Didn’t read all the comments but here’s one that wasn’t covered when talking about the camera zoom. If you swipe up on the zoom buttons, you will bring up a zoom wheel that allows you to zoom to any settings all the way to 15 power.

Here’s a tip I found for dimming your AOD. Reduce your “white point” in accessibility to 25%! It barely lowers your general brightness and it drastically dims your AOD. It’s so much more better. You’re welcome 😊
For your tip about swiping down for notification center, you can just swipe on the right side of dynamic island. Just a little to the left of the WiFi icon. Works great for me!

Always on is nice for the novelty effect, around two minutes. The problem with it is, you never know if your iPhone is awake or locked. That can get stressful after a while. So I turned off the Always On and have never missed it!
I upgraded to the 14 pro max from a normal size XS and was concerned it would be too big but in reality I have always used my phone with 2 hands anyway and I actually find it easier to use than the smaller sized phone especially if I want to use the on screen keyboard for messages or whatever.. Less fat fingering. And its a bigger screen so media is better than on it was on my last phone. This one is almost a tablet lol
I went from a 6.7 inch display on android to the iPhone 14 pro and it’s so much better. iOS uses the screen Real Estate so much better. Plus the Super Retina XDR display quality, I could never go back
I think it’s a little bit too big but the 14 Pro is a little bit too small, and I prefer it a bit too big because I love the big screen and I am also always carrying my phone in a purse and rarely a pocket. I agree, I went with the pro, coming from a Samsung note 20. I prefer larger displays, but the pro max wider and heavier than the Samsung like, so it just feels unwieldy to me
Is anyone having problems with their cellular connection strength? I have AT&T and have just recently upgraded from a iPhone 11 Pro Max to a iPhone 14 Pro Max. I am now experiencing dead zones in areas that worked with my old phone.

The X2 zoom is not an optical zoom, it is a digital crop from the full 48mp mode so it is a full 12mp taken from the center portion of the sensor. A clever solution but misleading to call it 'optical'.

if you toggle the percentage the battery icon won't decrease. Apple's adding that in next update (current beta). It's not a bug just awful design currently.
Lot of helpful tips. Thanks. A very odd thing happened today to my iPhone 14 Pro Max. It has the latest iOS 16.0.3. The others screens behind the Home screen that you reach by swiping left disappeared. The apps were still available provided I could remember them. And the handy final screen that groups things by category was there but only that screen appeared when I swiped the Home screen left. I looked everywhere in Settings and found nothing (not that I had changed anything). I did an Internet search and found nothing. Then this evening the other screens all reappeared. I wondered if this was a bug?
Same, it's been going on & off simce I got mine a few weeks ago & I realized the home screen never disappeared. So I made about 5 groupings and put the essentials in them (financial, entertaiment, travel etc.) and just moved them all to home screen. Weirdly, there is a final new screen swiping left all the way, just before the Apple groupings with all of them, and it's a dupe of my own home groupings. And nothing else. Obviously a bug, hoping a new update fixes this. It is mentioned on the Apple forum.

Smudging does happen on the camera. But you only notice it with lighting. It creates weird glare if the light hits the camera from the side. Happens with all cameras. But it's pretty easy to get used to touching a specific part of the island, to the left of the camera

Got this one as my secondary phone. From an android perspective, there's much to learn on both sides. What IOS can improve: -Gestures should keep the same across all phones -One handed mode is much better implemented on samsung where it actually sizes the screen down and let's you pick wich corner of the screen suits you better -AOD should have the option to be scheduled so you can have a night clock and notification badges, bc during the day it's usually so bright it will consume too much battery -Camera settings should be remembered every time. I'm not saying it shouldn't default to a photo, but having to adjust the settings every time you need to use the app is a problem What Android can improve -Battery optimization, most devices will let you cap you battery charge to 80% to avoid overcharging, but it would be nice if it learned your patterns and finish charging when you're about to use the phone -Keyboard dictionary and keys has much to improve, especially in most languages that are not english

