I like my halloween cookies like I like my chocolate: dark and delicious!!! Dark chocolate cookie outside and cherry cookie inside. The cherry is very subtle but it's the spooky vibes that count!!!

Totally making these for valentines day!!
I’m lazy and like the presentation of the cookies more than the flavor combo. So I’m going to make red velvet cookies and color half the batter black. Thank you so much for this idea. ❤🖤
You do it yet? Did it still look like lava rock?
That is so cool, i've never seen anyone make cookies like that!
Wow this looks heavenly!
1:13 added a bunch of stuff with no subtitle. I assume the leavening (baking soda or powder) and salt?
My apologies. I remember making those subs but I must have lost them somewhere along the way. They are 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
There’s a link to the written recipe in the description as well.
@@thesexyraddish950 I saw the written recipe, but I thought I ought to point it out so it can be fixed anyway.
What goes in, must come out. Dont't be afraid.
Well, that's creativity! Awesome
Dope nails ✅
Visually stunning cookies ✅

Thank goodness for the volume button because that music will drive me insane within seconds. Love the rest of the video though😂
This is really great video! Well done 👏👏
Thank you!!☺️
I want to do this next Christmas except maybe green and red!
I’ve made this recipe twice, one time with no black food coloring and too big of chocolate chunks. The second time I made them it was pretty successful but i encountered a few problems. I followed the recipe to the tee and didn’t change a single thing :/ My cookies spread very little. Not even a milimeter. The amount of dough I had was very little compared to the dough seen in the video. Did you double the batch? The cracks were less defined and more so because I couldn’t fit completely the black dough around the red. my amount of dough ratio was super far off. I had wayyy more red than black both times I made it. Overall fun experience but if you have any tips to make mine better? Any help is appreciated!
Interesting... I've honestly never run across these issues but let's break it down and cover some common problems to see what we can do!
1.First, did you follow the video or the written recipe? There is a point in the video where the subtitles got lost as I added rising agents...
2. That wouldn't account for the difference in dough volumes though. I didn't double the batch. You should have about 3 cups of dough for each color. Are they both the same texture? Like is one a wet dough and the other dry? That might help me pinpoint the issue... I will say that the black dough does have to be flattened quite a bit to fit around the red but it should definitely be possible and you should have pretty equal amounts of each.
3. Does the dough feel oily or just wet? Usually when cookies don't spread it is due to too much flour and not enough oil.
4. How long did you chill your cookies before baking? If they get too cold they will spend their whole bake time warming up and won't have time to spread. You might try chilling for a shorter period or chilling in the fridge instead of the freezer so that the oil in them will be warmer and promote spreading.
5. You could also check your baking powder. If you have old baking powder that could account for a lack of rising or spreading.
6. What texture are your baked cookies? are they gooey, crumbly, or just bricks?
7. Finally, double check your oven temperature. Sometimes ovens aren't really the temperature they say they are.
That's all I can think to check at the moment... let me know if any of these suggestions sound like they could be your problem.
I believe those hot lava cookies are supposed to be perfect for Hawaiian luaus.
Thanks for sharing your great recipe. have a nice weekend dear.
Thank you! You too!
OLÁ! Podemos usar o cacau black para a massa ficar bem preta? Obrigada.
❤️❤️
Hey really nice video, Can you please share what mode do you use for the baking? I mean: top, top bottom, convection? Thanks :D
I moved my rack to the middle and baked it there but I would do top rack if I didn’t want to go through the effort. And I don’t have a convection oven so just regular baking.
Could you possibly make the doughs a day in advance to save time? As long as I refrigerate overnight
check out the updated recipe video in the description! It will have much better results and is way easier. And yes you can make and refrigerate over night.
Question, u added 3 ingredients after the 2 cups of flour... What is it? I wanna make these sexy cookies 4 my daughter. Please respond back 🥰
this video is the old recipe. Check out the updated recipe vid linked in the description or at the beginning of the video.
