That moment when a “street circuit” is not on streets and is just a mediocre race track in a parking lot
I think they tried that before in vegas
@@shamsuddinkamalwala1176yup, Caesars Palace. It was a disaster to say the least
Well it’s the most Florida thing ever. We love racing on parking lots here. Some of my favorite tracks are now literal parking lots for rental cars and storage
*we also love abandoned neighborhoods and airports
Right cause your obviously from Miami or went last year
The USA only has 90° turns and straight lines... it's the best they could
imagine Spa being thrown of the calendar because it can't fund it , but tracks like this are on the calendar...
spa being thrown out could anger the core fanbase. Why cant liberty fund it instead, like they do with vegas? oh wait, clout chasers
The Miami race is promoted by FOM, so there is no sanctioning fee unlike Spa. Events like Melbourne still pay a $35m USD sanctioning fee (more than Spa's $20m USD), of which $15m AUD is subsidised by the state government. It seems that FOM are hedging their bets on whether Spa or Kyalami can offer more money for them, before deciding on which race of the two to put on the calendar. Such greed from FOM is unfortunate, of course.
"Sell their families to be able to even get general admission tickets"
Josh killing me at the start itself 😂
He ain’t wrong. I live in the U.S. Those tickets are crazy high💀
Right now, you can buy tickets with 40 per cent discount. So, right now... I think we just have to sell one of our kidneys. The rest of our families are saved, horray!
@@sqweeps.03 I hate that the way things have gone recently, insane prices are feeling increasingly normal. I work in conventions and just seeing the spikes of prices both from the organizational and attendee-facing sides, it's crazy. Conventions are charging $70-80 for a single day when they were ~$50 not long ago, and some of the centers, which originally weren't cheap, have become so high-priced that major events have left rather than spike their prices to attendees (things such as increasing costs by over 40% on the back end for the exact same things literally because "well, you haven't been able to be here, so we have to make the money back somehow" is ludicrous)
Funny thing is it's not even fully sold out, huge marketing campaign of emails & even calls to sell tickets this week, had several stands listed on official F1 site until yesterday with loads still available 2nd market at much cheaper prices than last year. Who wants to sit in swampy 40c temps in the sun all day?
Surprisingly I was able to get Friday marina tickets for around 60, and Saturday for around 140. Sunday though, Sunday was still high
With the reduced DRS zone this year, it’s gonna be a snooze fest of a race!
Even more of a snoozefest then it was last year
@@60103FlyingScotsman Then its good, that the start time is too late for me to watch it.
Some weather forecasts are suggesting a race day thunderstorm. Maybe that'll provide a curveball
@@60103FlyingScotsman It wasn't that bad, much better than Baku, and ... the drivers even liked it.
The problem now isn't the race courses, it's the dominance of one team, as people always complain about, regardless of which team that is.
They should allot each driver two minutes of DRS, to be used whenever they like, to pass or to defend.
@@chlcrk nah they'll just cancel the race
"They added 3000 seats." Let me draw your attention to Zandvoort, back on the F1 calendar in 2021 after 40+ years of absence. Because of covid restrictions, they 'only' admitted 70.000 people. 2022, the restrictions had been lifted, it was flat sold out for the 105.000 people allowed onto the grounds. If Zandvoort can sell 35.000 extra tickets, Miami should have no problems selling 3000 extra.
