We're just rediscovering everything learned in Factorio at this point. When are we getting city blocks?
xD
Still sad that there is no map maintaining in create
I've built some city blocks. Wanna me to share schematics?
@@304nokia Yes, that would be great!
Never played factorio, who dis?
Create truly turns Minecraft into Factorio, I love it
me too! It's so much fun!
Love the trains of create to move stuff across big lengths of terrain but in the smaller setups if the game cant handle all the belts, why not use the vanilla ways of moving stuff? Watching the video I cant stop myself and think that this is minecraft at the end of the day and vanilla minecraft is still in the game!
People move stuff in vanilla minecraft in many ways; hoppers, minecarts, water streams, water columns, ice paths, shulkers, (or more technical ways like piston bolts and shulkers unloaders) all of these are used in massive amounts of items and they dont reduce fps or tps if managed correctly. All of this combined with the create machines could mean an even greater and faster way of doing stuff!
you are 100% right xD and would make some things a lot easier.
What's best is a combination of trains and belts, if you're using farms then spread out your farms and use trains to transport them to crafting area via trains those crafting areas won't be flooded constantly and won't need to transport items superfast so it's a good idea to use belts there as it makes processing easier.
i keep my belts per machine, the rest is trains, or just storage
Technically what's best is contraption hypertransfer using clocked funnels but that might be a bit much for the average Create player
@@razziel4599 yeah similar to what 6thscythe uses in his storage system
@@hex697 6thscythe's design uses normal contraption transfer, but yes. The base principles are quite similar.
@@razziel4599 No, it doesn't, his newest version uses rapid pulse.
Use Vaults like belts. They can input and output items instantly, effectively turning it into an item teleporter.
not a bad idea!
The problem is that vaults are expensive in the early and mid game
if you use portable storage interfaces, connected together with any block, and glued. with an inventory somewhere along the line (very important). you can essentially get item pipes. you just put down a mechanical piston, set it to the third setting so that it doesn't place unless the anchor is broken, and then put a crank and just press your mouse once. it will instantly transfer any item without the cost of vaults. Unless you use fluid pipes for the aesthetic like I do. but copper's easier to get anyway.
That's boring and not fun at all. Just play mekanism or whatever garbage
@@QTwoSixModded Minecraft players when overused shit tech mod is not like newer shit tech mod
the andesite gods always wants more
Will they ever have enough?
@@Spentaneousno
This is EXACTLY the tech I needed for my one-belt factory. I can't figure out a way to ensure all ingredients will eventually go by, but now I don't have to! Contraptions are the storage, the sorter, AND the belt!
they are so good!
Create Mod players just now discovering what Factoria players have known and been saying for years.
xD
Cool stuff with the trains. I'd love to see a compacted storage system using them; like an automatically sorted storage system with a train that drops off items when you tell it to, like a glorified shulker unloader
That's a great idea!
biggest reason not to use belts is i've had them break before along chunk borders when chunks were loading in extremely slowly during bad server lag. it causes a giant mess, and it's why i always chunk-align my machines as well in case it happens
xD I had that happen all the time in one server. down a chunk line you'd see half of the belts not spinning properly
I had that happen in my Create: Above and Beyond megabase, never using belts large scale again lol
alternatively: just do belts better, they can take stacks and accelerate instantly around 90 degree turns at whatever the maximum rotation speed is
When you put tunnels on belts, that's as fast as items can move across belts because of the time it takes for the tunnels to decide where to output the item moving through it
@@Spentaneous Don't use things that stop belts on the sushi lines then, there are many options for passive pickup of items. The ideal state of a normal belt is to be saturated end to end with items so resources are available and instantly restocked at every point, the ideal state of a sushi belt is to be recirculating at the highest possible speed for passive pickup to restock random machines it passes. Trains can achieve a similar concept at greater expense, and would be much better applied to long distance bulk transport with great distance between supply docks.
sure it's a little bulkier but trains can move a lot more a lot quicker even in small areas without any stress or strain on the server. that's why I say go for the trains all the way
@@Spentaneous Additional point: Many machines are exclusive / more effective with belt access such as the press and saw, for maximum efficiency in machines belts remain critical. It isn't in my best interest to demolish a vital element of appearance in factories either, trains being used as belts just don't look good in simple production lines due to the repeated loading and unloading necessary.
