video were hilarious with the boomer belt clip and 2008 transformers design.
I jump back and forth between cases. Currently waiting on my Casetify Bounce case to get here after Cyber Monday. Right now I'm going back and forth between the Caudabe Sheath and the Mous Limitless 5.0. I also have a dbrand grip and an Apple leather case. The grip case from dbrand needs better magnets. Apple's leather case is alright. After owning cases with grip strips, it's hard to go back to it if I want a minimalist look.

I wish I had looked at your vid before rushing out to Walmart. They were the only option late Sunday. Got OtterBox clear plastic. It’s okay not as formfitting as it should be for the price ($50). Camera bumpers are pretty flush with tops of lenses. MagSafe compatible though. Any ideas on screen protectors? Easy install & foolproof application centering is important.

It might be too "bulky" to some, but I much prefere the Spigen tough armor than the one you showed. I have that on my 14 pro max. The back stand is handy for watch landscape videos too.
Spigen has been one of my favorites. I drop my phone's constantly. I had a Spigen on my iPhone 6s for 5 years, and have had one on my note 20 for 3. Ordered one for my 14 pro when it comes in too
@@billjamal4764 I still have a Spigen armor case on my old 6s plus too, I retired it few weeks ago, but still looks like brand new without the case even after 7 years of daily use. You gonna like the tough armor on the 14 pro, I got even a spare of that case for the 14 promax and extra screen protectors. The Spigen screen protectors with the framed insert kit are great, so easy to install, no bubbles and looks great. I can recomend you get a camera lens protector, the lenses stick out quite a bit on the back. I have a PANZERGLASS camera lens protector made of tempered glass and it's great so far. I believe spigen make them too, but I couldn't find it when I bought mine. Better be safe from the beginning than sorry later, imo.

I would have ordered an Apple case for our new (not yet delivered) 14 Pro iPhones. MagSafe is a great concept but it's rather weak. More accessories should be strong like MagBak products. Hmm, maybe Velcro is the answer to wallets and such that fall off a standard MagSafe case.🤔
I can’t believe there still isn’t making a lens cap that simply pushes into the cutout. The lenses are the most vulnerable part and never adequately protected. Might be a 3D print project.
Spigen makes one called the Optik. I have it, great protection for the camera. This guy seems against Spigen, so you only got a lot of the same looking cases, no variety

Appreciate you talking about what you like but really wanted to see the case from all angles. The nomad leather case interested me the most but you never showed the bottom, i want to make sure the bottom is covered unlike the apple cases that leave your phone exposed.

Apple silicon is my favorite for sure but I wish they had better colors this year. Most are really dark or really light except the red. I wish they had a royal or bright blue. But I might check out that totallee frosted case. Looked nice with the silver.
I own the 14 Pro not the 14 promax I’d say at least 80 to 90% of cases out there are not designed for mag safe for the 14 pro and utilizing mag safe a good 15 to 20% of the companies out there and have recognized in order to use mag safe with the 14 pro you have to cut away the lower edge of your camera protection … otherwise, that whip that protects the camera lenses prevents mag safe from fitting properly. Obviously people with the max iPhones do not have this issue. Thanks
I quite like the look of the Alphex cases - transparent with a nice shine on the edges instead of the traditional matte black. Going to put a dbrand black skin beneath mine since I wished the space black was darker. As far as wobble goes, I found that since the new 14 Pro Max cameras go just beyond 50% width of the phone, only a few cases properly wobble, a few are nearly imperceptible, and some just have none - a nice surprise.

I am pretty careful with my phone and haven’t dropped it on any hard surface but do throw it around on beds/couches/toss in jeans/etc. and do not see any scratches on the lenses whatsoever. I think so long as there’s at least 1mm of lip over the lenses on a case you’d be good.

Bought the NOMAD Horween leather case for My iPhone 14 Pro Max after watching this. Had to return it. It was kind of cooked.The iPhone frame was showing on the top left but not on the right side... too distracting! Would not recommend it. Apples cases are expensive, but they fit are SUPER nice and the phone knows what color case is on (chip inside I guess).