There are 2 things here. Ticket pricing and also that for the $$ this year they also have Las Vegas, which granted is a much more fun city than Miami. And if you want a proper race with a circuit there is COTA which is an awesome experience and has been selling out consistently and the prices are more manageable. All that said F1 is expensive in the US.
There is a massive difference between the Netherlands and Miami though. The 2 time defending world driver's champion is Dutch.
@@MarianoLu Maybe, but that just proves the point that tickets are way too expensive in Miami, doesn't it?
I think Melbourne this year sold nearly haf a billion tickets to the weekend. Miami can just bugger off.
@@SRFriso94 that's the first thing I noticed. COTA seems like the best value
The funniest thing about the noise complaints is that, the circuit is right next to a like 10 lane highway, thats a lot more noise every day of the year instead of a one weekend event.
American city design lmao
It's just to find a point that is assailable. If everything is to be logical, we wouldn't be sitting here wondering why we still don't have a German GP.
@@jkliao6486 There's no wondering, they cut Hockenheim's balls off so everyone stopped turning up to watch.
@@fix0the0spade The German drivers stopped winning races and miraculously everyone stopped showing up. It's like English F1 commentators moaning back in the early 2000s when there were "only" 2-3 British drivers and none of them were winning.
@@n8pls543 That doesn't really hold true, the numbers fell sharply after Hockenheim was modified. Michael was still winning then, then Vettel and Rosberg came along after. Numbers dropped because Hockenheim was all about those long straights and the jeopardy of who will and won't blow an engine. Take that away and it's just another Tilkedrome.
The Porsches racing during the same event were louder than the F1 cars
Something I noticed this year as a Miami local is that there was almost 0 advertising for the race. Last year I was getting ads every single day leading up to it. This year nothing. My friends and family noticed the same too
Ya ppl complained about jt
Its the complete opposite for me, i live close to the hard rock and race track, there so many f1 ads and posters and a lot of people wearing f1 shirts, it was more than last year so idk, maybe the marketing budget got smaller.
We have heard that Miami ticket sales is only at 65%. Also ticket resellers can’t clear their tickets also, and prices still dropping. You can go to the race and be right across from the start line for under $150 USD right now
There's been huge marketing campaign of emails & even phone calls from promoters desperately selling final tickets this week. Hilarious compared to last years hype
Still way too high. GA ticket in Imola (with way more support races) is 90€
I've said it several times since this was announced
Indianapolis is *right* there, sure I have a lot of hometown bias and try to block out 2005 as much as I can, but come on it is *the* racetrack in America. I'd kill to see F1 cars back at the Speedway.
Indianapolis is not F1 marketable, thats the problem. Yes, they did races back in the early 2000s, but the current F1 marketing strategy to play into the "lifestyles of the rich and famous" look. Indy is in the middle of the Midwest, and the track itself is in the suburbs.
I'll take Indianapolis and even Laguna Seca than any new street circuit
@@fjsolossa29 F1 would never be able to race at Laguna Seca or pretty much any other road course in the US. It would take too much work to get them up to the proper safety standards F1 requires
@@fjsolossa29 I do think Indianapolis would be possible though
@@YEEYEE-dy8tk Yeah that's true. If only we could one day have a real race on a real track. Oh wait we have COTA.
Here's a comparison.
I paid $150 for TWO GRANDSTAND TICKETS at Turn 2 for the Indianapolis 500. The view was AMAZING and it was the greatest experience ever!!!
I paid the same amount of money for quali in Saudi this year, only the quali...did I get ripped off?