Great Video! I never would have thought to use trains for a sorting system like this.
Thanks! There's so many cool things we can do with the create mod!
another thing to improve belt speed and efficiency is using weighted ejectors that only launch items when at 64 stack, instead of having belts with clumps of like 13 items at a time
oooo that's a great idea!
but conveyors are much cheaper and you need a ton of train tracks anyways, i think it depends on the amount of items and the distance needed
you bring up a valid point. The trains do really help with lag and even short distance are more efficient at transporting large amounts of resources
I mean, there’s other methods of fixing belts such as making the Brass Funnels spit out a stack each so that way the belt can flow smoothly again
that's 100% true. My thought was that with trains, all those resources and more can be moved in the same amount of time now
ok i guess ill make one of the most expensive things in create to move my five pieces of sugarcane
yesss that's the spirit!
Why is this man a Hunky Create god,I think I'm falling 😍for his voice OMG how did I just find this guy i needed him in my earlierer in my life 😋. YIes i subscribed And everybody needs to or an its a unspeakable Crime not Subscribing.
This dude is underrated
Trains are really op they require no power are can do anything
they are 10/10
Psst.. You are not going to believe me but.. You can use vanilla hopper to transport items, no lags and it is much, much cheaper! You can also use water and ice, droppers and much more! You will find out it much easier to craft and your FPS will be back to normal. You don't have to stick just to the mod. Actually, you can mix different techniques and methods to achieve the best result.
I have never tried ice before. I'll have to give that a shot! thank you for the tips!
Trains are still the coolest option, they travel through unloaded chunks, you could for example have someone afk in a farm while someone is at the base and a single train with humongous storage capacities would be transferring hundreds of thousands of items at once.
hoppers only transport one item at a time, and they live by that.
What would droppers be useful for?
Hoppers are one of the laggiest vanilla blocks, so having a line of them that substitutes one belt would probably have about the same performance impact x)
MORE CREATE
it's so good!
The way you pronounce "resource" makes me want to invite a creeper to an intimate dinner, but I do love your energy and information. ❤
Ha ha ha that's too funny
Thing is tho that Trains need Train Tracks, Train Casing, Train Stations, Train Controls, Containers, Storage Interfaces, and Super Glue (PLUS a conductor + Train Schedule to automate it) to work as item transportation, vers. Belts only need Dried Kelp and rotational force. Which one is more cost effective, you tell me.
Belts are more cost effective for sure. But once it's all automated it feels like it costs the same. Although trains are significantly cheaper in terms of stress on the server
Factorio and Mindustry: Look What They Need to Mimic a Fraction of Our Power.
Lol create is basically the minecraft version of factorio and Mindustry except you can customize your farms and get addons for it
How about useing minecart contraption (huge vault moved by a simple minecart) for item transport? The logic would be more complex probably but i belive they are lag friendlyer
that's a really cool idea!
Want a fun, easy alternative to belts? Just use the endgame Train, which requires entering the nether and picking up obsidian
xD it's not too bad. just gotta run in and grab a blaze and your good to go
*item drains crying in the corner*
XD
Just like in real life trains are the best way to transport things
and lots of fun!
Belts? Now I’m thinking of Satisfactory, lol
xD it really feels like satisfactory meets minecraft
@@Spentaneous no joke I finally opened back up Satisfactory today after watching this video…
I’ve never actually played a server with Create… but you’ve gotten my attention, XD!
one of these days I should delve back into satisfsctory as well. there's so many new cool things in it
@@Spentaneous it really is a nice, fun game… the hard part is staying organized once things start to become large scale. I mean Satisfactory calculator helps a little bit but even then some of the tree diagrams I’ve made with it become MASSIVE and planning becomes super difficult at that point.