Just for clarification - you stated that HD (1080p, or 2k) is the highest quality available for action mode. That is not the case - 2.8k is in fact the highest quality. HD is not higher than 2.8k.
Hey Brandon! I’ve noticed that when I unlock my phone, my Lock Screen first goes to black (still showing the time/widgets that I’ve set up) for a very brief moment (maybe like a millisecond) before showing my actual wallpaper… I’m using the iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 16.0.2. Have you noticed this issue at all? I’ve tried resetting and restoring from a back up, but still notice the same thing :(
Great video! However, fingerprint smudges on the front facing camera will affect picture quality in some lighting conditions (especially outdoors on sunny days). It gives the photo a bit of haziness (or at least that is true on my 14 Pro Max).
I would love to find the recipe for a Shortcut to toggle between the 48mp and 12mp ProRaw formats. Most of the time the 12mp raw file is sufficient for me so I prefer to leave it on that setting but once in a while I would like the additional resolution. It would be nice to be able to invoque it via Siri

Awesome videos man, thank you. I don't remember which video you mentioned the multiple eSIMS, but I became curious and wanted to see if Spectrum could add two phone numbers to an iPhone 14 Pro. Have you heard if this is possible? Everyone I spoke to at Spectrum said no, so far. What was the APP you mentioned that may make this possible. Just got the 14 Pro yesterday and don't want to carry my 7 around until I change all vendors over to the number on the 14.
You can definitely have two numbers on one phone because I have had it for quite some time now. I upgraded to the 14 Pro and had issues with the eSIMS because Verizon need to activate on their side before it would work. Not sure who your carrier is but it can be dome. I can't set up the ringtones by phone number but you can set uo a contacts with different ringtones. For instance I can have my business users call me on one line and assign all of them the same ring tone. Hope this helps

Hi Brandon i have 2 14 pro max and i'm on public beta and despite enabling raw, i've noticed that all my shots are 36 MP instead of 48 MP ... i have weird resolutions like 8064x4536 despite shooting with the main lens at 1x it says 24mm aperture of 1.78 like yours, ISO 100 and the last difference is 1/50 sec i think it must be the shutter speed ... i dunno , but i'm starting to wonder if i got 2 14 pro max who have a 36 MP camera instead of a 48MP one ... ( inn the pro RAW options i have the 48 MP option enabled ) i'm starting to think something is weird... sometimes the camera will take shots who will weight around 50 to 80 mb and even when the info panel say 36 MP i have the 48 MP resolution which is 8064x6048. can someone test this on his/ her 14 pro or pro max and tell me if i am the only one ? thanks a lot.

I had a iPhone 12 in 256gb and upgraded to the deep purple 14 pro in 512gb. I believe it’s worth the upgrade for me and I will be keeping my phone for 3-4 years to come.
personally, i had a yellow iphone 11 with 128gb that i got in june 2020 and i upgraded last week to the 14 pro with 512gb in deep purple. i love my 11 so much and it’s my favorite phone i’ve ever had but 128gb wasn’t quite enough storage for me. that’s the only reason i upgraded. yes the 14 pro upgrade was worth it for me, i love the better camera and i’ll never run out of storage again but honestly if your 11 still works good for you and you’re good on storage i’d say wait for the 15 to upgrade.

same exact situation , came from the xs . i find the size to be a little jarring , but i’m loving the bigger screen and fatter battery life

You can turn just the wallpaper off for always in. It’s nice. Saves battery but the 14 already has an insanely good battery anyways.
you can actually unshow the animation on the island while playing music, just swipe left to unshow, and swipe right to show 🍋🍋🍋🫶🏻

Got this one as my secondary phone. From an android perspective, there's much to learn on both sides.
What IOS can improve:
-Gestures should keep the same across all phones
-One handed mode is much better implemented on samsung where it actually sizes the screen down and let's you pick wich corner of the screen suits you better
-AOD should have the option to be scheduled so you can have a night clock and notification badges, bc during the day it's usually so bright it will consume too much battery
-Camera settings should be remembered every time. I'm not saying it shouldn't default to a photo, but having to adjust the settings every time you need to use the app is a problem
What Android can improve
-Battery optimization, most devices will let you cap you battery charge to 80% to avoid overcharging, but it would be nice if it learned your patterns and finish charging when you're about to use the phone
-Keyboard dictionary and keys has much to improve, especially in most languages that are not english

Just for clarification - you stated that HD (1080p, or 2k) is the highest quality available for action mode. That is not the case - 2.8k is in fact the highest quality. HD is not higher than 2.8k.