@@ErikZarins goddamit, there goes my money :(

Close to price of COTA in 2019, then covid and drive to survive happened...
The developing global recession is starting to (unsurprisingly) have an impact on F1 ticket sales. Though I agree the ticket prices for Miami are ridiculously high.
And Vegas isn't going to be any less ourageous. COTA is the best of the 3 current American racetracks, and if Vegas and Miami stop COTA from becoming any more of a spectacle than it already is, that might be a good thing for the F1 scene in America. The 'influencers' can clog up Miami and Vegas like they do at Monaco, just leave COTA for actual F1 fans.
$650 for a GA shocked me... then I remember that when the proposed F1 race in New Jersey was floated, my friend was expecting GA here to be $350. Add in the fact that it's about 10 years later, the recession cranking up prices on everything, and the fact that it IS still basically in Miami, as opposed to on city streets of another state than the city it'd probably be linked to... it doesn't feel as high anymore. Like if it was $550, I would've just gone "Hmmm... yeah, sounds about right".
But now they're jacking up prices AGAIN? Yeah, this is gonna start turning into Super Bowl levels of pain soon.
@@jedknight4389 COTA is a hoot. I love it. Height differences, multiple racing lines, great atmosphere…
Greetings from 🇳🇱
You're all looking at it wrong. That would totally help the authenticity of a GP in the US. Sprinkle some tents and muttering homeless people around the track.
@@jedknight4389 I love COTA, but how can you argue it's better than a circuit that nobody has even raced on yet?
The Miami GP, while a great experience to get my first in person race weekend, was honestly a horrible time.
Not enough water to go around, and the water that WAS there you'd have to walk forever in the blistering sun to get to.
I wish this race would be moved to October, where the climate, while still hot, is at least manageable.
That and the pathways in and out of the circuit were horrible! They need to figure out a way to get the foot traffic in and out much better. But we were lucky, we didn't have to buy our tickets cause some friends had extras. But yeah the logistics of being a fan at the track were far from good. Still an awesome first in person experience. It is nice having a local F1 race!
You want to hold a race at the NFL stadium, during the NFL season? Yeah I don't think would go over well.
Ah the wonderful climate of flordia
@@Sailman202 Also smack in the middle of Hurricane season
Yea they really picked the worst time of year to hold this race in FLORIDA, Florida only has a handful of cool days a year, the rest of the year is summer. I'm from FL and I can tell you that South FL doesn't participate in winter temperatures.
Miami local here, I went to the race last year. Purchased 4-day grandstands in the Marina through F1 experiences.
I enjoyed the race and the amenities, however, it was definitely a one and done ordeal for me. I spent $2k for each ticket. It was just a once in a life time experience to go a debut race in my hometown so I bit the cost.
Did I have fun? Very much so. Will I go again to a Miami race? No.
There’s just a lot more that proper circuit can offer, as well as having a genuine crowd, most of those in attendance were just there for the hype.
How'd you find the organization? I was in Monza last year and it was a shit show
The ticket broker I spoke to told that Monza organisation is one of the worst on the calendar. It is better to get general admission for there. I went to Saudi GP in March and I was so shocked at the organisation, it was perfect, no long queues, free water and concerts after the race. 3 day main grandstand tickets with parking included cost me £300
@@IshyD2K9Blad damn that's good although I'm in Ireland so Saudi is a big trip for me haha
I love how many CART/IndyCar events are just “we lost (insert other series here) and IndyCar stepped in”
Same with 80s and 90s IMSA and Trans Am, hell the Grand Prix de Trois Rivieres only exists today because NASCAR bought CASCAR and brought the V8s to the Three Rivers.
I understand the importance of celebrities, glamor, etc to F1, and have tended to laugh at fans that complain about it. With all the talk of new fans and venues one thing that NEVER comes up is the actual racing. At its core F1 really is just entertainment, but it’s always been a Motorsport that is a useful tool for marketing. It’s starting to feel now like F1 is a marketing tool that happens to have Motorsport.
Well said. 2021 season was incredible because we actually had racing to watch in F1 and that was weird.
Idk about you but F1 is going downhill despite the exposure of DTS
@@QF_Dan72 the exposure of DTS is precisely the reason it's going down.
I dont think any actual f1 fan actually likes dts
