Micah Lall-Trail its literally just a microphone, they dont change the sound at all, just make it so he can keep playing it that beautiful dynamic and have the whole crowd hear in the massive stadium Edit: the reason you could have quieter unmic’d solo’s then but not now is dci is in a much larger, indoor stadium, compared to a smaller outdoor stadium, and i dont know if you’ve ever performed there but it sucks up sound

There's only been a couple moments in my life when I've stared and smiled at something with tears running down my face thinking to myself "this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," and this is one of those moments. Great work SCV, I'm impressed.
I don't know why but everytime I watch SCV it's as if I'm watching a movie. Their shows are always so captivating and moving that I get immersed throughout.
I’ve never been in DCI, and barely know anything about it. But I did marching band all through high school at Lewis Cass HS in Walton, IN, and got the honor of marching on that same field for ISSMA state championship all 4 years of high school, and then got to present the dairy farmers scholarship the following year to the winning band. I guess what I’m trying to say is... Videos like this remind me why the work was so worth it, to not just make beautiful music, but to create a moment that stays with people and resonates.
It won’t be a dream in forever....that won’t be touchable. We will all be together watching our loved ones and best DCI hopes as they parade themselves onto the field spreading their hopes and experiences from yard line to yard line. The elegance of dance, flags, rifles and numerous other props miraculously choreographed throughout the musical ambiance while rhythmically marching while listening to every imaginable instrumentation is always breathtaking. Although I know all of us are anxiously anticipating to see all of the next innovative designs. Just being able to go back and see what all of us have done in the past, we should take time to truly admire what we did in our pasts because it was honestly stunningly beautiful. ❤️
The baritone solo being like Mr Willy Wonka singing Pure Imagination is playing really well. I wish Gene Wilder was alive and went to DCI to meet the SCV and see them play it from his film.