@@thesexyraddish950 Thank u so much. I didn't know u done a upgrade version.., gonna look 4 it. Appreciate u responding back 2 me 🥰❤
The same question.how much baking powder &else.liked the recipe ❤.
These look fun! My daughter is allergic to seeds and nuts though... so unfortunately coconut products are out... what is an alternative? Most substitutes I see for coconut oil are all seed/nut products.
Any type of oil should work. I use coconut because it tends to be a bit better for health and solidifies when cold. If you aren’t vegan, you can use melted butter as a replacement or just regular vegetable oil.
Hello, looks very nice and probably tastes even better :-) my friend and i want to make them but we are not sure about measurements. how much is an "cup" in centiliters / milliliters, since we are from Europe, if you can help us by indicating us what size the cup is in standard measurements >.< sorry for bothering you but we want to make it right :(
Of course! 1 cup is 8oz or around 250 ml, and I'm not sure if you use the same teaspoon measures as we do but a teaspoon is 5 ml. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask! Happy baking!
@@thesexyraddish950 thank you !
good job, you didn't write it in the title but that actually vegan cookies, do you think i can change the coconut oil with soja milk ? 😊
You could replace the coconut oil with any other type of neutral oil but I’m not sure if using an alternative milk in its place would go well. You can swap the water for soja milk if you like.
I can find only tart cherry juice. >.< it probably will not be a good substitute for the black cherry juice? :(
An updated recipe came out today with no cherry juice! ua-cam.com/video/DJljxjNUfMg/v-deo.html
For the Cherry juice, what brand did you use? Or did you get a jar of cherries and use the juice from that?
Whoops! Missed your comment... I bought juice. There's usually a section in grocery stores in the shelf stable juice isle with 100% fruit juice. At least in midwest America there is. But I'm looking to revamp this recipe since a few ppl have mentioned issues with getting the cracked look so stay tuned!!
What kind of food coloring did u use? Mine was definitely not as rich in color
Wilton’s gel color. It took A LOT to get the colors that rich. I’m sure there are more potent dyes out there somewhere but I honestly just used a heavy hand when adding the color.
I feel seen by this cookie recipe
How did you make the black food dye mixture? Thanks :)
I dissolved black gel food coloring into the water. It takes A LOT of black dye. At least with the dye I used.
just BURN the cookies on broil HI
Just made two batches of these, just black :( the red did not come through at all, as the black did not crack.
There's an updated version of the recipe. It's linked in the description and at the start of the video. I highly suggest you try that recipe instead.
I love the name of your channel ahuehdsf
Is there anyway we can make it without the cherry juice ?
I released an updated recipe that has no cherry juice today! ua-cam.com/video/DJljxjNUfMg/v-deo.html
مبدعه مره مره 🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦
I’m gluten free is there any substitute for the flour
I'm not sure. Green banana flour might work but I haven't tested it. Also try the updated recipe:ua-cam.com/video/DJljxjNUfMg/v-deo.html
I love the music!! Who's the artist?
It's a from adobe stock called Halloween Clown Circus by DJ DENZ
Can I melt the chocolate and oil over a double boiler instead of in a microwave?
For sure! I do the microwave cuz it’s easy and hard for people following the recipe to mess up. But whatever gets them liquid will work just fine.
@@thesexyraddish950 thank u!
No eggs? Strange
This is a vegan cookie recipe great for people who can't have eggs or just like tasty cookies! check the updated version in the description for a simpler, more detailed recipe if you want more info

Wonderful video
very pretty
🎺🎻🎼
THAT SURE WAS A LOT OF DYE
Very hawaiian lol
Brilliant, although I had to turn the sound off! 🤣
🤍🤍🤍
Todo está muy bien, pero tus uñas largas y con esmalte definitivamente mal😢e insalubre.
Ten presente que estás manejando un producto de grado alimenticio.
Cancer Cookie anyone? Way to much dye
Use organic dye and less cancer drama!
Or just skip the red dye and use the cherry juice reduction by itself for the red portion, and add some Dutch processed cocoa for the black portion. Might turn out to be pink rather than red on the inside, but that's OK
OR…don’t eat them everyday? It’s a one off, unique treat, relax.
Everything causes cancer, sweetheart
@@TakenTooknot Dutch processed but black cocoa powder ( the kind used for oreos) maybe a little beet to step up that red color a little more even.