What is the importance of celebrities in F1 ? Whenever i see any of them i skip over and only listen to the real celebrities - the drivers, and everyone on their team.
4:40 That's just MONACO! Miami-co! Speaking of, I feel that Liberty want to make Miami the new Monaco and shove Monte Carlo into history.
Except the only reason why anyone cares about Monaco is history and legacy. Fake American glitz and glamour doesn't make up for that.
@@areebsiddiqui758 But most people don't care about Monaco. It's just an excuse for business deals and a way for Monaco to pull in tourism dollars from ultra-wealthy. It stopped being a race in the 90s. Now it's just a glorified time trial. Say waht you will about Miami, but by default it has to produce better racing than Monaco because the cars literally don't fit on the streets of Monaco anymore.
@@simracing4simpletons978 While what you say about Monaco is true, at least you get the vistas and the tight corners and, as areebsddiqui758 said, the history. Not the goddamn parking lot of a stadium with yachts on fake water for crying out loud. This whole Liberty era has been a boon for the sport but has really taken a bit of the soul out of it.
@@simracing4simpletons978 nah Monaco has it’s fans. I like it. It’s an anomaly, has history and looks cool having F1 cars drive around downtown like that.
Thing is that Monaco has earned that anomaly and needs to stay that way. These other street circuits to challenge it ruin it. Street circuits generally suck, and I rather have more tracks challenge Silverstone, Spa or Suzuka.
I don’t see how people think that Miami is what they trying to replace Monaco with. Bernie was pretty open that he wanted Singapore to replace it. And I think Liberty want Vegas to replace it.
Personally F1 as a brand needs Ferrari, Silverstone, Monza and Monaco as a constant at all cost. I get the recent sentiment behind Suzuka, Spa and Interlagos. Not sure why some new fans want to totally get rid of the History part. I’m totally down for the Netflix stuff, social media part and new places to race, that aren’t in the Middle East. I get 1 or 2 Middle East races, but 4? It’s too out of the way for most fans.
At least in Monaco the marina isn't fake.
People who could afford are primarily there for clout (proceeds to insert clip of James Cordon) XDDDDD Everybody Liked That.
0:41 “Don’t think that the Miami grand prix and everything about it was perfect”
Damn i … never thought that, at all
What will be interesting for future races is that the Brightline High Speed railroad will be running to Orlando. It will be interesting to see if this will have an impact on attendance
I attended the Saturday in 2022, and after having been to COTA twice, I can tell you the ONLY thing making this race less attractive is the pricing. The venue is way more prepared for mass population events (being it’s taking place on the grounds of a stadium that also hosts mass population events). The food pricing was not extraordinary (think your average stadium pricing) and I was in a grandstand going into pit entrance. Each grandstand had a fan zone that had fire rescue/paramedics, fan experiences, and water stations (which COTA never had!) all in all, it is an experience. But it is expensive. I enjoyed it when I went
That's actually good to hear, at least the fans had fun
@@JoshuaC923 it was a good overall experience, but I also went for free so I really didn’t feel the pressure of doing everything in my power to justify the expense, I just went and took my time and did my own thing.
@@390razr oh i see!
We need 2 lists of circuits. Fan circuits and corporate ones. In Montreal grandstand tickets cost A LOT but during every session except the race we could sit wherever we wanted, check out the action from different angles and we could bring in a cooler bag with drinks and food although the food and drink prices weren't that bad. After the race everyone walks the track and while some people run to the podium the rest of the people just walk around one direction or the other for fun. I didn't mind spending the money because it was a great time and they weren't dumping out my water bottles or money gouging me at every opportunity.
Damn... 2 videos in 2 days .. guess we won't see you till after summer break now 😉
Love your reference on Kai Tak airport. Absolutely missing it.
But I don’t get this why he use Kai Tak and used for what?
If he are told Miami GP are overestimate the audience, they should use Chek Lap Kok instead…
I live less than 2 hours from this race, and its more cost effective for me to fly to Austin for the USGP than it is for me to go to the Miami GP, even if I drove back home every day to save money on hotels.
Hell, it'd almost be more cost effective for you to fly to one of the European races...