@@SonicDRJ ya im a spaghetti monster when it comes to that game
You COULD do this OR you COULD just get a better PC
xD I feel like upgrading the pc is a little more expensive of an option
If you use ae2, you never have to worry about this ever again, but you literally need to study it.
ae2 is my all time favorite mod
You said no mechanical power but what does the saw need? Train power?
while on the train it just cuts automatically
This is a really helpful tip. I really want to spend more time on trains and somehow I couldn't decide what to use them for. This is a very clear use; simply replace conveyors anywhere I can and I open up all sorts of wacky designs and emergent gameplay.
it really changes things up! xD
well, not ANYWHERE you can.
I still use hoppers to transport things unless im going for aesthetics or actually need the belt to do something a hopper cant.
Hoppers are still awesome xD
So long ago since u posted and ur still replying😭 dedicated great work!
xD thanks! I'm still working on stuff! I've got another cinematic video like the Ablockalypse one in the works but this time it's more like a movie! Super excited to be sharing that when its finished!
for me its best to just build a factory some chunks away from my farm and connect it with trains cause if the chunks are not loaded i wont produce any overflow an d my belts wont be on 24/7
XD that is fair
I don't build on a scale of this grandiosity, so i still use belts for small-scale transportation
that is totally fair. belts can still be super awesome!
Yeah so what your basically saying is... well common sense.. don't use belts for long distance. Basically anyone with common sense would know if you need to transfer over long distances use something like a train that can haul massive amounts over long distances. Belts are never efficent over long distances.
however your example around 2:22
is also just as inefficent. You're wasting stacks and stacks of iron and other resources to make those tracks, let alone the trains for such minimal distance, PLUS the trains in that example never reach top speed, so while you can say its "most efficent" thats not really a high margin.
I don't know if I'd call it wasting resources though since we csn just make Infinite xD
yes but i want an industrial hellscape looking mess of a spaghetti build
xD then keep on caryin on
create is not meant for efficiency, rather it's more for actual fun. You making this video means you play Create the wrong.
lol isn't minecraft meant to be played all sorts of ways? your thinking about my experience of minecraft wrong :P
I really hope the blackbars are bcs of ultrawide monitor, but still, as creator you should learn to get rid of them, annoying.
there are no black bars when I watch it. the youtube player should auto scale to the 2560x1080 resoultion. What were you watching it on?
The reason why your belts are so inneffective for large unsorted quantities of items is because you don't have a main bus ;p
lolol
Genius
There is a reason why mr. Beard stones world is so effective and so pretty
XD it makes a huge difference
the modded mc to factorio pipeline grows ever more
it's so cool!
Are you playing on ultrawide? This is a weird aspect ratio
xD a few people have said that now. And yeah it is ultrawide
But conveyors are very beautifull!
They are!
Simple fix use 256 speed belts 😂😂😂😂😂
xD
the only issue is can make ultra compact builds with trains
that is true. ultra compact would be more of a challenge
you a legend is no link to cobble gen and why are you left discord server
fixed! it's in there now. thank you!
I left cause I kept getting harassed with DM's xD
@@Spentaneous a ok
vaults work good too they do it instantaneously and you can sort the output too using funnels. its more of a midgame solution so maybe a bit easier than a train
yeah! they are super awesome!
@@Spentaneous oh wow ive been replied to
Yay
also yeah very cheap just 2 iron sheet and barrel
But... Conveyor belts are cool
xD they really are
Trains are much more efficient yes, but belts are dirt cheap.
so are trains once you can autocratic them from resources you auto generate
@@Spentaneous oh yeah i didn't think about that

i thought using trains was obvious, they were pratically made for long item transportation.
xD glad to see someone else feels the same way!
3D factorio
it really does feel that way!
I never have used ejectors. the who flinging thing is buggy for me.. But yeah trains seems cool
oof that doesnt sound fun with it being buggy
Create ModPlay?
I'm not sure what that is
I really like the video, but music is a little too loud and I can't concentrate on what you are saying
thanks! I appreciate the feedback!
I gotten addicted with only two mods that need to be up to date along with a store mod
I may look into making a mod where you open a shop near a village and your able to obtain money or emeralds or something and part of the mod will have a pc to go into and buy things online like resources and or parts of added mods
Like the robotic limbs mod you have to find the screen for the robo surgen chamber to work why not buy it with this mod I'm thinking
Also I love to make factory's
construct alone I got mods to make armor and such and would like to make it where items on belts after they are casted and stored
Maybe for construct there should be auto forges so it put the fed items in
Idk I was making an auto armory to sell goods to villagers or just for me
thats so cool!