Hey Brandon! I’ve noticed that when I unlock my phone, my Lock Screen first goes to black (still showing the time/widgets that I’ve set up) for a very brief moment (maybe like a millisecond) before showing my actual wallpaper…
I’m using the iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 16.0.2. Have you noticed this issue at all? I’ve tried resetting and restoring from a back up, but still notice the same thing :(

Great video! However, fingerprint smudges on the front facing camera will affect picture quality in some lighting conditions (especially outdoors on sunny days). It gives the photo a bit of haziness (or at least that is true on my 14 Pro Max).
I don’t think I’ve ever taken a picture without wiping my camera first anyway.
Really? I've smudged it up as much as I can and even got it sticky but no change in quality (16.1 b2/3 on 14PM)

I would love to find the recipe for a Shortcut to toggle between the 48mp and 12mp ProRaw formats. Most of the time the 12mp raw file is sufficient for me so I prefer to leave it on that setting but once in a while I would like the additional resolution. It would be nice to be able to invoque it via Siri

Awesome videos man, thank you. I don't remember which video you mentioned the multiple eSIMS, but I became curious and wanted to see if Spectrum could add two phone numbers to an iPhone 14 Pro. Have you heard if this is possible? Everyone I spoke to at Spectrum said no, so far. What was the APP you mentioned that may make this possible. Just got the 14 Pro yesterday and don't want to carry my 7 around until I change all vendors over to the number on the 14.
You can definitely have two numbers on one phone because I have had it for quite some time now. I upgraded to the 14 Pro and had issues with the eSIMS because Verizon need to activate on their side before it would work. Not sure who your carrier is but it can be dome. I can't set up the ringtones by phone number but you can set uo a contacts with different ringtones. For instance I can have my business users call me on one line and assign all of them the same ring tone. Hope this helps

Hi Brandon i have 2 14 pro max and i'm on public beta and despite enabling raw, i've noticed that all my shots are 36 MP instead of 48 MP ... i have weird resolutions like 8064x4536 despite shooting with the main lens at 1x it says 24mm aperture of 1.78 like yours, ISO 100 and the last difference is 1/50 sec i think it must be the shutter speed ... i dunno , but i'm starting to wonder if i got 2 14 pro max who have a 36 MP camera instead of a 48MP one ... ( inn the pro RAW options i have the 48 MP option enabled ) i'm starting to think something is weird... sometimes the camera will take shots who will weight around 50 to 80 mb and even when the info panel say 36 MP i have the 48 MP resolution which is 8064x6048. can someone test this on his/ her 14 pro or pro max and tell me if i am the only one ? thanks a lot.

@@isuregamealot7592 do not worry i did , but it has been fixed most of the time now it take 48 Mpx Pics, but sometimes it will take a 36 Mpx and it doesn't make much sense cos proRaw must be enabled in order to make pics above 12 Mpx... i do not often take ProRaw though but i think it is fixed on public beta but thx anyway ^^

I had a iPhone 12 in 256gb and upgraded to the deep purple 14 pro in 512gb. I believe it’s worth the upgrade for me and I will be keeping my phone for 3-4 years to come.
personally, i had a yellow iphone 11 with 128gb that i got in june 2020 and i upgraded last week to the 14 pro with 512gb in deep purple. i love my 11 so much and it’s my favorite phone i’ve ever had but 128gb wasn’t quite enough storage for me. that’s the only reason i upgraded. yes the 14 pro upgrade was worth it for me, i love the better camera and i’ll never run out of storage again but honestly if your 11 still works good for you and you’re good on storage i’d say wait for the 15 to upgrade.

You can swipe from the middle to get the notifications just don’t swipe the dynamic island swipe from the top of the screen.