That's a crazy deal
Fun fact: The Homestead Miami Speedway’s street address is One Ralph Sanchez. I’ve always wondered who he was but never had bothered to look it up even after many trips to the track lol.
Love the history n info in this one Josh, especially of the indy car footage. Brings back childhood memories of when i saw those waterfront downtown races as a kid! Still remember riding on the elavated people mover and looking down in awe at the cars screaming by below!
If you rotate the layout of the track 180 degrees, It looks like a 🐊

It looks like someone sat on Interlagos.
@@scsutton1 it's a Miami thing, you wouldn't understand 🤪
Forget Miami, what about Kyalami? Bring it back here!
I attended last year and definitely spent way more than I needed to. On two grandstand tickets plus travel and stay I ended up spending a little over 7k lol. An awesome experience but there's a reason why I'm not going again this year lol
"Straight as the approach to Kai Tak Airport" 😂😂
Im stealing that one. Superb.
Another key thing is that Miami dolphins owner Stephen Ross was another key party looking to buy F1 in 2015 competing against liberty, it's long been rumoured that a sideline deal was agreed for race around hard rock stadium as Miami beach was never viable. It's turned into a huge money maker for him by not pushing up price of F1up further in his bidding war. Also it's a 10 year deal which says a lot as they've always been rare af when it was signed.
I'm not sure if you forgot about this but in between all of this was the Homestead Miami Speedway which opened in 1995. It was the host to many events incuding the Indycar series, NASCAR, the FIA GT Championship, the F4 US Championship, and the Trans Am Series. It started out as a 1.5 mile clone of Indianapolis but was eventually reconfigured into an oval shape and its banking was increased to 20 degrees.

As someone who is born and raised in Miami it’s great to have a race that us Floridians can go to especially now we have Logan on the grid. But it seems to be such a money grab from F1 promoters charging ridiculous prices for average seats. I know many people bought tickets thinking they could resell them because last year the tickets sold out very quickly. But that’s ruined the market for actual F1 fans it’s a normal race just as any other but just because it’s in Miami doesn’t mean it should be as expensive or more expensive then races like Monaco. It’s a soulless race but I believe could be changed by Lessening the dependence on all the extremely expensive viewing experiences.

Just throwin out banger after banger of videos Josh, thanks!!!
I'm dreading the race on sunday. I worry it's gonna be a snooze-fest.
I think the tv directors are just gonna be really bad so we wont see anything
Then don't watch, I know I won't.
Yea, we all know who's gonna win in a street track.
it will be
yeah you’re not alone. I just don’t want to stay awake until 8 am to watch a race and then have the best (well, worst) highlight be a car almost running over a dozen photographers again
Just recently went to the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. $184 for Grandstand Reserved Seating the entire 3 day weekend. Indycar, IMSA, Historic F1 cars, Porsche GT3 Cup, Stadium Super Trucks and Formula Drift. Much more bang for your buck.
As a seasoned F1 fan I do call Aston Martin "Aston Martin" since Lawrencel is the boss of Aston Martin roadcars as well.
But I do still call Alpine Renault, Alpha Tauri Torro Rosso and I will absolutely continue to call Alfa Romeo Sauber
As a person who was at practice yesterday I can confirm that there was so many people there yesterday way too many for Friday. Everybody thought it was Reese day because it was over 150,000 people for a practice session compared to last year. It was nothing.

This is why COTA is special in the US. Real track for real racing. None of this parking lot bs.
VIR too, hell even the purpose built circuits in Canada (such as Calabogie and Shannonville, which might I add if flatter than most airports) provide great racing.