The nomad plastic cases look like something you would buy from a gas station stand as a temporary until you’ve got a good case

Spigen has been one of my favorites. I drop my phone's constantly. I had a Spigen on my iPhone 6s for 5 years, and have had one on my note 20 for 3. Ordered one for my 14 pro when it comes in too
@@billjamal4764 I still have a Spigen armor case on my old 6s plus too, I retired it few weeks ago, but still looks like brand new without the case even after 7 years of daily use. You gonna like the tough armor on the 14 pro, I got even a spare of that case for the 14 promax and extra screen protectors. The Spigen screen protectors with the framed insert kit are great, so easy to install, no bubbles and looks great.
I can recomend you get a camera lens protector, the lenses stick out quite a bit on the back. I have a PANZERGLASS camera lens protector made of tempered glass and it's great so far. I believe spigen make them too, but I couldn't find it when I bought mine. Better be safe from the beginning than sorry later, imo.
Fell in love with the nomad brand and the leather cases, just ordered my first case from there and I hope to stick with them 7:06

This was very informative and helpful review of some of the cases. I wasn’t familiar with Nomad, but I will definitely check those out, as well as Maus. I would have ordered an Apple case for our new (not yet delivered) 14 Pro iPhones. I have the same opinion of not wanting a clear case with MagSafe cases because I don’t like the MagSafe ring showing. Thank you for doing this video. I’m in southeast Louisiana and can definitely relate to the heat. lol Come on, Fall!!

MagSafe is a great concept but it's rather weak. More accessories should be strong like MagBak products. Hmm, maybe Velcro is the answer to wallets and such that fall off a standard MagSafe case.🤔

I can’t believe there still isn’t making a lens cap that simply pushes into the cutout. The lenses are the most vulnerable part and never adequately protected. Might be a 3D print project.
Spigen makes one called the Optik. I have it, great protection for the camera. This guy seems against Spigen, so you only got a lot of the same looking cases, no variety

Do you have a suggestion for a case that’s similar to the LifeProof fre waterproof? I need a case now & they don’t have that series for the iPhone 14. I also drop my phone a lot (like twice a day)

@@BaneTech I like it. Was shocked at first at how dark it was. I was expecting a lavender from the pics on Apple’s website. I rarely watch reviews beforehand. But, it seems classy and in a clear Defender I get to see it. My 12 was in Product Red which I hated
I always like the Product Red at first but not really for the long haul.
@@BaneTech it looks a bit orangey for a red. At the time I got the 12 Otter had just 3 colors on the MagSafe Defender. So, I had a Product Red phone in a lavender/teal case 🤣

Appreciate you talking about what you like but really wanted to see the case from all angles. The nomad leather case interested me the most but you never showed the bottom, i want to make sure the bottom is covered unlike the apple cases that leave your phone exposed.

Apple silicon is my favorite for sure but I wish they had better colors this year. Most are really dark or really light except the red. I wish they had a royal or bright blue. But I might check out that totallee frosted case. Looked nice with the silver.

Spigen definitely makes their own stuff. They’re all made in Korea. They don’t just slap their brand on some random Chinese-made cases.

I own the 14 Pro not the 14 promax I’d say at least 80 to 90% of cases out there are not designed for mag safe for the 14 pro and utilizing mag safe a good 15 to 20% of the companies out there and have recognized in order to use mag safe with the 14 pro you have to cut away the lower edge of your camera protection … otherwise, that whip that protects the camera lenses prevents mag safe from fitting properly. Obviously people with the max iPhones do not have this issue. Thanks
I quite like the look of the Alphex cases - transparent with a nice shine on the edges instead of the traditional matte black. Going to put a dbrand black skin beneath mine since I wished the space black was darker.
As far as wobble goes, I found that since the new 14 Pro Max cameras go just beyond 50% width of the phone, only a few cases properly wobble, a few are nearly imperceptible, and some just have none - a nice surprise.

@@abhirupTHEGAME I have not used a lens protector. I am pretty careful with my phone and haven’t dropped it on any hard surface but do throw it around on beds/couches/toss in jeans/etc. and do not see any scratches on the lenses whatsoever. I think so long as there’s at least 1mm of lip over the lenses on a case you’d be good.

The clear totallee case does not work with magsafe.

The best case is no case with Aoole care so you can enjoy the phone naked. a close 2nd is the leather ink case and the clear case

Bought the NOMAD Horween leather case for My iPhone 14 Pro Max after watching this. Had to return it. It was kind of cooked.The iPhone frame was showing on the top left but not on the right side... too distracting! Would not recommend it. Apples cases are expensive, but they fit are SUPER nice and the phone knows what color case is on (chip inside I guess).