Inb4 trains require a fuel source to move lol but all it would really require is a tree farm feeding into a charcoal processor that feeds into a refueling station
xD did they change it in a latest update?
@@Spentaneous Not yet haha afaik having fuel only just increases their movement speed as opposed to being a requirement, but it may very well happen if the Create team feels like Trains are too OP, just like they did with the lava pump trick.
@@w00tyd00d xD ya the lava pump fix broke a few of my "get everything for free" builds
For me its kinda sad, that they did that. This Machine was the only way to get good Amount of Cobble without the need of a Huge laggy Cobblestone Drill setup. I think i will stick to the one block cobble gens of other mods in the future.@@Spentaneous
Would you be willing to share the super flat world you use in the video? I'd be a great help, since I'm finding trains a little hard to understand at the moment. :)
I dont have the world unfortunately anymore
@@Spentaneous aww, too bad
I think this setup would look better using monorails, since those are meant to float in the air.
duuude that would be so cool
The issue is when making a compact factory they’re waaaay too bulky
ha ha that is true. trains would make for a bulky factory. or lots of tiny ones all over the place depending on how you set it up
Okay, Traintology look fun :>
I think so to!
porfa sube el mapa
unfortunately it's from an smp and we can't share it.
@@Spentaneous puedes hacer un tuto para un tren de movimiento perpetuo?
ok but belt with item look funky
funky indeed
if ur not using water streams with ice and launchers, ur genuinely doing it wrong in most cases .... unless ur in a server with autoclear or a mod that autoclears theres no reason not to like its objectively better
ive been building with create for yrs, and i ONLY use belts in very niche cases where i need to transfer power somewhere weird .... i cant even remember the last time ive used them for any item transfers. like a water stream with packed (and ESPECIALLY blue ice) is even quicker than belts unless ur cranking near max speed to them which eats power
u can use the weakest power source imaginable on the launcher as long as its just quick enough, and the water is free and exponentially less laggy. the scalability is pretty much infinite
similar to how old waterwheels were with soul sand, u can also just use them completely with little to no ice and later just add it in to make it more seamless and quick
its even objectively easier to build a full on filtering storage system, just have water looping around that runs over smart chutes with filters. bam. it just works like skyrim.
I'll have to try that out! I've never used ice before
Trains are cool, but later game. Until then, you need belts.
ha ha ya trains are not possible early game
I like Trains.
Choo Choo!
How do you put items into a train with the portable storage interface
you need a portable interface on the train and wherever the train stops, have another that faces into it. They need 1 or 2 blocks of space inbetween them. if the blocks are touching, they wont work. You will know it works when the train stops at the station and the portable interface connecters extend out and touch each other. sometimes when first placing them, you need to move the train backwards and then back onto its station before they will connect.
@@Spentaneous whenever I do that it takes items from the train
@@wishifil it all depends on how things are connected to the portable interface that is connecting to the train. if items are pulled out of the portable interface they will be removed from the train. And if items are put into the portable interface, they will be put into the train.
@@Spentaneous how do I change it
@@wishifil You cant change how the portable interface works. What I do is I have seperate stations for loading and unloading. So when a train stops at one station, i have belts and chutes going into the portable storage interface. And then I have another station where i want the resources to go to and i have chutes and funnels that pull items out of the portable storage interface.
If you want to put things into the train at a station and pull out specific items at that station, you can use smart chutes or smart filters and apply filters to those so that only specific items are pulled out of the train.
Hi!
hello!
They need to do track electrification
what would that do
@@Spentaneous to balance it. Currently trains don't interact with any other economic systems at all. Or they could do vaccum rail (you should look that up, it is hilarious).
Basically, the three major problems are a lack of dependable solutions for resource gathering (like nodes or whatever), some kind of power for rails, and functional utility blocks in constructs.
Its good but it stop the create mech feel that everyone want