Apparently Las Vegas tickets are more. GA tickets sell out quickly as the hotels (notably the ones owned by MGM) get the dibs on tickets and put them into a package deal. I don't know what will happen but if the FiA follows the same system as FIFA you're name will be married to your ticket. You'll still be able to resell it at a cost for transferring but places like StubHub and local last minute ticket sellers along The Strip will lose out. Don't get me wrong Vegas will do well (regrettably) as it has firmly established itself as a Sports Mecca: NFL, NHL, NASCAR, F1, and soon to be MLB. Of course there are the additional events held at T-Mobile Arena (like UFC). In November NHL and NFL are going on. Couple that with F1 that weekend, well, it would be insane.
My two cousins went last year and are avid motorsports fans. NASCAR, Indycar, IMSA, you name it, they've been to many races for each. From a racing standpoint, they said it was lackluster but as for the experience, they said it was something they had never experienced. Called it "a massive party with a giant racetrack attached to it." Seems like it would be fun to go to once, but from a racing standpoint, I'd much rather go to other tracks. Hopefully, this year will be much better for racing.
Thats why they didnt go to other permanent tracks. They wanted to add thier hype, parties, and experiences.
Vegas is just vegas, no reason to make an interest track the place sells itself
looking forward to an Entertaining grid walk and that's about it
As a person living in hk, I didn’t expect the Kai Tak Airport is used as an example 😂
But I don’t get this why he use Kai Tak as example?
They should use Chek Lap Kok as example as they are same as overestimate the amount of audiences/flights… (Chek Lap Kok made third runway as they predicted runway capacity of the airport will over that but they are wrong right now…)
There is not one single aspect of the Miami weekend that appeals to me.
he has a direct line to my funny bone "you want a grand stand ticket? forget about that bruh"
For a racing fan living in the southern US, attending the Bathurst 1000 seems more affordable
i still can't get over the fact that the gardeners said that the f1 cars would cause HEARING LOSS. goes to show those people had literally no idea what they were talking about, just heard "cars?? going fast??" and had their narrative
The big concern I've had, even when they first mooted the idea of a race in Miami, was the risk of the sport making the same mistakes as they did when it previously tried to expand in the US in the 1980's. With where they eventually decided to stage the race, in the car park of Hard Rock Stadium, with a track surface that breaks up more quickly than any of the late James Hunt's marriages, overly inflated prices and naff touches like the fake marina seems to reflect more on where they would have wanted to stage the race, rather than the less then glamorous location they are stuck with.
What's more, turns 12 to 15 give a glimpse as to its true colours, a car park with the tight, micky mouse section that is only ever single file, making the resulting straight even harder to even think about making an overtake
“For us, however, the peasants…” that killed me
I'm 38, so 3 decades following F1. I've seen the sport embaress itself chasing a US audience before, I'm sure I will again.
Also, the intro has made me want to go and play GTA Vice City and watch Scarface. Miami has a vibe.
I remember the protests against the race and seeing people against it because of "air pollution." There is an international airport and almost as many power boats as cocaine users in that city. Miami is great but if I am going to spend money on a race in the US, I'm going to Austin.
That is why I hate people, especially the stupid ones.
Best part of the several-thousand-dollars per-ticket-yachts is food and drink are NOT included.

Classic F1 cashgrab. I expect that the race in Las Vegas will be just as bad. They are over eager to get more races in the US, and only have their eye on the money. Not caring about quality, it will probably kill F1 in the US all over again. They should have gotten a proper track up to code. It would have been so much better!
The prices for Las Vegas are even more ridiculous. Take a look at that bs. Crazy. I work 60+hours a week and have always watched F1, live in the US, and can't afford to go to any of our events. It sucks!

i agree wholeheartedly with Lewis's remark about drivers not getting consulted but he's wrong. He's driven on a track designed by racing drivers. The current Albert Park layout was designed by Mark Scaife, multiple winner of the supercars championship. But it stands still that if supercars is smart enough to listen to drivers, why isn't F1?

while the ticket prices in miami are high, it's quickly becoming the most affordable and most enjoyable race to go to in the states. ticket prices at the 2023 USGP are up nearly 50% compared to 2021, and because of COTA's location you're forced to fly into one major airport and stay in downtown austin at 3-4x hotel or airbnb rates and take a $150 shuttle that last year took 2+ hours of waiting in line just to board a bus to the track on race day. in contrast, the miami GP is situated in the middle of two major airports and several major south florida towns with plenty of accommodation, all easily accessible to the track via free shuttles that rarely have any wait times. while the on track action might not be as exciting, the overall race weekend experience in miami is certainly worth the (only slightly this year) higher price tags.
Still waiting for ticket prices to go down so I can fuckin go to the race
I live a days drive from Vegas, was so excited when I saw they were getting a GP, that was until the prices came out. It’d be cheaper for me to drive for days out to Austin, and those tickets are already decently expensive
Ngl, I love the F1 car shrub.

