Top end of Stanage edge has good views mate,more a layby tho not a car park. Can park up at surprise view and walk up to the top thats a great view. Also check out Bamford Edge,great views of Ladybower

thanks man, its hard to predict but usually its when its high pressure, been raining the days before and cold and clear on the night

I used to collect fossils there in the 1960s not changed beautiful photos.travvelled from altrincham.
Beautiful place is Winnats Pass, You can get some really good views at the top.

do you know of any car parks in the peak district with goods views ? preferably within 30 min drive from Sheffield city ?