I get horrible feeling that the organisers would rather cancel the race all together than drop the prices. hope I'm wrong tho, even if the track sucks, Miami is vibes.
My group that I’ve been talking with decided it’s way over priced this years was going to be $1,500-$2,000 for the same exact seats. We are hoping however that 2024 will be back to normal and hopefully cheaper

Remember when Indycar attempted to have a street race in Boston, and how that whole thing fell apart before it could even happen? That was a mess and a half.
That shit doesn’t happen in Long Beach . I’ve never heard someone complain.
After all the corona crisis, selling the family only gets me half way :(
Why not do a race in one of the Nascar inside tracks? Similar to what they did on Indianapolis but in Charlotte, for example
What’s a bummer to me is we live relatively nearby and passes were so expensive we never had a chance to go. Why have 3 in the US if only the same rich people can afford to go to the 3 races not locals?
that kai tak airport reference is niche lmao

I called the issues with the Miami GP when I heard the ticket prices... I just didn't expect them this soon. Miami is far away for the majority of Americans so it's expensive to travel and the tickets are expensive. It makes the Austin GP look cheap. In a recession can the Miami GP really afford itself to rely on only rich Americans to support it. I can get a ticket for every race in the IndyCar season for the price of a cheap grandstand Miami GP ticket.

honestly i enjoy driving most of the circuit on a sim (aside from that shit before the backstraight), but i agree with the majority that the racing around Miami last year was abysmal. and when there was action we barely saw any because the cameras were too busy panning the crowds of people in the stands
Not gonna talk about the vid, since, yknow, it's Miami, but instead Imma say I'm happy every time Josh makes an aviation reference :)
Jokes aside, great vid.
There's plenty of motorsport fans in America that may be interested in this new F1 era, but they decided to target the "glamorous idgaf about racing fans". Just imagine a proper track with hundreds of thousands of fans and regular ticket prices, a dream. Pretty much a COTA 2.0, but they decided to go the celebrity route

oooh new T shirt "Can you afraud it?" tee hee
Just race on Daytona and force the teams to deal with the banking lol
Vegas GP will require to sell a generation
1:33 Ah yes, the International Marijuana Smugglers Association
I think they should get rid of Miami and replace it with Daytona or Indianapolis
Open wheel cars don’t race at Daytona
@@YEEYEE-dy8tk there’s a alternate circuit layout search up 24 hour Daytona
@@oyzsx I’m familiar with it but I don’t think a single seater series has ever raced there
F1 treats the Midwest the same way the government does, there may be people there, but they’re not rich enough for us to care. Even tho the Indy road course would be perfect instead of Miami or Vegas. And Indy has 235,000 seats that can see the whole track.
I hate how everyone in F1 is hyping it up. No one is excited. As a Canadian, I always knew that everyone wanted the USA in F1. Big mistake because they got America instead and it’s going to push fans away

Area 27 Circuit. Designed by Jacques Villneuve and one amazing track!
02:23 - You take the good *_WITH_* the bad, not from the bad.
09:04 - Whether this meets the same *_FATE,_* not whether it meets the same face.
Yes your are correct re your first comment but unfortunately in the grand scheme of things it’s a bit nitpicking don’t you think Phil
Actually if you listen carefully to the second point you make, Josh said FATE not Face. It’s his kiwi accent
Factoring in price of flight+hotel+tickets it just gets so damn expensive. Maybe I’ll go one year though, seems like a good time
I went to the first Miami GP last year and I paid $500 to stand around without shade and water being sold for prices that should be criminal. I felt like I had been ripped off. This year, seats were also in the thousands and it just made no sense to go, with kids and inflation, who can afford to just throw money like that away.
Its not a good thing for Miami when:
A. The first thing that comes to mind is the fake Marina
B. I'd personally rather go to Austin
And C. For the price of GA, i could go to 2 or 3 NASCAR or Indy races instead
Tickets down to $350 for the weekend this week which is cool. Hopefully that becomes the average if not lower
